over kobrick and lebum

Honestly like 20th or some shit

We as fans want an exciting story to captivate us and take us for a ride

Magic did that
Mj did that
Kobe did that

Duncan was just boring and unrelateble. Where was the adversity? How many Duncan jerseys did you see in his prime?

this dude gets it

ESPN-tier take, stop posting.

top 12% of the population

this is the most zoomer post i've ever read on Yea Forums

Top 10 on every list imaginable, the best PF of all time

this is one of the situations where I think, unfortunately, you can separate the star from the team's accomplishments. somewhat at least.

duncan, ginobli, and parker are all gone, and the spurs are still making the playoffs and having real success. the spurs are just built different.

Higher than Lebron

0 rings before Duncan
0 rings after

Best at his position of all time. Humble and respected by everyone. Essentially the Derek Jeter of the NBA.

He was a center.

What success? It's been three years since Duncan retired and Spurs were never even close to sniff a championship since then.

Focusing on superficial flash and thrills is woman-tier thinking, my guy. It's the same reasoning they use when they choose dangerous Chads despite knowing they'll end up beaten and abused. Completely illogical.

number 1 easy

They could have done something with an healthy Kawhi in 2017 tho

david robinson was better than him, if you disagree you know nothing

only won those two championships thanks to Duncan, Robinson even knows that

t. Stephen Gay Smith

5 games instead of 4 against GSW. Nobody was going to beat that Warriors team.

top 5
if I had to start a franchise and could take any player at the beginning of their career it would be duncan, without a doubt

>only won those two championships thanks to Duncan
in the post-mj era. if prime admiral played in the 00s, things would be different.

This is too stupid to be bait. Get the fuck out of Yea Forums

the ultimate teammate tbqh. he just made everyone around him better

Above kobrick mentality

>MJ
>Bron
>Kareem
>Magic
>Bird
>Curry
>Kobe
>Simmons
>Kobe
>Shaq
All better than him off the top of my head

>Simmons
Go back faggot

Name one thing Tim Duncan did that Ben Simmons couldn't

Shoot.

Win rings and play the paint

show up in the playoffs

He played in his prime at PF, although you could make a case his defensive skills were more of a C. But he's officially listed as a PF.

youtube.com/watch?v=trdsKp94Io0

so david robinson played as a forward?

they were in the WCF not long ago dude

Take this to Yea Forums this is Yea Forums

The GOAT

"healthy"

Is this the best troll post ever or are you seriously that fucking delusional

Simmons is horrible and will be playing in the G League in two seasons time

Top 5 all time

Duncan>Kobe don't (you) me

>you will never see dirk vs duncan ever again
fuck

I'd argue that in a league surrounded by charismatic and expressive individuals, a great player that is level-headed, quiet and relatively soft-spoken is also able to stand out just because he's such a hard contrast to those around him. We see that happen with Kawh Leonard in this era, and if you want an example from another sport look at greats like Messi.

TIMMYYYYYY WHATS UP MAN

HOLY FUCK what a god

Ive given up ranking players. Too many variables. But top teir

score more than one point in a playoff game

Jordan
Pete
Bird
Kareem
Hakeem
Kobe
Timmy

2nd all-time.

as a power forward? no1 all time, not the greatest scoring power forward ever (Kevin McKale or Charles Barkley might have a word to say about that, and Dirk isn't too bad himself), but when you add in his defense offensive efficiency and playmaking and no one comes close.

furthermore going 5-1 in NBA championships including crushing all time greats like LBJ, Dirk and Kobe routinely. When making an all time NBA team, he easily takes the PF position in the easiest position to fill on the squad.

he was a PF, the spurs always had a center of the court with him, and while he would switch off onto centers on the defensive side of the ball often, he was clearly a PF, doing most of his damage from the elbow.

>kobe twice

Russel
MJ
Bron
Magic
Kobe
Bird
Duncan
Kareem
Wilt
West
Big O
Shaq
Iverson

The true official GOAT list

>MJ
>Russel
>Kareem
>Magic
>Bird
>Wilt
>Duncan
>Olajuwon
>Robinson
>West
>Shaq
>Kobe
>Wade
>BronBron

Actually a shit ton of em.

t. from Texas.

>5 rings in 3 different decades
>3 finals MVP's

Top 5. If you rate him lower than top 10 something's wrong with you.

>the easiest position to fill on the squad.
Not really, you could argue Garnett over him. Who could you argue over Jordan at SG? Jerry West, Wade, George Gervin or Kobe? Kek

This smells of bait, but Imma bite anyhow. Robinson and Duncan were at their best playing off each other. The twin towers thing was no joke. Robinson was, in his prime, maybe a little better offensively than Duncan. So was Abdul-Jabbar. (Yes, I watched Kareem on the television many times. 80s Lakers/Celtics rivalry is the best NBA rivalry ever.) Neither of them could stack up with Duncan defensively, and neither did as much to make their teammates better.

>We as fans want an exciting story to captivate us and take us for a ride
Speak for yourself, cuck. You obviously care more for the spectacle than the actual sport.

>Duncan was just boring and unrelateble
fuck off, duncan was max comfy
youtube.com/watch?v=I-Q7i1gz9ks

>Kobr
I would take Duncan over Kobe. He's the best player of that era. He didn't need to do anything flashy, and still shat on people. Look at how he would make KG seethe by just smiling at his antics. I'm from New York and take "boring-ass" Duncan over damn near any player in history. He's unquestionably top-10.

Shoot. Win Rings. Be Clutch

Garnett over Duncan? Nah. They didn't meet on the court until Duncan was old and couldn't jump over a pencil and Duncan still owned Garnett.

Getting swept is not sniffing a title.

Over 55% of his minutes at center

That's a center, not a PF

yea, after his prime

How can you even differentiate one position from the other? Let alone count the minutes that he played on each.
I guess Centers just post up more
