Chess.

1. If your IQ isn't in the 140+ percentile you have no shot of winning it. There is no luck, no poor officiating, or a corrupt NBA front office to help you. There is just logic and the reality is that the top 10 chess players are going to beat you.

Chess is not a trophy you retard also

my middle school spelling bee

Euro Cup obviously

FIFA World Cup, it's not even close. For a start, you have to be male (which weeds out 50% of the world's population).

Next, you need to be born in a nation that has a chance of winning it. So far, there have only been 8 nations that have won the trophy (Uruguay, Italy, Germany, Brazil, England, Argentina, France and Spain) and there are only a couple of other countries that produce enough great players on a regularly basis to even have a chance of winning it in the future (Netherlands and Portugal).

Then you have to be a good enough footballer to be picked for your national team during the competition. All the countries are mentioned above are obsessed with football and there's a ton of competition just to even make it as a professional. Only 23 players in any country can make up a World Cup squad. Not only this, you need to make sure you're not injured at the time when a World Cup is happening.

Then you need to play against other equally good teams in the competition. Due to the nature of knockout competitions, you'll also need a bit of luck and referee decisions can easily fuck you over.

To top it all off, it only happens every 4 years (unlike most other sports tournaments, which happen are usually annual). This means that most footballers will only ever get 3-4 attempts at winning the trophy in their lifetime (there are 4 players in history who have made their country's World Cup squad 5 times and one of them, Buffon, didn't play in his first one).

To be hard to win:
-Events have to be sparse (Olympics and WC/EC with 4 year gaps come to mind).
-Number of people practicing the sport needs to be huge.
-Singles events give out fewer medals than team sports

So probably something like the 100/200m sprint gold medal or 50/100m freestyle swimming.

All of that goes for Olympic gold in a number of disciplines, x23. You can't win the gold by being a useful squad member

If you are counting urugays trophies you might as well include ours

The competition for places in your country's national football team is far greater than the competition for places in your country's Olympic squad due to the sheer number of people playing football.

Nations League, naturally

Plus Olympic Gold can be won by any individual athlete from any country in theory. Winning the World Cup (or any team-based international trophy) requires being born in the same country at the same time as other great players.

For a start, Olympic gold medals are not a trophy. Secondly, all Olympic medals handed out in the same year have the same design. So over 300 people won Olympic Gold in Rio (compared to the 23 people that win the World Cup or Euros).

Chess, you have to be born autist and rely on nothing but yourself, and the margin of error is slim to none and exposed by another 200 IQ autist across from you

being a G5 school trying to win the football Natty

you literally have to go undefeated at least 2 seasons with no slouches on your OOC schedule

then you need every single P5 team to lose at least 1 game and every Blueblood to lose at least 3 and have two of the their conference champs to have 3 losses

and them maybe your case is is strong enough to be the #4 seed in the CFP where you'll have to play the #1 team in the nation who has out recruited and outspends your program at a location of their choosing with hand picked referees.

and do it again a week later.

'140+ percentile' makes literally 0 sense and it makes me wonder why everyone is saying 'percentile' all of the time out of nowhere

lol suck it

>140th percentile
