Under NBA rules, FIBA teams are always oblitarated. Still, as you said speed and physicality matter less than the capacity to control your pace, to accelerate, decelerate, cross over and control your dribble, as Doncic is showing it. However once you loose this control you're just annihilated, that's how a US B/C team destroyed every other teams by 35+ pts in the 2014 WC: their opponents were able to control the pace for 20/25 minutes, then as the game was wearing them down, the US team unleashed the fire.
