no way people play baseball in germany. i lived there for 11 years and I literally never saw anyone playing or any newspaper/TV show talking about it.
There is the WBC every 4 years now, and we have exhibition games v Japanese baseball teaks every so often. Beyond that there is the issue of the MLB (and to a lesser degree NPB) having a monopoly on quality baseball, and having no intention of yielding that.
