relegation

>fpbp

dodi al fayed curse

Tony Khan is their owner and decides signing of players
He also owns the Jaguars

>Sergio Rico as their first choice GK
It's like they want to lose.

The tried to play the same style they did in the championship. Should've hired Big Sam to play shit football and nick 1-0 wins

>Their best player was Schuerrle

I noticed vs ManCity that they always attempted to play out from the back rather than hoof it after winning back possession.

They didn't signed a single good defender, to make even worse they signed some old shitter like Schurrle to play as the scoring / creator winger. It was predictable.

McDonald plays great. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Wish American sports had relegation. Retard owners deserve to be punished.

Mawson was quality at Swansea

The Khans are focused in the AEW project

almost like bulk buying mercenaries leads to a dysfunctional team

They should have kept the Michael Jackson statue

I don't mind Fulham but it's better that London clubs go down. Hopefully the bottom 3 go and the current top 2 plus Dervy come up

What happened to that black pacey young lad?

The Khans were big into advanced metrics without considering team balance.
As a result, their defense was shite.
They allowed a fuckton of goals they shouldn't have.

>Schürrlel

there's your answer

unironically their best player

And they too went down. He's average but still quite young.

It was the defence and poor managerial appointments. Start of the season they were banging the goals in and conceeding at equal measure, they would win looking alright then lose a tight 4-3. Then Mitro stopped scoring and the defence was still holding up like an American house during tornado season - so they brought Ranieri in, high profile to match their implied aspersions and with his tactical nouse for setting up solid at the back and tactically thorough in the Italian way - bad move, very bad move, Ranieri is unfortunately done in the Premier League, Leicester were figured out as reigning Champions, sacked after something crazy like 2 months of not scoring in the League and in the relegation zone with Vardy, Mahrez, Morgan et al.

Bad decision making. They should've got Allardyce instead of Claudio but they were thinking above their station. You can't just throw money at one summer hoping it will stick, lazy players and shady agents will rinse you for everything they can and they will not perform.

Their own fault

>Ze Shoot from any angle Kraut
You're easily impressed Frogman

still their best player

Their highest profile, maybe. Most accomplished.

But he's old and really, really greedy. Babel is better than him, Sesseggnog could still turn into a great player, Mitrovic will score goals in the right team. Schurrle is a show pony - an old and burnt out one after nothing but sugar cubes

This

Where will based mitro go?

>Cyrus Christie as your first-choice rb
OH NO

Sessegnon wasn't ready this season apparently

At least we didn't get relegated and somewhat saved our skins. Fulham are a disaster.

>what the fuck went wrong?
They sold the core that got them in PL in the first place.
You can't just buy whole new team and expect results just like that, the old group had chemistry and knew what they were doing

Are they worse than Derby were in that season they got 11 points? They might have got 6 more points, but Derby at least had the excuse of being completely skint and having to scavenge for scraps in the transfer windows, while Fulham have spent 100m to be this shit.

this is the real question he deserves to be playing at the very highest level

Galatasaray or some similarly shite team

Remember when Seri was seriously linked with a move to Barcelona?

fuck u mitrovic rape your family

>spent a shit ton on transfers right from promotion and are now challenging for a europa league spot and the FA cup final
What the fuck went right?

going to to go the same way desu
money marks, not even once

Signed too many players and rotated the good ones and while continuously starting the shit ones. Tim Ream has by far been the worst player in the league this season and he's started 21 games this season. They also tried to outplay teams rather than shithouse them despite not being good enough to on paper, and changed starting 11/formation too much.

Ranieri was a shit appointment but sacking and not replacing him was basically accepting relegation.

Barca fans on twitter memed him based off stats

they picked too many horrible signings. all they did was get rejects from everywhere else, for me once they signed babel that was basically the contract for relegation. imagine signing a mercenary like that thinking he'd care and work hard. QPResque. they would have done better with the gung ho type of team from the championship. they would have gotten battered plenty of times but they would have won plenty. not to mention the coach was sacked VERY early, barely gave him a chance, then they went ahead and signed another retread manager who played to the weaknesses of the team (fulham is not a defensive team) and changed to a meme formation.

the opposite of this post. ream exposed in a 3-5-2, he is a "classy centerback" and not a speedy one, talk about not knowing what you have on the bench. 3-5-2 has been even worse, they went from losing but having a shot to losing and looking completely clueless every game

good riddance to them, they used to be only of my favorites in the dempsey-era (for obvious reasons, but their style and ferociousness at home was always to be admired), but here they are a detriment to the league. just as are another 5 PL teams currently, but hey.

TLDR: DONT SIGN MERCENARIES WHILE OVERHAULING THE WHOLE SQUAD THAT GOT YOU THERE, NO ONE EVER LEARNS

They spent the money on too many players, should have just bought 2 £50 million players, would have made more of a difference

They should have just bought a successful national team like wolves

He said at the highest level, if he wanted to play in the Championship he'd stay at Fulham
