what happened to two man strikers?
what happened to 4-4-2?
outdated?

it got kinda forgotten with the 4-2-3-1 meme

4-3-3 is the most suitable formation for pacebabbies desu

4-4-2 is based though. Anything but 4-5-1 which caused many semen-slurping games desu

listen here how about 3-3-4

any 3 in the back formation is absolutely exposed by a BLACK PACEY MEME now which just runs past your defender

still use two strikers every time I play PES/FIFA, it's truly the patrician's formation.

What happened to Peter Crouchian style lanky target strykers?

The New attack formation is 4-3-3 atack and 4-5-1 defense

2-3-5(yes, five forwards) was the original formation apparently. Sounded quite based if you ask me

Yes. It's gone the way of the I-formation.

why though? is there a flaw with two man strikers?

>Being so shit you need another striker to be good

It's literally one of the most common formations in la liga rn. If anything it's the 4231 that's dying out

Mourinho happened

This

Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Getafe and Alaves are in european spots using 442.

if you don;t win the midfield you lower you chance of winning, its not that hard to understand.
Peps 4-3-3 is essentially a 3-6-1 or a 3-7-0 when in possession

MAKE 442 GREAT AGAIN

Any formation with 3ATB is the based.

4-4-2 it's becoming default around the world gringo. 4-2-3-1 it's dying along with the death of "el 10 clásico". But it's weird, cause specially talented midfielders still are the ones making the difference. 4-3-3 though, that's a lame meme.

...

t. Gubumbu Kwamba

Memery are doing it right now quite successfully with the two niggers that miss sitters after sitters so he just put them both up front just to compensate with le invisible bug eyed man (((operating the space))).

Two man strikers still exist, on 4-3-3 and its meme derivates (ie. one of the fowards is actually an enganche, another is the 9 and another is the 7). What actually seems to have fallen out of favor is the double 5, with one 'catch em all' marking midfielder and another one right besides him mostly dedicated to dictate the play. Nowadays it seems that the number 5 is almost always a very good passer, and that that 'distributer' role is played more by either those 5's, or a 10, or another, more mixed midfielder.

Defences pushed higher up, negating the need for technical or tall/physical players to operate in tight spaces up front, and raising demand for super pacy strikers who can run behind.

4 is more than 3

4-4-2 but the midfield works like a diamond

you don't watch football do you? players are allowed to move on the pitch
