Is classical music a sport? Who's the GOAT? Which are the top 5 countries?
Is classical music a sport? Who's the GOAT? Which are the top 5 countries?
strada-who-vious?
For me, it's Shostakovich
>inb4 zoomers calling Blowzart the top dog
For me it's Morricone
For me, its Ravel
kek, no way neyman can be Bach tho
Prokofiev is criminally underrated
Don't ever compare that faggot to Bach again.
>GOAT classical musician
>never proved themselves in the opera league
LOL
Have you seen austria's national squad yet?
Who else will they call up?
David Russell has to be in the conversation for a top 5 performer.
To me though, the best classical musicians are those who can perform, compose, and improvise.
That's a rare combination today, but was normal during the Common Practice Period.
>Who's the GOAT?
Bach
>Which are the top 5 countries?
Germany (including Austria)
Russia
Czech Republic
Rest doesn't matter
Italy is top 3. Monteverdi, Puccini, Verdi, Boccherini, Palestrina, Gesualdo, Scarlatti...
>Germany (including Austria)
+1 b&p point
>no France and Italy
-2 b&p points
karma: -1
Italy, Germany, and Russia are easily top 3.
France is 4th.
>Rossini not mentioned before several of those names
GOAT:Mozart
1. Germany (Austria too)
2. Russia
3. Italy
4. France
World XI
For me it's Beethoven.
I listend the whole Mozart production and it bore me to no end. 90% of the stuff he did is just a copypasta he produced week-to-week for his patrons.
French composers are not rated enough. Same for Italians that are often not knwon enough outside typical stuff from Vivaldi or Verdi.
>comparing Bach to a monkey
you made a powerful enemy today
Chopin >>> alle
>falling for the rachmaninoff meme
>no wagner
gib frog composers
>claims Italy is top 3
>doesn't name Vivaldi
>not sure if trolling or not
Monteverdi and Palestrina are the GOATs
Couperin, Ravel, Messiaen
I thoroughly agree, but let's not take the contrarian path and pretend that just because Vivaldi is popular he isn't unquestioningly in at least the top 3 Italian composers of all time.
americans posting about classical music is almost as laughable as them posting about football.
It just seems weird that he namedrops 4+ Italian composers and seemingly purposely leaves out Vivaldi like its cool to not rate him.
Poulenc
Fair enough, Vivaldi's great as well
Rameau,Berlioz
For me,it's click to edit
Kenny G is the GOAT
You were doing right until the last one
Better don't insult Bach this way never again
I'll give you some of the famous stuff I guess, you most likely heard it at least
Berlioz youtube.com
Ravel youtube.com
Offenbach youtube.com

At the same time your country was lunging giant metal toothpicks at each other and boiling dogs, East and West Europe were delivering unparalleled musical works of art. Don't pretend like you know any better. You're entire catalog of composers are a bunch of post 1900's robotic mimes heavily borrowing from geniuses who had far surpassed your race's ability to comprehend music 300 years ago.
fixed
As in literature, Russia did in a century what the rest of the world couldn't achieve in millenniums
Paganini - Amazing arpeggios and scores | HD - Welcome to Real Madrid 1820/1821

For me it's Marc-Antoine Charpentier
lmao
>tries to talk shit
>gets absolutely BTFO
>I-I'm n-not really Japanese
Maybe it's time to stop posting and do whatever Japanese people do when they're not busy drawing cartoon girls, which I guess leaves painfully killing yourself out of "honor' lol.
>yes
>bach
>top 3 are Italy, Germany and Russia. Not sure about the 4th and 5th.
and it continues. name some american classical musicians.
For me, it's Glenn Gould
