MJ was rusty as fuck when he finally came back. Go look at the stats. MJ wasn't MJ during that year's playoff run. Everyone knows that. That team did not resemble anything close to what previous and later MJ-led teams were.
As much as I like Hakeem, there's a reason no one cares about those years. Jordan wasn't there and when he did finally return, he was still too rusty on a team that was all sorts of fucked up without him. No comparison.
