he's been dropped in 4 of his last 5, so you could be right. I think the issues here are that Wonderboy looked bigger than usual for this fight. I think he might've cut more weight than usual. Add that to the fact that, like Till, he keeps his hands low and chin up, and he's gonna get KOd. These karate fighters have to raise their hands, and lower their chins. Machida also comes to mind. Even Conor to an extent, Khabib, Diaz & Mendes all caught him because of this. I don't get why MMA professional fighters think it's a good idea to keep their chins up without much defence.

There's a reckoning going on in MMA and the UFC right now. Fighters, camps, sponsors, organizations are figuring out that boring-ass wet blanket wrestling is completely unstoppable. Under the current rules, the idea that a world-class striker can beat a world-class wrestler with even decent defense is a joke. Dana and WME are fighting it as hard as they can, but they can only do so much. I think one thing that a lot of people don't realize about high-level strikers in MMA is that they're vain. They get off on hype and looking like a hero when they throw and take big shots. Take a guy like that, and put him on the ground with a guy like Askren or Khabib or DC 5 years ago, tied up in a wrestling match up against the cage, rib cage getting compressed, hand over their mouth so they cant breathe right, getting popped in the teeth twice every 45 seconds, and suddenly shit is different. There's no more glory in it. You don't look cool and you don't feel like you're putting on a show when you're in that situation. Somewhere in the back of his head, he's thinking, "this is bullshit. I didn't sign up for this shit." It's demoralizing.
It's a big part of the reason why the sport has changed so much. And why no one can keep up with these elite wrestlers in MMA.
