>thinking anyone would think this is cool
Silence boomer
the left one is a right triangle, i can't really read the numbers on the other one
by my calculations this dab is more perfect then pogbas dab
this webm is upsetting my cats. please delet
>thinking kids wouldn't think this is cool
Shut up 20-25 year old
This is from a math book in Singapore btw
>Dabs on math, the white man's sport
Apparently this was the 3rd question
>"You should be able to solve this"
>can't
If you integrate that you get zero
*walks up to the front of the class and solves the equation*
*dabs*
*has sex with all the hot girls in the class because of how based i am*
Pythagoras: finally! all that work was worth it!
based
also pretty effin' based
i'm guessing that's a female because it's wearing a shirt
It’s integral calculus, it’s okay
It's not. You can solve it intuitively without knowing anything about anything. The areas are clearly equal, one is negative the other is positive. Result is obviously 0.
>lost all the documents in a car crash
ashamed to admit i kek'd
Shouldn't be Ronaldo checking the dab, should be Lingaard or some similar zoomer player
72^2 + 54^2 = 114 != 88 = 90^2
cristiano penaldo the fucking shitter!!
argentina is right
It's intuitive to someone that has taken calculus classes lad
"Negative area" is a mathematical concept that does not translate into the real world
holy cringe
>It's intuitive to someone that has taken calculus classes lad
So any adult in a decent country that finished highschool?
>decent country
>tf
>tp
People that aren't from North America or Western Europe shouldn't criticise other countries.
>uncle
>blessings
does he want to marry his cousin?
United States isn't in North America? Okay then
Calculus isn't mandatory in american high schools. It's optional, same in Canada
Everyone doesn't go to high school in all countries, everyone doesn't take calculus of that level in high school in all countries and since we're on a site optimal for NEETs, everyone here hasn't necessarily even gone to any school at all after middle school.
Hard to believe that it's mandatory here but not in USA or Finland.
(X) Doubt
Nah man it's just intuitive, should be even more intuitive for someone who presumably went to school in a 1st world country, I can understand someone from our shithole not solving this but a guy in america should really be able to.
Wait do people who are not interested in stem also study calculus in Argentina high schools?
as long as you have a basic level of spatial reasoning, you should be fine with the graph alone
Kinda suprising it's mandatory in Argentina, it used to e mandatory here a really long time ago but now they don't even teach limits anymore.
First-world countries' schools usually let people choose their areas of study in high school, but that doesn't apply everywhere. Certainly doesn't apply in Brazil, where most schools teach a bunch of general shit. It's likely the same in Argentina. And Japan, for that matter.
It's not anywhere in South America either, you only start studying it in college if your course's class plan includes it
They don't finish it, or finish by begging to get a pass in "extraordinary instances".
You don't even have to go to high school here, maybe a little under half the people go to vocational school. And if you go to high school you don't have to choose 'advanced' math if that's not your strong suit, you can focus on other things.
It IS mandatory here, isn't it? Or has Novo Ensino Médio gone into effect already?
High school maths teaches calculus.
>It IS mandatory here, isn't it?
I graduated from high school in 2011 and my first contact with calculus was in college
Honestly american system is too free and easy. They should require atleast you qshould know calculus and calculus based physics before going to university for a stem major so you don't waste your first year taking high school tier classes
How old are you bud?
>if only you knew how bad things are
I'm 20, graduated in 2016. But we did learn some basic calculus on our third year. I did go to private school, mind.
calculus is theoretically mandatory in all of latin america actually, it's just that most teachers ignore the official programs, and governments don't bother to check
if you go to a school that adheres to the official program, you will be taught calculus
In my school it was in the program but we never got to actually study it.
Also I got buttfucked in my first year of uni because we never were taught how to prove stuff, just were told to remember shit.
Oh right nevermind, we do study introductory calculus in highschool
I doubt 1% of the people who finished highschool and don't have nor are trying to get a stem bachelor knows that's calculus though
Agree with you bro. I learned calculus in highschool but only because I kept annoying my teacher asking a bunch of random shit about math after class so she gave me a calculus book and started teaching it to me.
Well I'm a 17yr old zoomer and I graduated 2017, and the last year of highschool was the worst because all they did was prepare us for ENEM. I also went to private school btw
Most high schools in america have calculus at least in my north eastern state. Here is how the system works, the classes you take depend on how good you are and how good you did in middle school
I think it depends on where you live
Schools here in MG didnt have calculus because UFMG never had it in their "vestibular"
I remember some kids that were studying for ITA that had to learn on their own
Brazilians here are rich. Really makes you think
In Latin America, any middle class family that is mildly forward-thinking will send their kids to private schools. Public schools are abysmal in quality.
>all they did was prepare us for ENEM
Tell me you didn't actually take ENEM. I mean, I did in 2016 and I felt like an idiot for it. Entrance exams for public universities are easier and you get to attend better schools through them. ENEM is pointless.
>Public schools are abysmal in quality
There are some technical schools here that are good, but other than that you're right. They're complete shit.
When I took USP's entrance exam, it had a lot of calculus. Completely fucked me over and I failed.
I unironically did just because I took it once in junior year and so I knew i wouldn't have to study for it and still could get into a """""""""""good""""""" university, I really wanted to take the ITA exam but they don't have it in my state.
One teacher of mine also "taught" at a public school, he said all he did was write down who came to class then let the guys smoke weed and chat.
Man, if you have a goddamned Fatec in your state, it's still a better use of your time than attending any of the schools you could get into with ENEM. Private universities here are SHIT. >taking it twice
lmao
Also, studying for it is pointless anyway, because they overload you with so many repetitive questions your brain'll be fried before long. It's the most stupidly tiresome exam I've ever seen.
kek. What subject did he teach?
Fuck niggers desu senpai
So what are we calculating here, the average or the RMS power? If the latter it is the peak value divided by sqrt(2)
I go to a public university though.
>kek. What subject did he teach?
Chemistry. Also our physics teacher got sued because he """molested""" (they sucked his cock for better grades)a couple of girls in the school. I think he was pretty based desu.
You need to integrate the squares of the values. so the result is the square root of the arithmetic mean
Not everywhere is like SP, here in MG all we have to get into ALL public universities (including UFMG) is ENEM and good luck getting a scholarship in one of the couple of decente private unis BH has to offer
>I go to a public university though.
Fair enough, but then taking ENEM was completely pointless for you. At least you can pontificate on how shit it is, like I'm doing, I suppose.
>Chemistry
He fucked a lot of people who were thinking of taking university entrance exams, then. Though if it was a public high school, 99% of them didn't care anyway.
>our physics teacher got sued because he """molested""" (they sucked his cock for better grades)a couple of girls in the school. I think he was pretty based desu
Our maths teacher -- private school -- did the same. Still does, from what I hear. He was a bit more fucked up, though, because he felt up girls during classes and supposedly coerced a lot of them. But then, the entire school knew about it and he still didn't get in trouble, so I can't imagine he ever got violent or anything.
Fucking hell. Kinda adds to my theory that São Paulo is the only half-decent state in this country (and it's still shit).
>rigorous
But calculus is not rigorous at all, in the true meaning of 'rigorous math'.
Good God, America's educational system is needlessly complicated
A lot of people here don't see ENEM as a problem if they don't care about lowering their standards from UFMG
UFLA, UFJF, UFV and UFU aren't exactly hard to get in if you're not after Medicine and they're still decent
He can't keep getting away with it user
My problem with ENEM is that it's a needlessly long and convoluted exam that, in São Paulo at least, didn't even get you into the best schools available. It's kinda fucked up that it's apparently the only route into public universities over there in Minas, when individual universities' exams are more objective and concise. I don't doubt that those schools are decent, though.
Almost every student knew about it and I'm pretty sure the faculty did too. I mean, how couldn't they? Baiano safado whill keep getting away with it for as long as he wants.
I think in a lot of states, including mine, it's the only way to get in the "good" schools. I agree with you that it's a fucking dumb, needlessly long exam though
>Go bay my cum taken to a whole new level
Yeah I took Unicamp's two years ago and it was a much better experience, even if I didn't pass. ENEM is extremely tiresome, specially until 2016 (two tests on the same weekend, essay and math on the same day)
Calculus is 100% optional is public schools here. In Maryland, you're only required to pass algebra 1 and 2 and geometry. Anything after that is usually just for college prep.
Students get to choose what subjects they study in the US, don't they? it used to be like that here, then it wasn't any more and now they're planning on bringing that back again (which I'm sure won't make our education get even worse or anything of the sort).
I think part of the reason is kids with different goals and abilities go through the same high school system as opposed to countries like germany where they split early. So there is no such thing as your 'class'. There were more than a hundred students in the same grade as mine and I barely knew most of them since we all had different tracks and went to different classes. It is basically like college but early on.
It is not that complicated once you understand it, it is just a totally different approach.
Yes, not every class but you choose a 'track' and try to stick to it:
A
B B
>skin color
Signs point to yes
We got taught Riemann integration as an intro, followed by a crash course in analysis leading to Lebesgue integration in Australia. We did our proofs assuming the Axiom of Choice though.
our educational system has gone to complete shit in the past 20 years because we had to adjust it to accommodate the children of illiterate mexican and central american peasants. we get literally the dumbest and most worthless people from the rest of the continent and subsidize them shitting out more retarded 150 cm brown goblin spawn
>Lebesgue integration
are you serious. then it was some pretty advanced placement. It is usually taught in college as part of Real analysis and measure theory.
Can somebody intelligent make more meme math problems that I can giggle like a retard at?
Lel I did an analysis unit in second year at uni and it didn't even cover lebesgue integration.
Im sure a bunch of kids enjoyed it. Good on em dont be such a fucking curmudgeon op
Singaporean Education system > rest of the world
Why does a 10 year old child has tattoos and is a cage warrior?
AHAHAHAHAH OLES AT THE WHEEL
Integrate the y function from 0 to x, we are looking for area.
I've gone to high school in Finland and the US and I can say that not requiring people to attend high school is the strongest thing Finland has going for it.
US high school (mandatory) is like Finnish middle school. Students fighting teachers, skipping class, fucking around. In Finland high school isn't mandatory so since the 80 iq mouth breathers who want to become forklift drivers when they grow up aren't there the education can actually be aimed at people who want to learn. It's a lot more like university in the sense that you design your own schedule and no one's going to call your parents if you're tardy or missing because it's voluntary so it's your choice to fail.
It's the same in Sweden. High school is a lot calmer since you nostly have people who want to be there.
Lmao at all the brainlets struggling at a basic calculus problem. They literally teach this stuff at primary schools in Africa now
whether someone learns it, that's another matter
Well I guess my joke flew over most poster's heads itt. It is a common problem in electrical engineering to calculate 'mean square power' of AC. Obviously if you calculate the integral/area you will get 0. But it contradicts common sense since AC produces power on both positive and negative cycles just like a player would by running back and forth. So the approach is to calculate the "effective power" as RMS (root mean square) by integrating the square of sin. Or if it was a discrete function, it is a square root of the sums of squares of every point divided by the number of points. And for sine it is a well known value which is Peak amplitude divided by sqrt(2) (or multiplied by .707). For example the voltage in the US mains is 120V RMS but the peak value is +170V and -170V. So the effective power of Dogba is not zero.
Doubting whether I should take it or just try for UFPR
If you can avoid ENEM, avoid it.
fuckin nerds get out or I'll kick your ass
the joke is that the area under the curve sums to 0
Reminder that regular Canadian Highschool Calculus does not cover Integration.
the Pogbaborean theorem
>The Pogba Scale. Used to mesure the quality of a "dab" (see art. p. 154) during an attempt at celebrating an event by practicing a traditional Bantu mating gesture. Named after dab pioneer Paul Labile Pogba (b. 1973).
Why didn't you help her
Based bully
Well in us high schools there are honor and ap classes where all students are serious
>The data WERE lost forever
>it is mandatory here
mano metade da minha sala do ensino medio n sabia calcular area de circulo, calculo mandatorio kkkkk
In the U.S., schools teach us to be gay and hate white people. Homework isn't mandatory.
BTW my dad just died, please no bulli.
>telling people what bisexual means is " teach us to be gay and hate white people"
k
kek
You don't get taught to be gay retard, and wanting schools not to teach children about things they will experience in the real world because it hurts your feelings is fucking retarded.
You're both right but please go back to r*ddit. 4channel is meant for people to be edgy and contrarian.
