When will they address the ridiculous lengths of baseball games?
When will they address the ridiculous lengths of baseball games?
They're on average about 3:10
Quit letting batters step out after each pitch to adjust their batting gloves.
i wish every sport had games this long
When will they address the ridiculous lengths of baseball seasons?

Nothing will change until "the greatest genetation" finally dies off.
3:10 times 160 games a season or whatever it is. I was flicking through the channels earlier and there was a game on. Colorado think were playing. Must have been early morning local time.. on a Wednesday. Nearly empty stadium. What is the point of this!?
Actually now that I google it there was actually 11000 in attendance apparently. Didn't look like it. I don't get the regular season at all, playing teams multiple times in a row at ludicrous times of the week
That's really fucking annoying and why I only watch the playoffs. The games seem so meaningless, particularly for the teams at the top and bottom of the table
All they need is to add a small rule. Another counter, basically. Each hitter only gets x number of times to scratch his nuts. Baseball it's already a sport of counters, strikes, outs, balls, etc
Pesäpallo already fixed this and the rest of the sport.
the length was never an issue, it's the girth
cute
When will they address the ridiculous lack of pennant races?
>Nothing will change until "the greatest genetation" finally dies off.
Nigger those people are basically gone. Boomers are the hangers-on
Not the length of the game imo, just that it's common to go multiple innings without any runs scored or any runner advancing past first base.
Baseball's problem is a drop in offensive production. If they're not going to shrink the strike zone or lower the pitcher's mound then let them juice imo.
There should be 5 day long baseball games.

Sports that aren't timed like golf, tennis or baseball = Patrician
Sports that have a clock = plebian
Prove me wrong protip you can't
baseball won't change zoomer
Leisurely sports are comfy. You don't have to pay full attention all the time.
t. zoomer
Baseball tickets are very expensive like$300- $1200 that’s why few go yet they continue to make boat loads of money and sign players for over $400 mil
based zoomer
>aseball tickets are very expensive like$300- $1200
No fucking way. I'd bet cheap seats are like $30.
$30 should get you infield lower portion of the upper deck at worst but it gets you outfield shit at most parks
It should not cost over $100 for two people to go to a game and sit somewhere decent, pay to park, and have a hot dog and a beer but that's the case
The stadiums look empty every time I watch. Any reason you can't buy a ticket for a cheap seat and then move to get a better view?
You can very easily. I sometimes do it around the 4th inning however it's kind of a hassle because you have to move all your shit and usually miss like a whole inning moving down.
Sometimes you can, usually you have to wait a few innings until the ushers stop checking tickets. Some stadiums may make them check until midway through.
Pitch clock, which should've been here this season, but postponed again. Watch old MLB games on youtube. They were able to play high scoring games in about 2:30, since pitchers didn't agonize over every pitch.
That would really improve things, and maybe stop the games from running until 3 AM like that one game last year.
wouldn't expect eurotrash to understand such a quintessentially North American topic
when you finally live the EU
Two halves of 45 minutes and problem solved
15 pitchers a game
horse racing
When Baseball was like the undisputed most popular sport in America in the early 20th century, games only took about 100 minutes to complete which is roughly the same as a soccer match including half time.
I can get seats on the bleachers at Yankees Stadium for like $12 some games
that is because people only lived to be 28 years old back then
Baseball is an in-person experience. It's not made for TV
Weekday regular season bleacher seats are less than $20 at 20+ MLB stadiums
Hilariously wrong, the reason they have so much money is from the crazy local tv deals and games are cheap as fuck to go to.
We must kill more birds to appease the time god
watch the highlights if you dont like watching games. I love every minute, fuck off.
Based Randy, miss that guy.
they dont put baseball games at night time every night to help ease traffic and shit. Theres so many games they have a day game sometimes. It doesnt always have to be at night dude
also baseball is a series game. Plus with 162 games, it would be ridiculous to fly around the country after every game to play a different team.
>Baseball tickets are very expensive like$300- $1200
Why would you lie on the internet? $300 is for like opening day behind home plate seats. Normally it's like $20 a pop.
if you dont like it — dont watch it, stop trying to ruin shit you dont care about just because youre a bored feminine busy body
baseball is shorter than football, just stfu stop looking at your phone
>bleachers
Not even once
Literally nothing wrong with bleachers, you get to hang out at a ballgame with your buds for the price of a movie ticket, but you get to get to be drunk and boisterous.
>I don't have time to blow three hours watching entertainment, I'm a busy man on the go!
Alternate option: Have you considered suicide?
>Remove the DH
>Can't step out of Batters box
>relief pitchers don't get time to practice on the field
There, I saved you 20 minutes a game
Baseball is exclusivley a spectator sport and not for a television audience. Spending 3 hours at a diamond is great. Sitting for 3 hours watching TV being bombarded is not. I feel bad for cities without cheap minor league tickets. Dime a dog nights are the best.
bombarded by ads**

>WHY THIS GAME BORING CHANGE IT TO MY LIKING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is why we hate you.
The Rockies were playing in Miami, and are now in Tampa. Two of the worst teams, attendance-wise.
I too love seeing a pitcher whiff at two fastballs and a changeup, really exciting stuff.
>Remains largely unchanged for 280 years
This just isn't true
Jacob deGrom yesterday
all i'm saying is good things come to those who wait
did it survive?
this. honestly it drives me crazy why tf do they do that JUST PUT EM ON AND LEAVE EM ALONE ASSHOLE IT DOESNT MAKE YOU A BETTER HITTER
Baseball is actually at its most kino while being listened to on the radio
this desu
>much excitement
found the arcade leaguer
End inning-long interviews with managers/players/executives during the game
It just got clocked by one of the fastest and greatest left-handed arms in history. No it did not.
>comfy as fuck Coors Field
why would I want to spend less time there?
that game went 11 innings, most games only good 9.
TV deals + commercials are a huge source of MLB revenue, and I guarantee they're a huge reasons there's such long breaks between innings/pitching changes
Yeah
Went into concussion protocol and eventually the 10-Day DL though
The greatest fun occurs during extra innings, OP.
I honestly love tv baseball because I can shit-post on Yea Forums or do something else on my computer with comfy baseball in the background.
baseball is a great sport to chill to
