Sadly, the "Seattle Freeze" is a real thing. It's even worse with the proliferation of earbuds. It
feels nearly impossible to start a conversation with someone throughout the metro area. from Everett to Enumclaw, from Bellevue to Bremerton lots of people don't like to talk in person.

yep. The city is filled with socially inept people. I know I'm a bit guilty of giving people the cold shoulder on the street at times. It's almost like it's a reflex. This year, the city was voted the worst place in America to find love for the second year in a row.

That said, if you go outside the city you are an hour away in every direction from thousands of hikes, parks, and outdoor activities. It's a great place. There are even some parts of the city that are redeeming too.

desu, I really hope "Seattle Freeze" isn't the name for the new NHL team. I feel like it's one of those safe sleeper names people will rally behind.

How much are beers at the game?

IIRC, the range is $11-$13.50 depending on the size, but I haven't bought a beer at safeco since last season.

Everything is pricey at safeco. A lot of it is good, but still pricey. Some people normally bar hop or hit up the international district to get food before the game and then top it off with a beer in the park.

If you plan on getting a dog to eat, get it on Occidental Ave North of the stadium. They let you bring them if you buy on the street along with unopened bottles of water. The hot dogs are superior on the street to inside the stadium.

when you come to seattle make sure you get breakfast at the maltby cafe.

That place is overrated. I live in Monroe and it's not worth New Zealand bro driving all the way out there just for that unless he plans on going on a hike along highway 2. 1st and Union in Snohomish is much better for breakfast. So is Stricker's Cafe in Lynnwood.

If you somehow end up in Edmonds, there's a place called the Channel Marker. It has the best tater tots I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot. It's possibly the classiest dive/sports bar you'll ever go to since the whole town is fairly affluent. The sandwiches there are pretty great too.
