He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's all right.

god of crossing, set pieces and looking good

Absolute Chad, good guy, protagonist, top tier boxers from h&m, make this guy the next king of Britain pls

Both. Genuinely a brilliant footballer but also had god-tier good looks.
He's probably underrated these days because people seem to only think he was a pretty face and forget his actual skill, in the same way that everyone underrates Neymar because he's such a cunt.

the last likeable english player (well maybe rppney too)

His halfway line goal is still the most kino one

He was a crucial player for a ManUnited team that won the championsleague. I think that's all there needs to be said about his abilities

elite and marketing merchant

Both

what about vardy??

Painfully average midfielder than dined out on his profile for the majority of his career.

1 became 2

No. It was the goal against Greece for me.

He is a supremely good playmaker and probably the GOAT crosser there's been. He was more of a danger to goal than most playmakers too with very good long shot abilities. I think he gets underrated now, simply because his freekicks and good looks became such a meme people think that's all he was good for.

Football's evolution didn't suit him kindly though, crossing started to die once defending got so organised with Arsenal and Chelsea, wings required either pacey people to break or goalscoring machines. By the time it was figured out that his new best role was as a central midfield playmaker a la Xabi Alonso he was already in his mid 30s playing for Milan literally cloning Pirlo's role.

absolute ledge

A non clumsy Hamez

Decent player that non being English or having that face, would have been totally forgotten years ago.
That his most important goal was against Greece in qualy says a lot.

The reason people remember that goal is because England has low standards; just like England was going crazy for battering Panama and Colombia at the world cup. That doesn't mean he wasn't a great player. His resume speaks for itself
