>GKR mention Matz has the longest streak of no-decisions in Mets history I was skeptical until I remembered how many 1-0 and 2-1 losses deGrom had last year.

Poor Steve.
Mason Reed
welp, too bad we couldn't have scored the necessary 6-8 runs to ensure our win before the bullpen came out
He's 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA on the season. What's eating you? If you're still steamed about '15, that was (in order) one bad pitch, mostly the defense's fault, and an inherited runner scoring on two groundouts.
Hunter Hall
And naturally...

my shit, just fuck it up family

I leave >Mets take a two run lead >I get back Mets blow it
Just for fun, I ran the numbers for last year. In 40 games, Familia gave up 13 runs on 8 occasions, going 4-4 with 17 saves (4 blown) and a 2.88 ERA, the vast majority of the damage coming from a horrific 4 runs, no outs appearance against Pittsburgh. I don't deny he's got a prospensity for provoking heart attacks but he's nowhere near as trash as you and other fans seem to believe. Obviously he's chosen this game to shit the bed (aside from that two-base passed ball, that's squarely on Ramos) but that doesn't negate my point.
Dominic Ramirez
The more things change the more they stay the same.
i love you guys that like to crunch the numbers that show a totally different story. the reality is what you're seeing right now. familia comes in, blows the lead, and someone comes in to take over while they get the runs tacked on them instead of him. familia is never held responsible for all the shit he does, he gets pulled off the mound and it ends up being somebody else's fault. he's fucking awful. ALONZO!!!!!!

>2015 and 16 didn't happen and I'll pretend that Familia had nothing to do with it if I acknowledge it

Time to lay off the spiked chocolate sauce, Dylan from Alexandria.

>goalpost changing and deleting stats to play the shoulda coulda woulda game.
interesting way your mind works. are you one of these mets fans who think that just because they're wearing the jersey, no one on the team can do any wrong? cause that's what it sounds like. but again, this is a perfect example of the team coming back to undo all the damage that familia alone caused.
Adam Powell
You're one of those people who blame Beltran for 2006, aren't you.
Yes, and this is the first time this year he's blown a lead. I don't say he can do no wrong. I'm saying that saying he can do no right is equally delusional.
Dominic Rodriguez
METS WIN
This was great, especially being at Citi
Also, sign Kimbrel and Kuechel already. This bullpen is garbage.
Wyatt Campbell
So tomorrow's their last game before they set their minds to the Crapitals yet again?
ok that's fair. but once you see him do this same exact thing game after game, you might change your opinion on him.
either way gg guys, see you tomorrow!

For the record, because I like being thorough: >2017 14 runs (12 earned) in 7 out of 26 appearances, 2-2 with 6/7 saves (1 loss in same game as blown save) >2016 25 runs (22 earned) in 16 out of 78 appearances, 3-4 with 51/56 saves (3 games with both blown save and loss), plus the loss in the Wild Card Game >2015 16 runs (all earned) in 11 out of 76 appearances, 2-2 with 43/48 saves (1 game where he both blew the lead and lost, that of course being the infamous nadir against San Diego). In the first two postseason rounds, perfect aside from 2 hits and 2 walks in 8 games (6 saves). In the WS, 1 bad pitch in Game 1 to blow a 1-run lead; perfect appearance in Game 3 (non-save situation); allows 2 inherited runners+1 to score after Murphy botches grounder in Game 4, charged with blown save and unearned run; faces 6 batters in Game 5 and gets all of them out, but the first 2 move up and score an inherited runner from second aided by Duda's "throw" to tie the game and earn him the final blown save.
