I created a simple grading system that ranks quarterbacks by their relative stats weighted by the importance of each stat to winning. this is an unbiased method that correlates with winning better than passer rating or QBR
I also ranked top 10 that had the highest and lowest difference between expected wins and actual given their production. This means these quarterbacks were carried by their teams and/or had strong intangibles, or carried their teams the most and/or stat padded

I went to church today for the first time ever at the request of my Christian friend. It was actually a very nice experience and though I don’t believe in God, I felt more at home in that sanctuary than I have just about anywhere else. You christfags might be onto something

Dave Gettleman talks draft strategy; won't force QB pick

Gettleman said this is a deep draft, particularly at wide receiver, offensive tackle, cornerback and safety.
“I won’t force a pick,” Gettleman said. “You can’t draft for need. You will get screwed every time and make a mistake.”
Is a quarterback in its own special category?
“No, it is not,” he said.
Gettleman never wavered in answering any of the 16 quarterback-related questions he was asked, including, “Is selecting a quarterback a priority for you?”
“The priority is to select the best players,” Gettleman said. “Last year, we could not pass up on Saquon. He was the best player in the draft. You can’t do that. We have had this conversation before. ... At the end of the day, we are going to take the best players.”

Attached: yaakav-ben-nistell.jpg (960x960, 92K)

>Last year, we could not pass up on Saquon. He was the best player in the draft
Not even the best running back lol
Quenton nelson and Derwin James were the best players from last years class

Holy shit! Check Wikipedia, the fix is in!

Also regarding need he said: "When you start reaching for the need, you get into trouble. You can never have too many good players at one position."

Q: You said this is a really strong draft. What about it makes you say that?
A. ...we have more players rated as first, second, third or fourth-round values that I have had in any draft. This is my eighth draft as a GM. In terms of the volume of players on the board, this is the thickest.

Q: Any gold jacket guys in this draft?
A: Yes. I don’t want to put a number on it. This is a draft that has been well ballyhooed by the volume of players and the depth. It is legit.

Q: What position has impressed you the most in this draft?
A: The wides (wide receivers) are real thick. The offensive tackles are thick. The secondary is thick. Corners and safeties. When I say thick, I am talking about up and down the draft. Rounds 1 through 7.

Q: Do you need a defensive playmaker in this draft?
A: You sat there and watched it. We went 4-4 the second half of the year and we had three games that if we make a stop, we are 7-1... I said it at the postseason presser and I will say it again, we need some defensive playmakers.
...
You talk about roster construction, I have always been a big believer that if you look at the great defenses, they have a lead dog in every level.

Q: Do you have a lead dog on your defense right now at any level?
A: Ogletree. Alec. Our two safeties that we brought in, Antoine and Jabrill. Antoine has been a lead dog. We are getting there.

Q: Upfront is where you think you need?
A: ... We have to keep adding to that mix. ... We are getting there. It doesn’t happen overnight.

Q: When you look at this draft, is there a chance you get to six and all of these top stud defensive players are gone?
A: A chance that they are all gone? No.

Q: Do you have your guy right now hoping he is there at six?
A: We have to finish doing the board. We are still screwing around. I have an open mind

>i read mock drafts

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 2019 mock draft only on the NFL network

Q: As you continue to construct this team, do you feel that you can win now and in the future?
A: We won two more games than the team did the year before. Then, you had all those games where we lost by a point, two points. We lost eight games by a touchdown or less. The NFL is tight. A few more players get you over the top

Q: How does the dynamic change when you have two first round picks?
A: I have never had that. It is fun. I am excited about it. ... I am excited. You are going to draft two guys that you will have for five years, which is a big help with the cap now a days. I am looking forward to it.

Why is no one talking about how the NFL is letting the Falcons play all but three of their games in domes?

As much shit as the Saints get for being domebabbies, the Falcons' offense benefits massively from the fact that they also play in a dome. What the fuck?

How hard do you think it'll be for Eli Manning to get into the HoF considering (A) The media has always hated him and will stop at nothing until the Giants have replaced and forgotten him and (B) he has consistently been saddled with bottom-five rosters since winning his second Super Bowl?

Attached: 1555862391844.jpg (822x722, 156K)

because the falcons are mediocre

All NFL games should be played in domes. The era of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers having an advantage needs to end.

Because unlike the Saints the Falcons don't automatically shit the bed outdoors, it's also funny you think anyone gives a shit about the Falcons enough to call them out for it

Calvin Ridley caught zero passes in his NFL debut outdoors, suddenly looked like God in three-straight dome games, and then came back down to Earth when he played outdoors again. You tell me.

After he retires they'll act like they supported him the whole time.

>rookie WR is inconsistent

Draft advice =
>TE's & RBs are luxury picks, only take with high picks if you have an elite QB
>Corners past round1 are useless, smart teams take undrafted corners filled with raw potential and coach them up into 1st round talents
>Safeties past round 1 are useless, midrounders and undrafteds never become elite
>QBs past top10 are backup bums, Brady, Rogers, BigBen, Brees were all #1 overall talents in college with dumb scouts.
>WRs can be drafted anywhere, easiest position to be elite at
>DE is 1st round only
>DLine is top10 only
>OLine is any round, it's mostly a coaching experience position

In what world would he not get in? Regardless of how you feel about him, he's a Manning, has won two owls (one being an upset of the century), and has the entire Jew York media market behind him because as far as everyone's concerned there's only one NY team, being the Giants, and having some of the most powerful owners in the Maras, there isn't a single doubt about it.

Eli Manning's passer rating grid for 2018 vs the league average. Notice there's no red, meaning he's either average or above average in every part of the field
>Eli Manning's 2018 passer rating grid calls narrative into question. In eight of the 12 points on the grid, Manning’s passer rating was actually higher than the league average. In three of those, it was substantially higher than average despite the offensive line checking in near the bottom of the league in pass-blocking efficiency.
>
Only on one section of the field did Manning struggle, and that came on deep balls (20-plus yards) down the sideline. But even that fell within the average range and was the only location on the field where Manning was rated below 80.0.

Attached: D4t4Jd0X4AAdEI-.jpg (1750x1136, 150K)

In comparison here is Josh Rosen (the #4 QB taken last year behind Baker, Darnold and Josh Allen) who seems like a natural fit for a trade to the Giants to develop under Eli

No they just automatically shit the bed when a game matters

Horrible advice

what is your unpopular draft opinion Yea Forums?

Mine is that Josh Allen has less bust potential than Bosa. Allen is more raw but doesn't have injury concerns and can be a much better player than Bosa in the long term. I"d rather have the guy who needs to learn more pass rush moves but who has elite speed and can drop into coverage than the guy who is at risk for missing 13 games a season

Attached: gallery_medium.jpg (600x400, 31K)

God I hope the Tards take Murray just so Bosa can go to SF and actually be seen on primetime sometime

This QB class will be the second worst of the 2010s (2013)

You two are confusing the Saints with the Falcons. Saints won a SB while nobody has shit the bed like the Falcons
>2013 NFC Championship in the Georgia Dome...Falcons went up 17-0 before shitting the bed and losing to Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers 24-28
>2016: Falcons were up 28-3 in the Super Bowl in Houston's NRG Stadium before shitting the bed and losing 28-34 to the Patriots

Attached: DdabrcRVQAAmXEp.jpg (750x446, 78K)

thats not unpopular at all

>comparing QBs without context of the team around them, coaching, scheme they play in, etc.
Shiggy

face it >rosen is ass and will be out of the league in 2 years

Where's Brady's?

Fine. Devin White will bust.

>From 2012 through 2018, Brady has completed 64.3 percent of his passes. That’s slightly better than his overall career number of 64 percent.

>During that span, he has tossed 217 touchdown passes, which alone would be good enough for 33rd in NFL history. That number bests the career marks of Hall of Famers Terry Bradshaw and Kurt Warner.

>As for yardage, Tom Brady has thrown for 30,535 yards since turning 35 in 2012. That number on its own would be good enough for 46th all time, besting the career totals of Bradshaw, Len Dawson and Randall Cunningham.

holy FUCK btfo everyone else

>video game metaphors

I’m sure he will develop great behind that o line

He'll develop by being more used to NFL defenses after a year of studying and playing against them and have an expanded offense to work with.

Just like David Carr did right?

The Rams and Bears teams in Trubisky's and Goff's first years were way better than the shit that was the Cardinals

The starters on offense and offensive playcalling?

he wont fall past packers at 30 IF he falls that far

Shitty coaching, gameplanning, and playcalling

Russell and Mahomes are the only good ones out of those three and Mahomes is mixed at that. Watson turns to shit the second Hopkins gets teamed up on

Oh so you’re talking out of your ass. The cards were 32nd in the league on offense last year even while Bradford was starting

The Giants will be the Browns for the next 10 years if that mouthbreather pulls that retarded shit

yikes

That Carr was ruined because of how shit his team was around him.

>moving the goalposts

Kyler is mixed too

I didn't mean statistically, Trubisky had less help on offense with the receiver group and John Fox's predictable run run pass playcalling

Darfting players by Fantasy Football stats doesn't work. He is a pro QB that accurately leads passers, reads the field and put's the ball where it needs to be without his mechanics ever breaking down. Good pocket awareness with the athletcism to to tuck and run if need be.

He goes before Haskins, and has a better career

>Watson turns to shit the second Fuller isn't on a fly and Watson can't just chuck it deep

>Darfting

Daniel Jones isn't accurate, he's terrible against actual good teams. He's had multiple games below 200 yards passing, multiple games well below 60% passing, he can't play in the rain and he's going to a place that's cold and rains

Kendall Wright, Josh Bellamy, and Dontrelle Inman vs Larry Fitz, Christian Kirk, and JJ Nelson. Plus Rosen has David Johnson to help him in the receiving game where Howard couldn't with Trubisky

Rosen has a good team around him offensively if they do well in the draft

This. So tired of the taking heads jabbering just to hear themselves talk. Mock drafts are worse than fantasy football

>I really, really like women

Attached: 0418-aaron-rodgers-getty-4.jpg (1200x920, 99K)

The media needs QBs, RBs, and WRs to go high in the Draft for traffic/clicks purposes. Offensive and defensive linemen literally do not do a fucking thing because most fans are brainlets who have no concept that nothing happens without good O-Line and D-Line play.

hte oline was so much worse it didnt matter
david johnson didnt help in the passing game. they ran him up the middle every time

This. This is a draft for O-Linemen and D-linemen, but those guys don't draw, so QBs that have no business being the conversation for the first round get pushed

Ok you take Kizer and Hundley then

Erin was hoping he'd get some balls slapped against his face

My point is that Rosen is going to develop fine because Goff and Trubisky developed fine while they were also in bad situations

>stats

watch the game tapes, he had to deal with terrible OPL play and receivers that could never get open.

youtube.com/watch?v=XdBCOIl6YUg

Your point is wrong

Only jews are expecting anything of Rosen. Terrible attitude and terrible quarterback.

Not all mulattos are created, just better sports conpetitors than single raced trash

Hundley and Kizer will both be better backups than any other brainlet black QB or unathletic white QB

Daily reminder that your life will never be as good as mine. Have a great week!

Have a counterpoint? If not then fuck off

His attitude during this whole offseason with the Cardinals proclaiming their love for another QB has been excellent.

Watson was always shit, he has shown some growth in the NFL, he took so many sacks last season because he scrambled less. But look at his throws in college, it was a lot of running around behind the line them throwing it far, his midrange was very inaccurate. He will never be a top 10 qb, but he's just good enough, and the right race, to never lose his job (and that's a good thing)

Reminds me of how people felt about pey pey....

>Terrible attitude
can u explain? I didn't pay any attention to cards last year.

When he was drafted he said he thinks the teams that didn't pick him made a mistake

give him a few years

teammates on the cards don't like him and he has a reputation for being uncoachable

Make out with your kids and dad again?

>teammates on the cards don't like him
source?

What a fucking monster how is he still in the NFL?

Draft Rumors
- Scouts have gotten this class all wrong, Defensive prospects got way overrated, this is going to be one of the best Offensive Lineman draft of all time, expect a lot of O-Lineman to push defensive 1st round talents into the 2nd round. Teams big boards are flooded topheavy with O-Lines over D-Lines.
- The first round could have 4 QBs go in round 1 or just 1, the only guarantee is Kyler Murray.
- Bad RB class for #1 type players, but lots of solid backups or role players. Patriots really want Rodney Anderson, Rams/Eagles want Josh Jacobs.
- Deepest WR class ever, expect WR needy teams to calmly pass on 1st/2nd round talents for equally talented 3rd/4th round WRs.

>My parents didn't love me so I make fun of dads who show their kids affection and caring

Wannabe abortions need to learn some etiquette.

The Giants will probably draft LB Devin White or DT Ed Oliver at 6 and DE Clelin Ferrell or RT Cody Ford at 17. Then QBs either Will Grier, Tyree Jackson or Jarrett Stidham

Nah dude, kissing your dad on the lips is fucking gay.

He also had a ton of tweets in college that were Kaepernick tier SJW stuff. Rumors that he refuses to take responsibility and throws team-mates under the bus. Not a leader and also uncoachable. Typical Jew stuff

Muttholmes has played one season with a stacked offense against teams with shit defense.

Lamar Jackson got his asskicked in the playoffs until the Chargers played prevent defense

Bpa at 6 and then move down for jones at 9 before denver snags him.

It always comes back to him being jewish. G*d I hate the fact that the mods don't care about enforcing the rules.

I couldn't less about what players tweet or say in college because people change but I would like to see a source on those rumors though

How many QBs have put up those same numbers as Mahomes?

All I want is two wins so Gettleman can get fired.

I feel bad for Shurmur because I think he could be a good coach, Gettleman is just a cancer.

So in other words it's just people projecting him to be a bad teammate before the NFL and nobody on his current team talking bad about him? Got it

Attached: areyouretarded..png (493x445, 214K)

>all these people mocking the colts taking a receiver in the first round
Grigson was fired years ago, we don’t have a retarded GM anymore. They’re taking Dexter Lawrence.

If Kyler Murray isn't drafted by the Cardinals I think he lands with the Dolphins unless they really are committed to tanking for Tua.

The Raiders arent going to bail on Derek Carr so soon after paying him all that money, the Giants seem fine with sticking with Eli this year and I think Elway would be hesitant to pick a guy like Kyler after his recent misses.

Gettleman is doing just fine. I loved obj and landon collins too but this draft is going to be fantastic. He drafts as good as anyone outside of Belichick. Look at nyg before he left as a talent evaluator vs. after.

He was stuck with a talentless roster because JR literally only drafted homosexual negroes. Its going to take time but he has been successful everywhere he has been.

murray is a manlet bust he's pre-draft report had him as a 4th rounder

perfect fit for the dolphins then

If they draft Kyler they're still getting the 1 pick.

>Gettleman is doing just fine

>Trading for a punter
>Trading for Alec Olgetree
>Prolonging this interminable Eli Manning retirement tour.
>Letting Collins walk rather than just trading him
>Trading OBJ
>Signing OBJ and paying his signing bonus only to trade him the following season
>Drafting a RB with a number 2 overall pick in a deep RB class
>Signing a 90 year old Johathan Stewart for absolutely no reason
>Replacing Collins with a fucking 34 year old Antonie Bethea

>Gettleman is doing just fine

I doubt he has last year’s stat line again just because of how insane last year’s was, but he’s going to be an elite/top 5 QB for years to come. I can’t wait for him to “regress” to like 35 TDS/10 INTs this season and all of Yea Forums acts like he’s bad for it

You’re right he’s a top 5

what are the odds of Hockenson dropping to 15

>The Giants (along with the Raiders) are going to be the storyline of the first round of the draft, holding the sixth and 17th. The Giants possess three of the first 37 picks (No. 6, No. 17 and No. 37 overall) and 12 total picks this spring, giving them the perfect opportunity to find the talent necessary to, whether they want to admit it or not, hasten the rebuild that they’re clearly starting.

The Giants have had these players in for Pre-draft visits:

OFFENSE

QB Kyler Murray Oklahoma
QB Dwayne Haskins Ohio State
QB Daniel Jones Duke
QB Drew Lock Mizzou
QB Jarrett Stidham Auburn
QB Will Grier West Virginia

OT Greg Little Ole Miss
OT Tytus Howard Alabama
OT Andre Dillard Washington State

>If the Giants aren’t going to take an early shot on a quarterback, their best chance for success is keeping their immobile old quarterback clean. The Giants did a good job improving their OL by trading for RG Kevin Zeitler but there is still a huge need at RT where Chad Weeler is huge liability in almost every aspect of the game. Wheeler was a human turnstile allowing 45 pressurs and 6 sacks. He also graded out as the worst run-blocking tackle in the league per PFF

Attached: giants reby_sky_giants_4_bg_by_tompach.jpg (583x350, 35K)

There are six QBs who are inarguably better than him and a whole mess who I will at least humor arguments for but are also better.

>gnats

Gettleman is extremely suspect in FA but he is a draft beast. He might not go with the herd but he will be vindicated.

How good is he as an OC? I mean Beli is always more focused on the defense. Even on Mic'd up, it never ever shows Beli talking to or having a hand in the offense at all. it seems he leaves it up to Josh and Brady while Beli oversees the defense.

Surely Josh is the best OC in the game right? No one has done more with less than him

>Giants finished the 2018 season with the second-lowest sack total (30) in the NFL
>The Giants are in prime position to select one of the top edge rushers in this class. The decision might come down to Sweat, Rashan Gary and Brian Burns.
>Rumor has it the Giants are taking an edge rusher, which makes sense. Their best one, recently signed ex-Cardinal Markus Golden, has not fully recaptured the explosiveness he showed prior to his October 2017 ACL injury, and 2018 third-rounder Lorenzo Carter had a quiet rookie season. Plus, GM Dave Gettleman prefers to build his defense from front to back. Clearly, heading into the 2019 season with Martin and Golden as two of the Giants’ primary pass-rushers is completely unacceptable and the team desperately needs a game-changing pass-rusher. The 2019 NFL Draft sports one of the deepest pass-rushing classes that we’ve seen in decades and the Giants, if they play their cards right, could easily get their hands on an immediate starter with any of their first three picks of the draft

>Giants Team needs:
>Defensive Front Seven: BJ Hill, Dalvin Tomlinson and RJ McIntosh give the Giants a workable talent base on the defensive line, but most talent is needed. 3-4 OLB Markus Golden is on a one-year, prove-it deal on the edge opposite 3-4 OLB Lorenzo Carter (4 sacks as a rookie last year), and the Giants’ second-level interior duo of ILB BJ Goodson and ILB Alec Ogletree got eaten up both against the run and in pass coverage all last year.

Undoubtedly. His ability to get value out of cast offs and aging veterans that other teams wouldn't touch speaks to his ability.

However, personnel issues are easier for the patriots to deal with than any other team because the patriots have credibility that other teams lack. Playing for the pats is like a privilege for a veteran player chasing a ring. They will put the team first because they trust them. Other teams have to manage personalities.

Him leaving the colts at the altar seemed to work out well for both of them
McDicks got to get carried to another ring by Belichick and Brady, and the colts got their best head coach since Dungy

Without memeing, is he really a Brady/beli babby? Because he goes under the radar when people talk about good OC or even offensive HCs, but he seems to scheme really well for the Pats

I'm not sure how much of a belibabby he is, but you'd be foolish not to think he has one of if not the easiest OC job.

>you'd be foolish not to think he has one of if not the easiest OC job

They have a 41 year old QB, at 31 year old slot reciever, a load of shitty WRs and a rookie RB

And gronk who was basically useless the entire season

That 41 year old qb is the GOAT the the WRs are not shitty, they just aren't flashy. The Patriots consistently get the most undervalued players in the league. He's good, but he has the dream job and he knows it. That's why he came back.

Eli according to his tape, he still has something left in the tank. It's just with a pocket QB like Eli protecting him is important but the NYG have had one of if not the worst O line in the NFL the past 3-4 seasons. If NY was smart they would trade down and draft some o linemen.

Also drafting Saquon was a good decision considering hes close to Todd Gurley and Adrian Peterson in terms of talent.

Every athlete says this, get over yourself

Saquon is going to have a better career than Gurley because Todd has the arthritis.

when will people stop falling for this “Eli isn’t washed up” meme because they looked at some box scores? watch a Giants game once in a while, he’s a liability to his team.

Browns are winning the owl this season

I did. And most of his tape the last 2 years. Like any pocket QB his game is very reliant on pass protection. And the giants are the worst I've seen on film in quite sometime. Their RT I forget his name but he was the worst linemen I've seen on film ever, being the worst tackle I've seen in pass protecting situations and to make it worse he's equally garbage if not worse in run blocking situations. This guy alone makes me want to give Eli a pass. Let alone the rest of their line being shit.

Let's not pretend like it's 100 year old P. Manning out there, it's Brady.

>Gettleman is drafts as good as anyone outside of Belichick
>Gettleman is extremely suspect in FA but he is a draft beast

Gettleman is a clown at the draft, he's pure entertainment (unless he's drafting for your team, then you just have to sit back and laugh)

NJ.com:
>Gettleman's track record as GM had come under fire in some corners of the Giants’ fan base in recent weeks as his candidacy became known, specifically his draft record.
>Gettleman inherited several of the Panthers’ star players, and his draft classes have been criticized by fans
>How strong were his Panthers drafts compared to Jerry Reese? Gettleman had five drafts as Panthers GM. We scored his side-by-side matchup with Reese at 2-2 with the 2017 class still too early to call. Reese won in 2014 and 2016 while Gettleman prevailed in 2013 and 2015

nj.com/giants/2017/12/how_strong_were_dave_gettlemans_drafts_jerry_reese.html

Here is who Gettleman took in the 1st-4th rounds his last four drafts as GM of Panthers before they fired his dumb ass

2017
1ST (#8 overall): RB Christian McCaffrey
>had 1,086 yards as a rookie and then had 1,965 yards last year but could have taken Alvin Kamara at any point before #67
2ND (#40 overall): WR Curtis Samuel
>115 yards as a rookie, 494 yards last year. Should have taken JuJu Smith-Schuster out of USC instead
2ND (#64 overall): OT Taylor Moton
>Gettleman traded up to get him, giving up both the #72 pick and DE Kony Ealy (who he traded in 2014). didn't play as a rookie (only 70 snaps) but was a very solid RT last year as a starter after sucking at LT. LT is still a HUGE need for the Panthers
3RD (#77 overall): DE Daeshon Hall
>total bust. Already cut from the team. Gettleman traded up to get him, giving up both the #98 and #115 picks. Edge rusher is still a HUGE need for the Panthers

2016
1ST (#30 overall): DT Vernon Butler
>Hasn't started a single game
2ND (#62 overall): CB James Bradberry
>meh, he's still a starter at outside corner
3RD (#77 overall) CB Daryl Worley
>Gettleman traded up to get him, getting #77 and #141 in excnage for #93, #129 and #168. He is no longer on team. Was cut by Eagles. Was with Raiders last year

2015
1ST (#25 overall): LB Shaq Thompson
>A replacement for Thomas Davis is now a big need that Shaq might take care of, but it was a waste of a pick back in 2015 as Shaq's first four years with the Panthers were wasted as a back up to Thomas Davis who didn't see the field more tha half the team’s defensive snaps
2ND (#41 overall): WR Devin Funchess
>Gettleman traded up to get him, giving up #57, #89 and #201. No longer with team. During his 4 years with Panthers caught for 473, 371, 870, 549
4TH (#102 overall): RT Daryl Williams
>started his 2nd and 3rd years before being replaced at RT by Taylor Moton when Moton didn't work out at LT. LT is still a HUGE need for the Panthers

2014
1ST (#28 overall): WR Kelvin Benjamin
>no longer with the Panthers. Went to Bills, who cut him and then went to Chiefs where he had a 1 year deal that is now up. Should have take Davante Adams, Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry etc
2ND: (#60 overall): DE Kony Ealy (now with Jets)
>no longer with the Panthers. Went to Pats, who cut him. Went to Jets, who cut him. Now with Raiders. Edge rusher is still a HUGE need for the Panthers. Could have taken DeMarcus Lawrence at #28 instead of Kelvin Benjamin and got Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry etc at #60 instead of DE Kony Ealy
3RD (#92 overall): RG Trai Turner
>was a great pick. Went so late because he left LSU too early but he's a Pro Bowler at RG who signed a four-year, $45 million contract extension in 2017
4TH (#128 overall): FS Tre Boston
>got cut by Panthers, then cut by Chargers, was with Cardinals last year. FS is still a big need for the Panthers (need a S to pair with Eric Reid who plays closer to the line)

RG3 is better than lameme hackson at least

NBC Sports:
Could it be doing whatever it takes to add quarterback Kyler Murray? Maybe they have their eyes on another QB like Missouri's Drew Lock, which a recent mock draft had the Raiders taking via a trade with the 49ers.

If the surprise will be in fact a signal caller, Ohio State's Dway Haskins could be an options as the Raiders reportedly are "super impressed" with the former Buckeye.

Why does anyone rate Daniel Jones?

he's small school so people will say his awful stats are because he played with scrubs, ignoring that for the most part he played against scrubs too (see: Josh Allen). he also had Eli Manning's QB coach in college, so somehow him being bad while having that coach is going to translate to him being good without that coach in the NFL. basically, draft pundits overhype the fuck out of QBs when the class is shit, which it is this year.

Cringe

After signing John Brown and Cole Beasley in FA, it would be surprising to see the Bills draft a WR at 9 overall.

Last year, Bills rookie WR Robert Foster led all rookies in Y/RR.
2016 and 2017 leaders in Y/RR were Tyreek Hill and Juju Smith Schuster.

Robert Foster led all rookie WRs in yards/route run

And yet he's still a literal who. Weird.

I meant like someone credible saying that there is rumored tension in his current situation because otherwise theres no evidence to suggest that whereas in the screenshot attached to my post theres evidence that his teammates actually like him.

that's because yards per route run is a meme statistic without proper sample size. dude averaged like 3 targets a game.

Priority #1 should be giving Wentz the best support possible. They did not bother to replace Wisniewski in FA, and Brooks may not be ready for week 1. Also, Seumalo should be a backup, not a starter.

WR is fine and they should be able to find a good RB in round 2. OL makes the most sense.

Yeah that's a good mock. This is a pretty deep class at safety so while i wouldn't be upset at CGJ in round 1, i think between him, Thornhill, Savage, Abram, whoever else i'm forgetting, they should still have a good one available at 53.

Yeah probably, but a guy can hope.

So that's four teams with even records (Arizona, Carolina, New York, and Seattle) vs. Brady, and one team with a winning record (Denver).

the only way a QB is getting drafted in the top 5 is if a team trades up

>greatest qb of modern era
You mean System* qb

He was counting .500 as a "winning record" and hoping no one would call him out on it.

Jokes on him, with these updated stats now we know Brady is actually garbage

Would the Cards really pick Murray for first overall pick?

Not with Rosen on the roster

he's perfect for Kliff but looks like the Cards front office are vetoing him

G
Meeen

theyre the new Browns, so yes

It's becoming increasingly apparent that one of two things will happen with the first-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft:

1. The Cardinals will select Kyler Murray and trade Josh Rosen.

2. Arizona will trade this pick to a team - probably the Raiders - that will want to choose Murray.

I'm going to lean toward the Cardinals taking him in the wake of Kliff Kingsbury telling everyone at the combine that his team picking Murray is a "done deal." This could be a smoke screen, and if so, I think it'll work because the Raiders love Murray and would love to obtain him.

my condolences

Los Angeles Times: NFL mock draft 2019 results: 32 reporters who cover their teams on a daily basis make their first-round picks

No. 1 Arizona Cardinals | DT Quinnen Williams, Alabama
>The Cardinals like Josh Rosen, and I don’t see them taking a quarterback in the first round two years in a row

No. 2 San Francisco 49ers | DE Nick Bosa, Ohio State

3. New York Jets | OLB Josh Allen, Kentucky
>Allen is the perfect weapon

No. 4 Oakland Raiders | OLB Devin White, LSU
>I probably should have gone with an every-down rusher like Ed Oliver in this no-trade exercise, but White can rush, cover and lead this defense for a decade.

No. 5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers | DT Ed Oliver, Houston
>with the team moving on from Gerald McCoy, they will select Oliver

No. 6 New York Giants | DE Montez Sweat, Mississippi State
>Sweat should give them the kind of sack numbers they haven’t seen since the days of Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul.

...

10. Denver Broncos | QB Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State

...

13. Miami Dolphins | QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
>The Dolphins didn’t anticipate Kyler Murray’s draft-day slide, at least in this mock, but since he’s available at 13, they’ll rush to the podium

Who the fuck takes a DT #1 overall?

Aaron Donald

>13. Miami Dolphins | QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

I refuse to believe that the cards are stupid enough to pick Murray.
HOW DO WE KEEP LOSING TO THESE GUYS?

Prisco reports that the Cardinals' ownership floated the idea of drafting Murray because they had trouble selling tickets. However, this did not change matters, as the idea of drafting Murray generated a lukewarm response. Thus, the Cardinals are no longer going to draft Murray, according to Prisco

Pete Prisco: "Initially, the (Cardinals) ownership pushed for Kyler Murray. That much I know, I was told that. The reason they did it, they were having a hard time selling tickets. They put it out there, Arizona was lukewarm to it, so now all of a sudden, they’re pulling back, from what I’ve been told, they’re going to go in a different direction. They’re not going to draft Kyler Murray.”

Prisco says the Cardinals have narrowed their options down to 50/50 between two defensive linemen.

“From what I’ve been told, it will either be Quinnen Williams or Nick Bosa, and I think they are leaning more toward Nick Bosa,” Prisco said on the show.

@PriscoCBS If the Cards drafts Kyler Murray with the first overall pick, you lose all credibility with me. I don’t want to hear shit about your sources mislead you.

i live in TN, ill be there on friday

>No one has done more with less than him
When will this meme end?

Tom Brady has never defeated the New England Patriots.

I'm sure after all these years he's thrown at least one game ending int.

Prisco's updated Mock Draft:

I no longer have Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray going first overall to the Arizona Cardinals, but instead have them taking Alabama's Quinnen Williams. It still could be Ohio State's Nick Bosa (who he has going #2 to the 49ers)

So what does that do to Murray? I have the Raiders taking Murray in the fourth spot.

1 Cardinals
Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
>Rather than take a quarterback, I have them taking the best down player in the draft.

2 49ers
Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State
>The 49ers would love to get an elite edge player to add to their defense. Bosa would be that.

3 Jets
Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky
>When was the last time the Jets had a great edge rusher? Allen has that type of potential.

4 Raiders
Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
>Jon Gruden couldn't help himself in this scenario even though defense is the major need. This wouldn't be a good sign for Derek Carr

Attached: D4t-XfPXoAAaZRs.jpg (2048x2048, 547K)

49ers trade down and take N'Keal Henry.

>black qb for the raiders
Because that worked out so well last time...

>come back to the shithole that is /nfl/ after yearlong absence
>ctrl+f "old bay"
>3 results
nothing has changed, i see

Then Prisco released his What Teams 'Should' Do 2019 NFL Mock Draft: and he has Kyler Murray falling to the Dolphins

1 Cardinals
Nick Bosa, Ohio State
>They should take the best pass rusher in this class.

2 49ers
Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
>The 49ers have used a bunch of picks on DL in recent years, but this would be too good a player to pass up. Williams will be dominant

3 Jets
Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky
>The Jets have major problems rushing the passer from the edge. Allen would alleviate those

4 Raiders
Montez Sweat, EDGE, Miss State
>They can get by at LB with Brandon Marshall and Vontez Burfict, so they pass on Devin White

5 Bucs
Devin White, LB, LSU
>They need to get a big-time player in the middle of their defense as they switch to a 3-4

6 Giants
Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio St
>He would sit for a year behind Eli and then take over in 2020.

7 Jags
Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
>They need offensive help, but this is a player who would be too good to pass up. Oliver would add another impressive player to a defense loaded with talent

8 Lions
Brian Burns, DE, FSU
>They could go TE here, but I think the value is on the edge.

9 Bills
Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
>They've done a nice job of adding pieces around Josh Allen this offseason. So why not one more? Taylor would step in and be an immediate starter at RT

10 Broncos
Drew Lock, QB, Mizzou
>This kid has a chance to be a quality starter for a long time. Lock is a John Elway-type of passer.

11 Bengals
Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma
>They have to get better up front. He would be an upgrade at RT and could also play guard

12 Pack
Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
>They could also go offensive line here, but I opted for Bush

13 Dolphins
Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
>They need to take a shot on a quarterback. Why wait until next year to get a quarterback?

Etc

>NFC championship, the highest stakes game of the entire season

>crowd was so loud the rams couldn’t hear each other and were covering their ears in pain
>the refs missed multiple penalties on the saints, including delay of game and unnecessary roughness
>the rams had to come back from a 13 point deficit with multiple 4th down conversions
>had less than two minutes to drive down the field at the end of the game
>the rams needed two 50+ yard field goals at the end
>the saints got the ball in overtime
>still lose

"The Giants should've drafted a bottom 10 QB who will be replaced in 5 years instead of what could be a top 5 RB of all time!"

This is you right now

At the end of the day, Dak Prescott is a winner. He doesn't put up the gaudiest stats and he doesn't always win awards, but he wins. He wins and he keeps on winning. Winning is what Dak Prescott does.

So apparently OBJ is going full diva bitch on twitter?

Except AFC west

Dak Prescott is a good QB that is a clear jump above a game manager, and that's 100% fine. He had a sophomore slump, but bounced back for his third year and posted a high completion percentage (67.8%), low INT rate (8 ints, 1.5% INT rate), put up 22 TDs in the air and 6 on the ground. When you have a good o-line and an elite workhorse RB, this is exactly what you want in a QB. In three seasons, he has 14 game winning drives and 8 fourth quarter comebacks -- in addition to managing the game, he can go out and win some, too.

He shouldn't be paid Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson money, but if he can keep controlling the ball they Cowboys can put the pieces around him to make deep playoff runs. Dak is a great fit for Dallas if they can get him at the right cap hit, IMO.

I want Josh Allen in the AFCE aside from the Bills so Josh Allen can record sacks on Josh Allen.

Cringe as fuck, I hope you don’t think it’s even comparable to having a trip.

He'll never sack Brady tho

He's that good, he can go on any team and make a big impact. He stood out on a team not known to emphasize pass rushing over run stopping. They'll take a 2nd rounder, and they'll fucking get one for sure.

On to Bobby.

whos this sole goddess?

If an """analyst""" doesn't list LB as a top 3 need for the Browns you can immediately toss his analysis

This. Honestly dak is underrated af and hes the best fit for Dallas longterm
On a side note im going to miss cole world and im sure dak will as well.

dak is a game manager and the cowboys will never win anything with him lmao

i feel like there is a new tripfag everyday

I'm proud of him. If his fatass can so can any user here

they never really last longer than a single season

the draft needs to fucking get here already

Not looking forward to the draft.. t. Hawks fan

who doesn't love trading down into the third round?

It's been the same 4 or 5 autists for the past ten years. They are damaged beyond repair.

Heh.. maybe someone will bite on Clark, heh. Kill me.

When half of them are the same mentally ill tranny, it feels that way. Just wait till he accidentally exposes himself once again

>replying to tripfags

quit being retarded and just block them

is drinking pink lemonade gay?

We talkin made from powder in the can, aka countrytime, or are you buying some fancy shit?

Rossen is going for a late first round right after Haskins gets taken by pick 12. Rossen is better than any QB after that point and there are at least ten teams that want a QB as of right now

Countrytime lemonade in the 90's was god tier.

i want the draft already

Quinnen Williams is based

it's easy for any qb to have a winning record when you are coddle by the commisioner and have your o-line get away with holding so you never get touched or hurt

Attached: SaintsPatriotsGaletteHolding.jpg (588x392, 100K)

The league prevented the Patriots from 19-0 by letting the other team get away with infinite holding on the Tyree catch. So it all evens out really.

Quinnen Williams>Bosa

Bose is the undisputed #1 DE in the class
its debatable if Quinnen Williams is even the #1 DT in the class

the first Big Board (CBS) i'm reading has Oliver #1 and says Williams isn't even much better than the MIss State DT
So its certainly debatable
