To be fair, Man City have a solid core of ~25k fans who have been there long before the financial doping. They need to play crowd noise through the speakers at the CoM Stadium simply because the new breed are all quiet tourists who are pushing the real fans out of the club.

The hate is because they were absolutely dog shite and now they're dominating. They are the most vivid illustration of how money has changed football that there has ever been. People say United bought the league in the nineties, and to some extent it's true, they did, but they did it gradually, with a GOAT manager and they used TV money (which everyone get) and the stock market (which anyone can do) to get their cash. Even Chelsea weren't as bad in the mid 2000's as they had managed to get into the CL that season without the money and had some great players throughout the nineties and early 2000's.
City are fucking tinpot. They're unironically Sunderland tier, if not worse, and if Mansour ever gets bored they will immediately crumble back into complete obscurity.
