Paulie was so humble that when I was at his final home game and they were giving him a commemorations he made his speech brief because he didn't want to disrupt the playoff bound royals that we were playing. It was the same day Abreu hit franchise record breaking 36 rookie HR. Memories...
Broke my usual 1/3 choice of opening day food of calzone, brats, italian beef and went with some 16ish hour slow cooked pepperstreak mixed with rice. no need to chew, it just fell apart in my mouth. sorry no pics, i was in such a hurry to eat and cleanup : /
>I think jose quintana is a number 1 or 2 pitcher, I believe the cubs won that trade >I believe jose quintana is elite 1 week later >I never liked it, I thought it was a stupid trade and the cubs gave up too much
Dominic Young
At least he was btfo zoomers today
Oliver Smith
why the fuck is james mccann on the team? man fuck this team. spent like $40M this offseason to get absolute faggots like mccann, jay, alonso, colome and nova.
there's an infinite number of ways they could have spent that money better
Ian Phillips
that B2 should have dropped all of its ordinance to wiped both of these teams out.
Aaron Murphy
What’s the best strip club in the Chicago area?
William Barnes
it is sad that they used 40 mil on these bums when 30 mil could have gotten machado + 10 mil to spare
Angel Sanchez
timmy giveth and taketh
Jayden Adams
And this was after Rick Hahn said he wasn't interested in stopgap players.
KC has hot girls at the bars at P&E and Plaza, but you can go slumming and have a pennicillin shot ready for your cock if you hookup with a girl in westport.
Austin Anderson
What games are you planning on going to this season? I wanna shitpost at you irl
he was very obviously safe. umpires starting the season great
Andrew Martinez
sorry you got clamydia from a westport skank lol, fuck dude do i love getting shitfucked drunk at westport and then going to Town and Topic Burger though. i don't even live in your city and know the social places a restaurants better.
did they not make replays have a 2 minute timer or am I imagining things? maybe not this season, or maybe it was just a proposal. That was like 4 minutes I think
Gabriel Ramirez
that's what speed do
Ethan Gonzalez

Logan Torres

ONE RUN CALL THE GAME
Connor King
Bet you show up to St. Luke's down the street in the ER after fucking a skank like that and act like a jackass.
Blake Jones
You now remember when Palk jokingly lied about being an all-state basketball player.
Colton James
why so angsty and triggered by opening day bants on opening day? I love the city of KC, im gonna spend 2 weeks there this fall to visit a good friend.
Christopher Sanchez
Let us know in the gamethreads, I'll bring my waifu
Levi Cooper

Dominic Cox

Joshua Sanchez
Pick some good promotion days
Ayden Watson
>If you don't like Baseball, go play Fortnite David Kaplan everyone.
Samuel Diaz
we have a whole season of this fucking team flailing at bad pitches and striking out 12 times per game to look forward to. can't wait
If the supposed contract that was offered to Manny truly was tied into incentives, then fuck the Front Office so much.
Also Fuck Kenny.
Jordan Anderson
That they were wasting their and the fanbases time if they were only going to 250 anyway and should of spent on the AJ Pollock tier of guys instead. Either that or they were only in it cause Jerry never wanted to spend in the first place and just hung around at the table to they can pretend they are a major league ballclub.
TLDR
Liam Mitchell
even if a lot of it was incentives the Sox offered him more money and more years than any player ought to be offered. Half of that contract is gonna be bad money. And he wanted more money and more years than the Sox were offering. He just cost way too much to be worth it.
Lincoln Green
well at least I'm playing the right games for this season
>front office claims they made the highest offer >actually made the lowest offer >took no responsibility >blamed the player for not "betting on himself" Pretty much business as usual. At least they didn't blame the fans this time.
Carter Scott
KC advertisement for "Sweet Baby Rays" none of you guys would dare buy that national stuff considering all the fantastic local sauces you have available?
Mason Ward
shifted
Jack Morris
kek maldonado pulling out the scouting report in the middle of an at bat
I really hope they stick to it this season, I think that's when baseball is at its best.
Landon Perez

Gavin Harris
They meme'd their way to the 2014 pennant that way after all.
Liam Rodriguez
sonic slam inning bois
Dominic Carter
guys give me one good reason nick madrigal and luis robert shouldn't be called up to the show. Madrigal especially, he has nothing to learn in the minors, needs to see major league pitching. Robert probably needs more seasoning but he has the talent to play in bigs, I say challenge him, but mostly I just never want to see adam engel play again. Madrigal too can't be much worse than yolmeme they both looked pretty good in spring
Michael Reed
>summer coming back time for half price blue coconut cream slushes
Parker Barnes
Nasty nate please
Luis Clark
Would gladly never eat Sonic again for a single Whataburger in the metro though.
Parker Stewart
You don't want to see HR robberies?
Logan Young
For some reason this post reminded me of the sad tale of Jake Burger.
Jacob Anderson
>Gets out of the inning amazing
Jackson Roberts
Learning in the majors would be fine if doing so didn't effectively decrease the amount of time you have a player on your team during his good years.
James Brooks
got enough runs to bean the shit out of whoever walks up to the plate first in the top half
Carson Reyes
I don't want to see him let more shallow flies drop in front of him because he misread them and started back. I also definitely don't want to see him hold a baseball bat
Grayson Scott
And increace the amount of time he would spend with Steverson.
Aaron Brooks
Every time I hear that name, I wish Seth Beer was with the Sox.
And then pair them up with Jace Fry for shits and giggles.
the white sox extend literally everyone who is any good shockingly, whoever they have in the minors is just as bad. organizational problem
Chase Richardson
Neither of them have done anything to indicate they're ready for the big leagues.
Angel Rogers
BUSTIMINEZ
Juan Taylor
Hamilton and Burr works for now though.
>Lets just hit all our hard hit balls right to their Outfielders
Justin Hughes
a-at least it wasn't another s-strikeout
Logan Myers
I didn't say they did. I said that they'd be better served learning what they lack while in the majors than in the minors. especially madrigal
Bentley Long
He finally put the bat on the ball though. That's progress.
Aaron Gonzalez
last year we scored like 15 runs on opening day this year we're getting shutout
eh
Caleb Jones
Honestly. Off to a better start than bustcada already
Aaron Ortiz
Moncada needs to get boo'd hard if he sucks this year. he has had 1.5 years of full at bats in the MLB.
Elloy is just a rook.
Jackson Turner
I was told the Chicago White Sox were due for a hot start this year? Is this considered a "hot start" on the south side?
William Johnson
They also lost 100 games last year.
Jackson Ramirez
How's Tatis looking boys?
Sebastian King
Yes. That's how it is with Reinsdorf owned teams. See: The Bulls
Jose Johnson
Shit just got real .
Gabriel Bell
They lack too many things at the moment. Both of played poorly last year. Let them show they're at least good enough for the minor leagues before starting their free agent clock.
Why can’t the Sox and Cubs just be good at the same time so I can witness what this place would be like during a cross town world series?
Matthew Anderson
really no reason for hamilton to be dodging inside pitches
Jace Brown
white sox hot start can't make it up
Jace Taylor
It would burn
Jackson Miller
Ok, I'm 90% sure Jason is lurking here. This joke is now way too coincidental.
William Evans
steve/jason talking about aaron burr and alexander hamilton dueling, this is why i still watch this team...
Carson Young
Could someone explain to me the Jiminez situation? Ryan Lefebvre said he got paid without taking a major league at bat
Charles Anderson
Will literally never happen, 2005 and 2016 proved that these teams will never be successful at the same time. The Sox will get better only when the cubs continue to decline
Anthony Collins
royals guys made the same joke btw
Sebastian Smith
White Sox free agency is run by a random outcome generator
Josiah Lopez
i assumed he meant signing bonus
Nolan Jones
At least it's not Kenny.
Brandon Miller
>getting paid to professionally shitpost for MLB bros how does he do it
Jaxon Davis
Its the shared winning magic in this city that magic is now with the bears wish it would be the hawks though, 5 fucking points away so close yet so far
madrigal lacks a lot of things and he will always lack those things. he will never have power and he won't walk much. what he doesn't lack is the ability to put the bat on the ball and to field, and he's proved these things last year and in spring training. he doesn't really have anything to learn in the minors he sees those pitchers fine, no doubt he'll strike out at around a 5% clip again, he needs to see major league pitching to really improve from this point.
Robert doesn't really make sense to call up, but I want to see it anyway. He clearly has all the talent in the world, maybe it comes out. Maybe the better routine, amenities and facilities of the majors will help keep him healthy. And also I'm like 95% sure he's better than fucking Engel.
>all my favorite players in this game are on the royals feels weird, also bad
Connor Hernandez
Man nurse was shit we haven't had a good closer since jenks, maybe arguably santos
Liam Wright
the win percentage graph for this game was absolute madness
>he will never have power and he won't walk much Then he won't be a major league regular and there's no reason to rush it just to watch him sit on the bench.
Carson Perez
>inb4 Lauri's career gets cut short due to some insane health complication I just assume the worst possible thing will always happen to the bulls at this point. It's easier that way.
that's not true at all. everyone knew before he was even drafted that he would always lack those things and he was a consensus top 10 pick anyway. His hit tool has that much potential, he can be a perennial .300 hitter who hits a lot of doubles and a gold glove fielder. Obviously if he's called up he won't be sitting on the bench, he'll be seeing and learning from facing major league pitching every day. there's no point in having yolmer be the regular, we know what he is and that's a decent utility guy
Christian Morgan
>white sux
Colton Adams
top kek rex talking about his pre game interview with the guy who runs the headset out to the umps during replay reviews
Jaxson Ortiz
fuck
Julian Adams
Mondy has to get this sorted
Asher Lewis
also it's kind of strange that .300 is an elite batting average these days
Jayden Taylor
Too much home run swings and mindsets now
Brody Nguyen
dinger or bust baby
Chase Price
inb4 home runs
Juan Myers
chicago related: rip jordan howard
Andrew Perez
I can't wait for reinsdorf to die, I cannot fucking wait. His son will inherit the team and likely sell it to the highest bidder. We can just hope it goes to someone who takes better care of this team, that's our only chance at happiness as far as I can see
Easton Green
at least we won't be the only team shutout this opening day
Zachary Lopez
It's a chicago tradition for the decrepit owner to die (or in the cubs case their medium die) in order to have a chance to be good again
virginia mccaskey remains to be seen if she can break this
Carson Green
>beanie with a royals and sporting logo on it thats retarded tho
Lincoln Rivera
Moncada looking comfortable at 3rd though right? Should make the eventual Madrigal callup smoother.
Robert Gomez
>everyone knew before he was even drafted that he would always lack those things Because it was a weak draft and people were hoping that he would turn into Altuve. As he is now he is not a good prospect. If you saw his numbers and didn't know his draft position you'd think he was minor league filler.
>there's no point in having yolmer be the regular, we know what he is and that's a decent utility guy Check Yolmer's minor league stats vs Nick's. He is not ready to take the job.
Christian Ortiz
Imagine Adam Dunn playing his career now.
F
Connor Turner
3 outs to go can we at least get a meaningless solo homer?
Nolan Perry
>i had a ticket to this game but had to work >the same thing happened with that one huge comeback in 2014 too
Camden Sanders
I'm not saying he's ready. I'm saying he has more potential, and the best place to realize that potential is being an everyday major leaguer
Jeremiah Gomez
Your sister's bedroom.
Xavier Scott
I respect the fuck out of McCaskey, a lot of mistakes were made that she oversaw but she at least consistently tried to make the bears competitive and wasn't afraid to spend big money on the team
Oliver Allen
whoa a leadoff hit
Jacob Hall

Brandon Jenkins
>wasn't afraid to spend big money on the team This is just the key isn't it? If only more owners would realize this.
>It's going to be 5 years next month after the walkoff slam kill me
Noah Jackson
Oh I see how this is going to work Yonder will flyout and that leaves Eloy up to strikeout to end the game It would be such a white sox way for this game to end
Dominic Lewis
that's a deep infield
Jack Ross
I can still remember it clear as day. How far we've come since then. in the wrong direction.
Angel Jones
he was looking for that pitch 3-1 it was right in his wheelhouse and he missed it by 4 inches fuck it takes so long to get past this captcha, 3 pitches later now
Eli Carter
