City are going to win the PL over this """once in a lifetime""" Liverpool team even without their best player. Still think Poop is a bald fraud?
Did he miscalculate his diving routine and bruise his vagina?
how long is he out for
Ye
Is his career over at this point?
>Player from Belgium
There's your problem
>Still think Poop is a bald fraud?
Yes. He hasn't won the CL since 2011 despite managing Barcelona, Bayern and City in the competition.
How many CLs did City win before Pep?
Probably 10-12 wee-

Can anyone share their thoughts on this who still plays football? I quit as a teenager but I'm in the armed forces, I fitness, kickbox etc. In my opinion most injuries in professional football + early career nose dives can be attributed by a lack of professionalism. Or am I missing something here? De Bruine is simply not properly trained and the busy year + wc took its toll. Compare Penaldo vs Van der Vaart both are around the same age yet one has become inept for the 2nd league in some Scandinavian country whilst the other one plays CL knockout games and scores twice outrunning youngsters. Yes you have your out of line fouls and yes you can twist your body the wrong way accidentally. But most shit is just lack of proper conditioning.
American Football has real injuries caused by real contact. But to me every injury in football is fake. These people are all athletes with non athlete bodies. It's the beauty of the sport sure, I just don't get why no one took advantage of this gap yet. Imagine a squad of fully trained Ronaldos.

Ronaldo is incredibly driven and works harder to counteract his ageing
You can't counteract most injuries. You can try to prevent them through conditioning which I guarantee every top club does but injuries such as rolling ankles, torn muscles cant be predicted or stopped. Fittest guy on our team went up for a header and landed funny and never played the same since, shit like that happens
De Bruyne is, by all accounts, a bit of an autistic loner who has nothing going on in his life aside from football. The notion that he has a lack of professionalism or isn't given proper conditioning training by Guardiola's Man City (a manager who's obsessive about fitness and conditioning at a club that pours a ton of money into fitness and conditioning) seems unconvincing to me.
>wins the league with the most expensive team
Wow what a legend.
Not to brag but im sure that in allot of areas (save for speed) I'm equally fit or fitter than Ronaldo. As are allot of fellas in the army, especially operator positions and such. Combat sports equally have develop men who stay 'young' and effective for a long duration. Without constant training a mans body will deteriorate around 25-29.
I'm also not talking about accidents such as landing funny or collisions and such. For example I run an average of 30 miles a week. But that's me being slowly conditioned to complete this task. If a normal person would attempt this (depending on his/her starting physique) they would tear something up within no time, not even finishing. There are people who die from heart attacks after a 10 mile long marathon. If you properly condition your body you will not be injury prone such as Robben or De Bruyne. I don't believe that at all, unless you're some disabled person.
I can already tell he doesn't work out during downtime. Just like one look at Ronaldo tells me he does. Also football isn't that progressed with physical stuff yet compared to other sport branches. Look at that dude Phil Foden, prodigy of their academy, 18 years old. This guy has been in 'training' all his life yet his physique doesn't even match that of mine when I was his age. And I was a undisciplined neglected lanklet who was about to enroll. This tells me he hasn't done any proper muscle build up. Now I'm not saying over train like Depay. That's terrible for the game of football, but I can totally understand why Ronaldo is still on top of his game and reasonably balanced with injuries. Meanwhile im not surprised at all when I hear Robben can't play again. Like I stated above, they are simply not conditioned to withstand x amount of miles that cause these injuries or x amount of contact force. More importantly, they would be functional up and until their mid 30s. Watching a top pro retire at 30 is just painful. RvP is another great example

It's not necessarily a lack of professionalism, could just be a case of being badly advised as to how best to look after their body
> the envy is real my black friend
Indeed, I think it's the culture of football. You are right when you say it like that. Obviously the priority is developing game iq, instincts and skills. The body should play a supporting role to facilitate those areas for as long as possible at a high level. You rarely see it happen though. You also have terrible examples such as Bale when it's done wrong. I'm not entirely sure what his condition is but to me it seems like he's crazy over trained at the gym. He also gained that muscle mass so quick I suspect he took something. Either way he tries to use his physicality to boost his performance at the game instead of supporting it like Ronaldo does. Doing shit Penaldo can't do, but then he's burned out just as quickly. I wish I had more info because that shit fascinates me.

Sure thing Mohammed, keep believing in that fallacy. One day you'll learn after many wasted nights. But by then it'll be to late. You might have returned tonight after a night of clubbing to talk to us lowly Yea Forums posters. But next time will be different! Next time you will get laid!

>American Football has real injuries caused by real contact. But to me every injury in football is fake. These people are all athletes with non athlete bodies.
American Football players occupy a very odd space in professional sports. It's a set-play oriented game with highly specialised, contact-heavy roles divided between offence and defence (and special teams) with unlimited substitutions. The plays are generally very brief as is the amount of in-game action. Most players will be involved in less than 100 minutes of actual play over the course of an entire season. But the physical demands involved in those 100 minutes are pretty horrific. There's a lot of scope for devastating impact injuries and head injuries. The average NFL career spans less than 3.5 years. You can't really compare it to association football, which has an entirely different injury profile for players. Continuous play over prolonged periods with sudden sprints, changes in direction, stretches and falls are liable to produce more muscle injuries. If you're involved in over 3000 minutes of that kind of play per season your chances of picking up a muscle injury is heightened. At the same time, your conditioning has to be entirely different to an NFL player. If you're built like a tank you're going to struggle for stamina and you're going to get gassed after even a brief run of games (in the busy periods of a season you're facing a game every 3/4 days). I don't think there's a flaw in conditioning that no club in this highly competitive sport has so far thought to exploit. The sport will only see players with the kind of physical profile you're imagining if they introduce unlimited subs. At that point stamina becomes less of a priority and explosive physical impact becomes a more prominent conditioning requirement.
I get that but to compare it with my real life experiences. I run 5-6 times a week, alternating between 90% and 75-% and short distance and long distance, keeping it balanced, totaling for about 30 miles. I can make sprints during these runs, I can do footwork, I can incline or decline. I can run on any sort of terrain (soil, sand, low water) and I've not had an injury in years. I had to build it up slowly but I can remember a time where I had shin splints, fractures in my bones, muscle tears, knee problems and so forth. Because I wasn't acclimated to running under these conditions. I know what my legs look like and I relate that to the ability to complete these tasks. So when I see a player like Robben or Foden who does not have that same physicale I just instantly equate that to being 'unaddapted'. Sure some injuries can't be avoided. Hamstring injuries can happen during a tense unpredictable moment. I'm talking about the injuries that happen during a normal sprint/charge, nothing weird going on. To me that's due to an untrained body. It's pretty clear de Bruyne is not used to a season + wc + season and that's why his body is tearing up.
Had he trained for this in his youth he would not be injured right now. That's me belief. Maybe it's a bit messy because im rather tired but I do believe I have a point here.
>just go to the gym lol
Nobody cares about strength in football. You don’t need to have a 3 plate bench. You do need strength but it’s a lot more about explosive speed, balance and agility when playing as a forward.
And you don’t become a football player by going to the gym. It’s thousands of hours of drills and repitition.
Not everything is about physique. Phil foden doesn’t need to go the gym and do kickboxing. He needs to practice his technique day in day out.
You’ve never played competitive football. You have NOT trained as hard as professional footballers. You don’t know what all that repetition does to your joints and muscles.
You don't play the sport so shut the fuck up

Oh lol, so you're one of those lower educated plebs those stupid recruitment drives with their obnoxious commercials are aimed at.
>needs perfect conditions and a 600 million budget to win
Yes
I never really played american football but i think in footballer players move a lot faster which leads to every small touch causing injuries. Also football players are build a lot more fragile to actually move faster in the first place. So i doubt they are "fake" injuries
