It's shit

it’s just a more advanced form of rigging

based

> Wastes time
> still gets decisions wrong
> Slow-mo gives false impression of events
> Makes rigging games even easier
> makes the grassroots game fundamentally different to the game played at competitive levels

Better than no VAR

too much fannying about

it's complete shit when you're at the stadium and everyone's standing around for 5 minutes

it broke football

Now that we have VAR, refball will never, ever happen again, goy

They should rework some rules with it.
Decisions should be quicker but them being slow is expected as refs are only starting to work with them

It's great, it keeps sneaky third worlders from cheating.

but it gives you a cinematic moment when the ref finally confirms the goal and you celebrate twice

the problem with instant replay is that with every notable fuckup they start to amend the rules to review more and more things. then you end up like handegg (where they already have stupid shit like TV timeouts) having a review on every fucking play

Good in theory, poor execution

The refereeing system has to be totally reformed. VAR is just a step in a good direction but in the way it's currently implemented, it will never be enough.

VAR should be in charge, not the on-field referee. The referee on the pitch should be just an assistant.

Agreed, it bothers me that VAR is only use in around the goal area, yet wrong ref decisions elsewhere on the pitch go completely unchecked even though they can be just as detrimental to the result of the game

Its bad but i want it to stay for the memes it will cause.

>small club scores
>ref checks VAR to make sure they scored and they didn’t slightly fuck up at any point
>big club scores
>ref keks and dabs
its absolutely BASED

It sucks but it's what modern football deserves

VAR... is bullshit *draws rectangle in air*

This but unironically

It's great, no more CL for halal shitrid

yeah, now they refball for barca.

VAR is fine. Refs are retarded and shouldn't be the ones in the VAR room

It's fucking obvious that referee or whoever behind them are trying to sabotage it.

It sucks, not because the technology is bad but because it's left to human interpretation. Retarded referees will still make the wrong call to compensate and balance out their previous calls.

It's shit for south american countries because their players can't dive anymore.

alright in theory, shit in reality though

>Ref got it wrong so bad FIFA sent him back home with the German NT

Offsides are objective decisions

Wrong

>each coach gets 2 calls for VAR in a game
There I fixed it

Ball clearly didn't cross the line so therefore no goal was given

Should be me d e s u

Correct opinion. Just give each team 1 review so every goddamn decision isn't a time waste. If it's important enough the opposing team will ask to check it.

But also i'll add that in this nu-world of hyper-outrage no one can just accept a mistake and move on - no system will be perfect.
