Bump

If city bought him back for that much, yeah. But pogba cucked Man U so much that they let him go for free, then bought him back for a world record.

Indeed, but it's more the fact a player goes to a country for peanuts and then is signed for a huge sum by Man United. United spent a huge sum on Fred last window and they already want him gone.

Last post I guess before I go to bed. Karamoko Dembele; is he worth England trying to get him to play for them instead of Scotland? Dude played for Scotland U20 at 13 (he was so short, it was a stupid idea) but has played for both Scotland and England in Youth games. Everybody says he could be a quality player, but is it worth risking? He's 16. Southgate could cement him as an England player by playing him against some minnows... but that'd have to be at a later date and I suspect Scotland will attempt to call him up as well (since they're awful) and got nothing to lose risking a 'wonderkid'.

>“When it comes down to it, they’ve got to start winning trophies and bringing in more players, world class players.”

Didn't Poch say something about being judged on trophies and how he shouldn't be expected to win them?

Attached: arata_yokoyama 4.png (799x1024, 1.42M)

Well early every season, Poch says something along the lines of the FA Cup and League Cup being beneath them so they won't focus on them very much so his outlook on silverware is very confusing.

Always baffling people going 'Well the FA Cup is a Mickey Mouse Cup' and then not even winning that Mickey Mouse Cup. It makes no sense. I don't think Spurs players and fans would say no to a fucking Community Shield. It's a bit hilarious. But thanks. I knew he said something retarded.

Attached: arata_yokoyama 5.jpg (850x1319, 126K)

I just want the league lad. But when you're playing the cup that night ofc you want to win but in the long run it's the league and CL that counts.
Besides comments like
>“In order to bring new players in as well, if you want the best players in the world you’ve got to play in that competitions.
>“When it comes down to it, they’ve got to start winning trophies and bringing in more players, world class players.”
are just standard answers for the media that doesn't mean much. It's a damned if you damned don't sitautaion.

Fuck this club. We need to start an eternal thread so we can bitch about how good we used to be already.

Except the Arsenal Eternal was made because people were fed up with the amount of Arsenal posters in threads like these. So they went to their own thread. At which point people like Fitizen and Sosa, who both hate Arsenal, go and camp and keep it relevant. If it wasn't for shitposters and falseflaggers, that thread would die.

Except if you win sweet fuck all then you're not really in a position to talk. The idea of arbitrarily stating which trophies do or not do not 'count' is a way of tearing down other peoples successes to make your failures look less awful. It's not just Poch who has done this, Klopp has too. This idea of not needing to win trophies as a football manager is confusing as well as hilarious. That's your job. You're there to win football games for the entertainment of others; who pay for this entertainment. If you don't win matches, you don't win trophies and if you don't win trophies then the paying customer starts to feel a bit annoyed that you're charging them for the privilege of watching their chosen team win nothing. It becomes offensive when said person in charge who is suppose to be winning these matches goes 'Well, like, you know, that's just your opinion maaaaan. We don't need to win no trophies, dawwwwwg'. It hurts even more when said club is able to compete at the top but is unable (or unwilling) to even try and win trophies of any kind.

Without knowing their bonus situation, we won't know. For example, Alexis 'Where's the cheque, boss?' Sanchez earns £392k per week. BOSS

Attached: fs881.jpg (641x454, 36K)

Well if they get rid of Sanchez, then they don't have to match it :^) Honestly, if I was United, I'd sell Pogba to Madrid for £150m or whatever, sell Sanchez for £20m or something or hell offer him for free due to his wages, get rid of some other of their 'deadwood' and not buy superstar names but players who are borderline quality and will be snapped up eventually by big clubs. Because big names don't mean big performances. Look at Aguero, he was doing it for Atletico Madrid but wasn't a super mega star, snapped up and is now fighting to get to No.1 EPL scorer of all time. The alternative is, obviously, to buy players and not immediately discard them if they're not performing great. As it is, United fans won't allow unknowns to be bought. If £500m isn't spent then OLE OUUUUUUT.

Been total shite mate, can’t close his fucking legs

What happened tho? He was pretty solid for Chelsea and I can't imagine the Real job being any tougher really. Sure, the club been in a crisis, but still.
Is he a mental midget?

atletico and chelsea defenses are much better suited to his skills than reals.
He shines when he gets to pick balls from the air a lot

>>Le sign a whole new squad every time a new manager comes in team
How is this not a case for every team?

Hard for me to accept that. A solid goalie can look solid no matter the composition of the defences in front of him. Just a big surprise to me how hard he fell. And as big of a surprise to see Zizou so ruthless about it. Teams usually don't offload goalkeeper after a few bad games, yet here they are. It's like Karius 2.0 lmao (is that guy even playing footy anymore?).

Overhyped and overrated for years and years mate. He’s always been an average gk that just happens to stand out because of his height.

Attached: E8AB2E23-AA57-49E4-A290-F0CD49FB4EA8.jpg (590x350, 39K)

>Hard for me to accept that. A solid goalie can look solid no matter the composition of the defences in front of him.
Why would gks be any different than other positions? Take Terry for example. He was utter shiet when AvB made him play a high defense line but he's good when he gets to play lower.
With that said I think Courtois always been a bit overrated.

Maybe so. I never really followed Chelsea.

Goalkeeping is substantially different to any outfield position, my man. Good reflexes and positioning is basically enough to make you look good. The actual understanding of play, ability to play with yer feet and out of the goal line, great physical conditions (height, coordination) are all secondary in that regard.
See Cech's ball kicking skills and Cassillas' supreme reflexes in contra to his subpar positioning.

Looks like I've been thibautpilled.

>Goalkeeping is substantially different to any outfield position, my man

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK JUST SLIP ALREADY. I WANT IT SOOO DAMN MUCH

They're not gonna slip. They're gonna win the double (Title and CL). Can't believe it. Literally relying on Wolves and Chelsea beating them. City are more likely to slip based on their opponents than Liverpool. I can't believe it bros. I really can't.

>They're gonna win the double (Title and CL)

Attached: 1541117448471.png (431x492, 487K)

Realistically Liverpool can win the Title.

Wolves/Chelsea are probably as tough as Spurs/Man Utd.

Because invites his friends like Emma Stone to watch games with him from VIP seats. Also it's they're able to write on paper that the club earned 1-3 millions per year.

Good one, mate.

Attached: mfw when.png (185x281, 70K)

Why not? Wolves have been killing the top 6 this season.

Because United vs Spurs is going to be more than just points. United need the points, will need the pride. The only counter point is United want neither Liverpool or City win the title, so it comes down to who they want to win less. Which I suspect will be City based on the fact they need the points. As for Spurs, Spurs are fighting for Top 4 too so they need a win and scalping City would basically mean they're gonna make it. Since Arsenal, whilst having easy as fuck games left, are playing 5 of them away which means at least 3/5 of those are losses. As for Wolves, they are 20 points behind Liverpool and aren't at all relatable in quality. Chelsea will want Top 4 for sure, so they might be tougher but >SARRI BALL >GOOD. I would bet on Liverpool winning the title if I was a betting man.

I honestly think if I lived in Japan I would lose my mind. It's like they're a living acid trip.

What wing does Sessegnon play on? Isco to Arsenal to replace Ramsay, yes/no? Kroos for the same? Yes/no? Bale would be great for Arsenal as well. Rakitic also good. Umtiti will probably go to United.

>What wing does Sessegnon play on?

Left I think.

Be perfect for Arsenal then as they have literally no left wingers. He'll count towards HG rule and he's young enough to get better. But Emery only has £25m to spend this window (excluding sales) so, he's too expensive unless Fulham agree to the valuation that Spurs gave. Honestly £25m is about right, especially since they are relegated.

YIKES!

Liverpool: Need a new striker
United: Depends on who leaves, but new midfielders and a FW
City: Rumoured to being transfer banned but they need another FW
Arsenal: Not really need anything in terms of numbers but they need better stuff. Another FW would be good. Left Winger.
Chelsea: Depends on so much but basically a FW who can score

>Clubs should be relegated or forced to play matches without fans for a season if their supporters racially abuse players, says former Premier League defender Pascal Chimbonda.
>Season Ticket Holders sue because they're denied games due to a single dickhead
>People falseflag as other fans to get that team banned or relegated
>Fans do it to get their team relegated so the manager is fired
>Clubs lose tens of millions because of a single dickhead
>Little Timmy asks his dad 'da, why can't we go to the footie?'
>'Well Timmy, Clive the Dickhead decided to shout mean words at a football about his skin colour, so now all of us are banned from watching football'
>'But I thought you told me we're all the same, da?'
>'I did, son. But for some reason players doing a job most of us would kill for suddenly becomes unbearable when a single dickhead shouts mean words at them. Don't let this change your ways, son. Don't let this radicalise you into thinking that people are out to get us. Wouldn't want that, would we lad?'
>'Okay, da'
BRILLIANT IDEA. I say go for it. See how long the clubs put up with it before they go 'this is fucking nuts'.

More like Pascal Chimpbonda amirite?

I don't get it.

surely the point is that you have punitive punishments so that you eradicate the problem quickly

lukaku to inter

Ah yes, it's the black mans fault for getting abused

One of the worst takes I've seen in a while.

misha gf when

Attached: 1381057911677.jpg (460x258, 45K)

Literally NOBODY said it was their fault you retarded fuck. But guess what? Banning the entire club from having fans at games means black people can't go and that's obviously racist (to live in your retard world for a min). Finally as I fucking said, all it takes is one guy in the opposing teams shirt to start racially abusing the players and the club has the entire club banned or relegated. Don't you see how this is fucking retarded? Banning clubs or relegating them because of a small % of dickheads that the club and fellow fans have no control over is fucking insane. What are they suppose to do? Put gags on every single person when they enter the stadium? I know it'd be louder than the Ethiad but come the fuck on it'd be pointless.

Can anybody explain to me why Irish posters are consistently fucking stupid and unable to read posts?

What is misha?

Genetically weak brained due to a lack of carbohydrate in the population's historical diet...

..or something..?

Predictions?
Manchester City 17:30 Brighton & Hove Albion

AFC Bournemouth 15:00 Burnley
Huddersfield Town 15:00 Leicester City
Newcastle United 15:00 Crystal Palace

City win.
Mememouth win
Lestah win.
Draw

all irrelevant anyway, Liverpool have won the Title.

Agreed

>Pascal Chimbonda believes clubs should be relegated or forced to play matches without fans for a season if their supporters racially abuse players
This isn't a hideously flawed idea or anything

gonna need a source on this one la

you and me both la

Yeah, it's just as good as saying 'no non-whites can play football'. Totally not flawed or anything! I mean it'd solve racism, nobody will be racially abused if they're all white!
