asics are the best running shoes dont (You) me

>tfw could run a mile in 5 minutes in high school
>probably cant even run for 5 minutes now
Where does the time go

(You)

I'm gonna run on my old gym shoes I had since I was 17 which is about 4 years ago now.

Going in the early morning to the forest nearby, do you guys usually take your phone with you?
I want to bring mine but my shorts don't have zippers in them so I'm afraid it'll fall out if I don't hold it while running

Used to run for around 5 years, started from 2,5 kms weekly to 2,5 kms every second day. Did few long runs for 10-15 kms.
Then made break for around 3 years. Now wanting to start running again. Did first run couple of weeks ago for 1 km and now lazy again.

Jump rope>running

Running is bad for you

I just have my watch for tracking and keys in a rubber band so they don't jingle. Going without music a few years ago has helped me figure out a good pace and it almost becomes meditative.

Whats your plan and current level?

Just use old sock cutted above the ankle and put your arm in it with tighter end down, phone won't fell out and its quite comfortable

I run about 10km in 50ish minutes now, plan is to keep on doing this every other day until I get to 40 minutes

That's a terrible idea for many reasons. Mostly because you'll very likely injure yourself and also because speed is gained by increasing milage or doing intervals (with sprints). Just adopt a schedule that allows you to do a long distance (endurance) run in the weekend, and intervals + tempo runs on workdays. Also, 40 minutes for 10k is very ambitious, but I wish you luck.

>gym shoes
Hello shin splints!

Sometimes I walk down to the primary school near me and do laps of the oval, alternating running and walking. Always feels like my heart and lungs hit their limit long before my legs even start feeling it so it's not very satisfying and it usually just makes me feel sick.

Today I went for a run down the coast and jumped into the sea at the end. 4 miles in 27 minutes. Unbelievable weather and lots of scantily clad women. A good day.

Rate 4.5 km / 3 mi a day.

that's clever

sligo?

>tfw running in the heat
ngl, pretty much ded now

No greater feeling than forcing your way to 1st place on Strava by reporting every faster time.

I live in south Florida and run 10km 5 times a week. You get used the heat.

Same

Well yeah, but her in swamp land the it's been an exceptional warm day today. Havent had time to acclimatize yet. Of course running in the sun without cloud cover or a hat didnt really help things.
Yeah, but atleast we got out there today.

How did it go OP?

Pretty good. Didn't take my phone but left my watch at my parents place and don't have a cheap one so I couldn't see how fast I was going but I did know I did the two first kilometers in less than 7 minutes for sure. I left my place at around 10am and came back at 11:20 but had to stop multiple times for trains and cars passing

>first glimpses of acceptable sunny weather in the netherlands
>normies head out do get dehydrated drinking wine on terraces

>fat chicks
but why

You need to pace yourself. It's no good to go full throttle in the beginning if you cant sustain it.

Left one isn't so fat

The baggy shirts hides a lot, but look at her thighs. Those are massive.

Thick thighs are nice though. My current gf has thick thighs and legs but a very slim figure with wide hips. It's because of a weird fat distribution in her body that she has no fat at all but in her upper thighs and butt and almost none in her stomach etc.

so pear shaped

Basically but it's in-between the classic hourglass and a pear shape so a bit of both worlds.

I'm ok with it and her weight is alright for her length, like 54kg with a height of 1,61m

>running
Are you unironically a nigger?

Go swimming which is much better for your body and an exercize for all your muscles or grab your bike and go for a ride.

>Grab your bike and go for a ride
I do that every day to uni already

Running is nice to clear your mind and train your endurance, I already lift weights at home when there's football on or when use my audio setup with some nice music

Have sex

Based

running is for niggers. swimming is the thinking mans choice

>Running is nice to clear your mind and train your endurance

>I already lift weights at home when there's football on or when use my audio setup with some nice music

2,2km in 12 minutes is easy as shit though

Do a c25k program. EZ PZ

Post Nadine Visser please Dutch friends.

Do it yourself you lazy

One of the soles just started coming off my shoe. Attempt to repair or just replace it?

>be obese hamplanet
>fall for C25K meme
>along with SS
>also do Keto
>become chubby looking human being who can run a mile in 9 minutes compared to over 15 to jog one in HS
Truly a blessing on me though I’m sure in the future my joints will hate me for my extended time as a whale

After 18 months of misery and injury i've started "running" again, quotations because jogging heavily isn't really running. 2 miles takes me 16-18min (previously around 11min). Interval sprints at the end 6-8x75m or so. Hopefully i can play the sports i love again
