Why?

>super league
>with psg juventus bayern manu and barca

lul

cause I want to see the best against the best, I don't care about burnley or real betis shitters.

That's what the CL is for
A super league would just kill local clubs

It's better for them, local leagues will get much more competitive without the big teams winning every title.

Would there still be national leagues?

yes.

>Manure
good kek

> losing all funding and viewership
> good for the league

Fucking never please.

No it wouldn't. I can't wait for Sampdoria and Atalanta to win the Serie A

WORLD LEAGUE

I'd stop watching football completely the moment this happened.

this.
World league with
12 UEFA teams
4 CONMEBOL teams
1 CONCACAF team
1 AFC team
1 CAF team
And 1 team that is a winner of a CONCACAF, CAF, AFC, OFC two round tournament.

PSG can't even win against Nantes you tool.

You can't be this stupid. If big teams leave national leagues TVs will stop giving a fuck about them.
Now go on and guess what's the biggest source of income for 99% of the teams in first divisions?

You pretty much described the new club world cup format

Id rather english leagues went back to basics.

Teams like brighton will never conpete with the top 6 even with all the funding they receive.
Majority of non top 6 fans want them to fuck off and create the superleague.
I wonder how manure and arselel fans will cope finishing bottom

>man u
>psg

>no tottenham
>no sevilla
>no arsenal
>no ajax

is this nigga srs

>finish bottom half every year.
>a-at least we got a load of money!!!

>I wonder how manure and arselel fans will cope finishing bottom
They won't.

On the topic at hand, the pre-season International Champions Cup seems to be trying this with a "global table" that doesn't really work: internationalchampionscup.com/en/standings

the requirement should be having won the Champion's League

bye bye citeh

Can't wait for the likes of Hamburger and Nottingham Forest to compete.

>boo hoo poor Ngubu will only get 4000 pounds a week, how will he be motivated to play?

>thinking anything like this would include the likes of Steaua Bucharest, Red Star Belgrade, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa

unironically bigger clubs than shitters like city

watch your own league monkey, you're ruining football

Here's a genius idea: why not take part of the Superleague's TV dosh and give it to national leagues? Smaller teams are stealing money from the bigger teams anyway?
This way you can have your cake and eat it too

How would a European Super League even work?

Current significance?
Historical significance?
A mix of the two?

The lack of a sensible entry criteria alone is why it'll never happen, regardless of other issues.

That's just not true. Hamburg definitely used to be. Not anymore

we already have a super league

Here's my idea:
First iteration uses ELO ranking average of the last 3 years to create two 16 teams leagues with relegation +3/-3
SuperLeague A
SuperLeague B
The Champions' League will now be an elimination only cup, with team only from the superleagues
The bottom 8 of SuperLeague B will be at risk of relegation back to their respective national leagues. They will have to face their national league's champions in a "best of 3 matches" game all at neutral grounds.
If two teams from the same nation are in the bottom 8 then they'll play the champions and the runner ups, with the lower placed team having to face the champions, and the higher placed team having to face the runner ups

this already sounds terrible

>Manchester United?

That user is from uefa though so better get used to it

Money. Richest clubs will be in, period. It also happens that those clubs are top clubs atm, so no, no Nottingham Forest. No Torino either. Probably not even Ajax or Spurs, as they are no part on the initial proposal.

The SL just take away everything good about the CL (the playoffs). It makes no fucking sense for the supporters, as it is closed, so by the 7-8 gameday there will be 75% of teams out of competition already. The proposed new CL from UEFA, being still terrible, it is much better option (why more places to irrelevant teams from irrelevant leagues? Would not be better for those to go to EL and try do something there?)
If you (UEFA/teams) want more money/games, why not add one more team per big league (Spain/PL/Serie A/Bundes/France) and fill the quota with farmer teams, make the same number of groups and rounds that the EL has now?

“We all want more international [European] games and less domestic, combined with an overall reduction of games because we don’t want to go over a certain number. And we said: ‘Let’s come up with a proposal.’”

>Agnelli suggests the expansion should keep 32 clubs qualifying for the Champions League, but have four groups of eight teams in the opening stage instead of eight of four. That would mean each club plays at least 14 matches, eight more than the current six. Asked what this will mean for national leagues, Agnelli appears comfortable with them being further undermined.

I want foreign plastics to fuck off and leave our football alone. Unfortunately I want doesn't get.

>European Superleague when?
What is the Champions League

what do you mean?

>"super teams" will keep their fanbase and funding when they lose most games in the super league
>they are so unique and special

Spurs are the 10th richest club in the world according to Deloitte. The only reason they wouldn't go in is because other countries are jealous of letting in too many English clubs.

A super CUP
We (the fans) want a super LEAGUE
