This 2006 E90 was a write off - the slam panel wasn't touched so it probably only needed a front bumper, bumper brackets, airbags, seat belt tensioners and a guard - 3K in parts and it's a gonner.

Yea that's the thing, it's nice, but new bits are fucking expensive from BMW, and that's if they're available and not on back-order at the factory. Second hand bits can be made good if they're decent to start with, but then you've got to panel beat the roof and A-C pillars, and let's face it, of cars that era it's cheaper to fill and skim rather than pull the dents out.

Of course, as much as I detest things, you cannot blame them for making a fast car within the rules. So the next logical step is to blame the rules, like how the 2 door rules compare to the 4 door. Which as soon as I saw it would never be balanceable properly.
There's a lot of things they let them do with the homologation that they shouldn't have though . Like the fucking huge endplates, and how low the nose dips down (one of the reason the car looks so out of proportion, and it's exploiting a loophole, not forced by them like the roofline).

He said that few years ago (supposedly 200X-2011+? i think) red bull was distributing four days a week everyday an insider paddock magazine. Colorful, extremely well done, very high quality with exclusive interesting interviews. They brought 2 trucks to every race specially for this. It wasn't available to quests, even luxurious VIP guests. Only drivers, team members, mechanics, people working in the paddock, journalists etc could BUY it. Around couple thousands people total. On each grand prix.

If Ferrari fails this year aswell they'll remove Vettel after Arrivabene took the blame in 2018 and they won't settle for anyone less than him therefore they'll either go to Hamilton or possibly Verstappen. 2012 williams was much quicker than shown by mighty maldonado&senna duo. maldonado was already beaten by bottas in his rookie season and then trashed by grosjean in competetive and reliable 2015 lotus. and the less said about senna, the better. hopefully at least some people at williams can agree they've made massive mistake releasing rubens and replacing him with brazilian reals from that utterly mediocre name of a driver. it's not a coincidence maldonado put 2012 car in top3 on the grid 4 times, so you can only imagine what faster, more consistent and more reliable driver would have done with it.
and i don't think there was any foul play in action that day. when you see how incompetent this team is (driving almost full 2013 season with exhaust slowing down the car, mixing up tyres for bottas at 2015 spa, this season's comedy horror), i doubt it was anything else than another massive mistake
