It’s an unironically fun sport. Recommend you try it if you are thinking about it desu
Badminton courts and 5s football are basically the only sporting facilities we've got in our little town so I've playing it once or twice a week. It's really easy to get into actually and super fun
I just wanted to know if Yea Forums likes it. I know the Danes are wild for it for some reason
Second best racket sport after table tennis
>table tennis
>sport
t. zhang
The average table tennis player covers more than 4km in little sidey steps every match
Played it in college. It was a lot of fun, but hated playing against Malaysians, since they always took the sports seriously and got super butthurt whenever they lost
I remember we used to play it in gym. We'd use a full basketball court and there would be like 6 people per team. Super fun.
That would be almost as much as tennis players which I doubt.
Danes have a great history of great players. I love it too and the better you get it transforms into a godtier sport. I'll be going back to it once my injuries subside. Only problem is club nights are always doubles, i only enjoy singles.
>table tennis
>racket sport
Fixed it for you. They use bats user
>ever played it?
Yeah. Before ACL fucked up my knee. It's a fun sport to play, even for amateurs.
*racquet. It's really quite popular here in the UK but has no TV coverage at all
I thought we were shit at it
At the pro-level yeh, same reason UK is shit at tennis - internal politics and the (lower) middle-class snob attitude. But many play it, never short of clubs or players wherever you are
>Racket or Raquet
Although I was quoting it would appear that either spelling is acceptable
>Racket is the standard spelling of the word. Racquet is an alternative spelling[2][3] used more commonly in certain sports

i have not played it, but would like to. the park by my house has pickleball courts, they're fairly comparable
>the (lower) middle-class snob attitude
What do you mean by that? The fact people here only care about football?
Generally speaking, the middle class play tennis the rung below (but above footy-class) play badminton/squash because it's cheaper to get into than tennis or golf (upper/upper-middle), but i found that the county systems had a snobby attitude towards each other. I played in outsider clubs which remebered to have fun too but my family played county, hence the claim.
the only sport we can win something, also it's fun to watch
It's fun to play and it's ok to watch at the Olympics or whatever
It's amazing how TV changes everything. Shuttlecock is mich harder to keep track of than a slow, bright yellow ball and so tennis has exploded in prize money whereas the average pro badminton/squash players probably become shelf stackers after retirement
Squash isn't so great on tv, looks like two tiny men dancing about in a tupperware container
