My girlfriend and I are planning to watch Bahrein together and shitpost on /f1/
Which reminds me, she threw a temper because I did not want to come with her to her sister's party, where there would be just the sister's friends and her husband's family. I just did not want to come home at 11pm after driving 200km from my uni city to my hometown. who's in the wrong?
Connor Green
She wants you there because even her doesn't know anyone but can't just bail out of it
Henry Jenkins
eh depends on how serious you guys are. if it's relatively early in the relationship or one/both aren't committed to the idea of an ltr, then you don't have to be miserable for her sake yet

You really need to start respecting Bottas lads.

They are not for everyone for sure but they don't look bad and some design are cool
Austin Cox
I think she knew most of the people there. After all she lived with sister and her husband for a long time in HS.
The problem is, we've been together for 7months or so now. I am slightly autistic and generally a bad relationships person. I don't really fall in love, but I surely care about her and I love her in the sense that I love the feeling of having someone close to me, I love the fact she lusts after me I love the way she cares about me and that she wants to spend 6 hours just cuddling, drinking beer and watching netflix or some other shit. However, I really need my own time (and it's been getting worse lately) in the sense of me being the fuck alone or with my parents, playing vidya, watching JRE etc. etc. I also don't really like sleeping with her, as in actual sleeping, because I have had some problems with insomnia in the past and I was anxious just to go to bed for a long time. This is a thing that I will certainly just have to overcome via exposure though. In general I feel like I am 30 years older than in reality and I am afraid I'll end up as a sad alcoholic dentist with my underachieving friend coming in to brew beer with me
>Mick set to test for Alfa after Bahrein So Räikkönen will be giving his seat for Mick after 2020. So fucking kino!
Gavin Sanders
You're situation is similar to my own but 5yrs earlier, you'll overcome it. She needs to realize that you need alone time, if she accepts your needs and doesn't take it as rejection you'll be good. Go to the party if you haven't met these people before. She probably wants to show you off to the people at the party, you should take this as a compliment and try to turn down your autism for one night. She is proud to have you as her bf.
Matthew Ortiz
why aren't there any f1 characters today as interesting as him?
theyre either boring or are not allowed to show it. f1 is too neutered and professional, with pipelines of boring but fast rich kid drivers who took racing as a hobby or status symbol not as a passion. senna was also a once in a lifetime personality
Carter Long
>f1 is too neutered and professional i remember seeing a post on racedepartment of a grandpa-aged guy saying he went to a race in the 60s and walked right up to one of the racers in the paddock and met him, shook his hand and took a photo with him - all for free because it wasn't so commercialised back then
Hudson Brown
all interesting personalities for sure, but hes talking about an international world beloved magnetic superstar personality like senna
>f1 docuseries >senna doc >williams doc whats cauisng all this f1 content on netflix? did f1 finally grow a brain and figure out how to effectively market to a young audience?
Isaiah Martin
>did f1 finally grow a brain and figure out how to effectively market to a young audience?
It appears to be working, too - I've had three people at work that have never been the slightest bit interested in F1 asking me how to watch it, when races are, etc, and a couple of others who only watch the Aus GP saying they want to watch the season.
Gavin Martin

no shit sherlock. the key is it just came out on netflix. F-R-E-E and with a huge, young platform. the whole world watches netflix if i want to i can watch a rebroadcast on cable or the recorded broadcast on my espn app that comes free with amazon at anytime. so the average viewer can get their hands on it at their leisure. i like to watch them live tho
Aiden Robinson
it's been on and off Netflix for years. it's where i first watched it long ago. and your assuming FOM/Liberty owns the rights to "Senna" when that might not even be the case
Mason Bailey
fair enough, but now its in with two other f1 docs at the same time. im not assuming they have the rights to it either, but it is obviously a concerted push to show off f1. who would do that? f1 of course. even if thye dont own the rights to any of that they could use money and influence to get these docs on netflix
Logan James
I think we’re not worried if we have to take an extra engine. We’re going for performance. At certain tracks the engine penalty can be mitigated. But I think our number one goal is performance and again to close that gap to Mercedes and Ferrari who’ve been so dominant for so long. Horner is now also going for an underdog narrative :DD
>Max Verstappen’s overtaking move on Sebastian Vettel at the Australian Grand Prix shows that Honda now has "enormous" power, reckons Mercedes boss Toto Wolff. Is this man programmed to tell only lies?

Bottas has won 30 points in Abu Dhabi and 26 in Australia. So far Hamilton is in the same league with Massa in terms of over 25 points races, but I'd say it's more of a fluke than anything, Massa is the better driver than either one after all.

The Senna documentary makes him seem like he’s some kind of legendary poet racer describing the limit and throwing out quotable phrases all over. But that’s hindsight. Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the testing sessions of Jan-u-ray And Ferrari's lead hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of Mercedes shines, And often is Toto's gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from FIA sometime declines, By chance, or Tilke's changing course, untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer break shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou lecute; Nor shall Tractorcunt brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st; So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and Still I Rise.
