The car is a bath tub floating between the four wheels. It also sends 700+ hp to the back wheels.
The car moves forward and the weight moves backwards to the back wheels which are also driven. It moves off the front wheels which steer.
Good. Now when you turn the weight moves to the opposite wheels of the direction yhou are turning.
All simple concepts.
Now each tire has a limited amount of grip it cna give. say 100 unites for all for tires. But each tire can only max carry 60 units before it cant do anymore.
YOu can use your grip points to turn or accelerate. you can see that if you accelerate and turn the grip on the back tire to the opposite side you are turning suddenly has so do way more work than the front opposite tire.
THe tire gets over 60 units and then it starts to slide.

He is a total carbabby. His teammate was an aging Webber (who lost all confidence and motivation after 2010). The cars he had in 2010 and 2012 were so good that there's just no way either of those championships should have gone down to the last round.
He is occasionally a very good driver, but still has the inconsistency he did when he first started. A lot of that inconsistency was masked by the fact that he didn't really have to do anything other than get the car off the line and cruise to victory for like half the races he participated in between 2010 and 2013.
If he was as good as some people seem to think he is, there is no way Ricciardo should have beaten him (blah blah lack of motivation new regs blah blah, he is a professional racing driver getting paid tens of millions for 20 races a year, that's not an excuse). There's also no way Kimi should have ever been close to him in quali or races. Kimi is ancient and pretty much just memeing along at this point and is very much a second-rate driver compared to what he was a decade plus ago.
And now he is getting seriously challenged by Leclerc, who is good, but Leclerc is also the least experienced Ferrari driver since fucking ever, and was also occasionally outqualified and outraced by MARCUS ERICSSON last year.
