are non-Ajax dutchies happy that a dutch team is making a good impression?

We are all happy for the national team and whatever team plays in the Champions League.

Has Eredivise surpassed Bundes?

Generally yes. Only some fanatical supporters are seething. Relations in the eredivisie are generally amicable, even with derby's.

actually yes... we need that damn direct CL qualification for the winner of eredivisie

absolutely

Only Ajax and PSV are good. The rest are mediocre or shit.

Just build that goddamned stadium already

WATCH the jupiler pro league :)

First time I actually cheered for ajax yesterday. They have such a likeable team and I hope they get to the final.
Downside is their fans will get even more annoying. But I can just ignore them.

I'll watch when you guys have a normal competition without playoffs.

Eredivise, Bundesliga and Prem > La Liga, Serie A and Ligue Un

>watching the most batshit insane competition format
No thanks

Allot of positivity but there's always a nutcase here and there who apparently hates football saying weird shit whenever Ajax advance. Which I would understand if your rival club was winning with crappy Mouyo football.

> PSV

PSV is better than the rest but very much inferior to Ajax. And in their current form they will join the rest. Delusion will be the downfall, realism will lift them up. This will determine if PSV reaches a semi final in the coming 10 seasons of CL. There's no reason this can't be the case if people quit the wishful thinking and delusion. Leave that to the Britts.

PSV can still win the league. Ajax has plenty of oppertunities to fuck it all up.

So winning the league based on the mistakes of the top team is a viable long term strategy you'd say? Ask Dortmund how that's working out for them. PSV is playing like dog shit. Great if they win the league, what will happen when Ajax improves even more and PSV falls behind because it can only score through headers and flops? Feyenoord won the league a few years back with a shit team due to this crutch. Look at them now.

Ajax will be gutted next year. PSV will have plenty of chances to compete again. They'll be the number one competitor. Dont forget PSV was in the lead for most of this season.

Why does everything coming from PSV and Feyenoord always sound like desperate rationalization? Can't you see the facts? I'm not even saying this to diss on you guys, you need to accept harsh truths to improve. Ajax will be partially gutted 5/6, but they will have more funs than they ever had before. Imagine Depay or someone like that joining, but 3 of these players. They might not be semi finalists in the CL that year. But they are looking to consistently compete internationally and regain form domestically. PSV has fuck all, the front three is not that good. Bergwijn has the highest potential, but that's just one player. Dumfries can be nice. The rest are all inferior to Ajax, especially the midfield. If PSV doesn't up it's academy and international scouting and money management they will become irreverent for the next decade. Maybe winning 1-2 titles vs Ajax winning 8-9. Don't fool yourself here. PSV was only leading this year because Ajax still needed to find their groove at first, drawing vs Heracles and losing to PSV away (with injuries and a crappy plan). PSV also had allot more steam and the competition sucked balls (not the case anymore). Which resulted in PSV winning all other games basically up and until Cheatnoord.

Can you imagine a league with PSV and Feyenoord both playing like Ajax? Having the same talents as Ajax? Comparable budgets? Imagine the Eredivisie with such high level of play. Midweek international matches. National team dominance and so forth. Nothing is stopping these guys from doing the same. Nothing but this ignorant way of thinking "oh they'll slip". You can't compete like that in life.

Mate, Im an Ajax supporter. Groningen away and de Graafschap away are typical 'Dude, lets throw away the title LMAO' games. Do you not remember your history? PSV is always manages to have a solid team.

Yes

Anything to cleanse my palate after watching the Portuguese league. What a shit league

That's different. Ajax was terrible and equally delusional in the past. Imo de Boer ham-stringed them in their growth despite winning 4 titles. I can totally see it happening again. But I can't ignore the improvement. Transfer funds, recent success and experience, good coaches (Bosz and Ten Hag) There's a vision there of controlled attacking high energy football. PSV's vision is more about fighting, long balls, kickball and stamina. That's great but do these types of teams win allot in modern football? Do teams with tiny budgets? Up and until now PSV has been close to Ajax regarding the flow of money. That has changed this year and it will change even more in the next. 90 mil in CL money, 200+ mil in transfer money. Not to mention the marketing and investment opportunities. Feyenoord ignored all these trends for to long and look at them. They've become a joke.

PSV had solid teams vs the old Ajax, the one I criticized often. Ajax is changing (or atleast they have been given the opportunity to change). Maybe, maybe if leadership is stupid they revert back to their bottlejob greedy form. But I doubt it.

The amount of money they're gonna get is literally insane for eredivisie standards. Unless they'll be managing it extremely badly, it will allow them to dominate the league for years, even if they don't find perfect replacements right away, and the gap between their budget and that of the rest of the eredivisie will only get bigger

What's the point of all the money if you cant attract (or retain for that matter) good players. Like Cruijff said, 'ive never seen a bag of money score a goal'. The eredivisie is just not a very attractive league. Look at PSG, you might have all the money in the world, but your prospective signings will have zero interest to play in a a farmer league. I just dont see any real structural change happening without PSV, Feyenoord and some of the suptop stepping the fuck up.

If you pay enough players will want to come play for you, especially if you do well in Europe. Ajax never used to be able to attract players like Blind and Tadic but they were able to last summer because of their previous achievements and the raising of the salary cap. This season they do even better in Europe and will have more money to spend as well.

Ligue 1 is a decent example as it is basically a non-league, yet PSG is still able to attract big players despite finishing like 30 points clear every season.

This. Imagine Depay getting bought for their front 3, Dolberg gets his 2nd shot, maybe Neres or Tadic stay. Then all they need is a world class midfield play maker and manmountain CB. Even if they aren't De Jong and De Ligt potential, they'll be enough to win game after game in the Eredivisie and make deep runs into the CL. Increase investments in their Academy and world class scouting. Bam you got Ajax 2.0. At worst you win the league 10 times in a row.

Partially true, but League 1 has no international history vs Eredivisie. Also they might not attract world class players (yet) but they will be able to get Southhampton level peeps. What do you think all these mid table player prefer? To play football for fuck all or to shine in the CL in order to get noticed? Imagine if Lukaku played at Ajax instead of shitty Everton. Eventually they will make the move but not before Ajax turned a profit, solidifying their position even more. These players had no reason to play for Ajax before because 1. they couldn't pay them and 2. Ajax was considered an instant group stage exit in the CL. Getting noticed was hard. But now I bet you all the mid table players in La Liga and PL are considering this. And from there you can see. Maybe the Eredivisie competition responds (PSV and Feyenoord like I said above). If the league improves closer to La Liga/Bundesliga levels I see no issues. These two leagues aren't that high level either, just not shite.

Of course

Do the Dutch rate Luuk de Jong? He never seems to get mentioned when talking about Dutch talent.

Eh, he scores. But he's not really a crowdpleaser.

Pretty good Eredivisie striker, not good enough for anywhere else really. Mid-table Bundesliga, low-end Premiership or top Championship. That kinda level. His bro was much better but had too many injury problems after an exploding lung

Blind is a really terrible example tough because he's a >kind van de club.

THOUGHT PROVOKING QUESTION: Are Mexicans welcomed to watch the Eredivisie?

Of course. But only if you help me cook some good mexican food.

Kankerfeyenoord

Said no one ever

Still had to break the transfer record and pay him a 3M+/year bonusses not included salary

Pretty sure you could get a comparable player for that kinda money

No me and the lads hope they win it all

Man that shit is delicious

I don't support a team which wins prizes but I'd be a bit wary if I was an ajax supporter. Yes you're having an amazing season, but you still could very well end up with 0 titles. Especially since 2014 is the last time you actually won something.
