It wasn't even10 mil

So the Green Bay spending report came in and apparently their figure for this little settlement multiplied out across the other 31 teams came out to less than 10 mil.
Imagine championing and grand standing your case to the point that Nike buys into it and end up jumping on a pity deal after the AAF offer comes to light.
Where's that starting position and salary his lawyers were swearing he would have a month ago?

Pretty embarrassing

maybe its a multi-year payment? Hard to say when they agreed to not talk about the settlement.

>Settlement in multi year payment
This doesn't sound realistic, is this coping?

wtf was the nfl supposed to do anyways. they don't control how the police force is run.

He wasn't protesting the NFL, user. He was protesting America. Duh!

>Where's that starting position and salary his lawyers were swearing he would have a month ago?
The NFL is under no obligation to sign him, but by paying him, they are admitting they did indeed collude to keep him out.

The common Yea Forums chant of "He's not good enough to play" is disproved by the outcome of this lawsuit. Which is all he wanted.

That and equal treatment under the law, of course.

>they are admitting they did indeed collude to keep him out.
Not true at all. Learn the legal system.
>disproved
*Disproven.

Wrong, and here's why:
Settlement was not just for Kaep, it was for all members of the suit to split.
Kaep was demanding 20 mil a year to play QB, he files suit on collusion under the presumption he has/can uncover evidence of it. The court conclusion of a collusion suit was going to total out more than 100 mil from modest estimations. But he takes the settlement that is less than a tenth of that. Why? Because he had nothing, the AAF offer came out to discredit his position, and Reid had moved on and was playing for the Panthers and this potential was reasonably still open to Kaep even in the limbo of the suit conclusion. If he had proof and a definite case, Kaep would win At Least an equivalent amount in payout to the contract he was demanding. So after dividing the settlement between the parties, why settle for less than a forth of just the annual sum he was demanding? Because he couldn't win the suit but he possibly could still play and get paid. The only thing is that his reputation and his sjw status would be damaged. Well, there's his motivation on there being no public disclosure.

burn

uhh you don't actually pay for the wall street jew do you

It's a bilaterally accredited NMO. No I don't pay for it and yes, it's going to be run by that pseudo-ethnicity

Meanwhile, the NFL brand is being drug through the mud. The owners are paying lawyers and court fees as the process drags and even if the AAF contract offer proves that Kaep does not infact want to play football, that has nothing to do with the suit and can not be used as a means to close the situation. They've had a major partner brand soil them by using the Kaep conspiracy as marketing fuel. They need an out, because even if they continue and defeat the suit, the fans they've lost, the players that are publicly siding against them, and the public perception are only going to be further alienated. They need to put this to bed in permanence, not win.
So the 32 owners throw a settlement offer together of just a couple hundred thousand dollars each and giant gag claws. Kaep gets the opportunity to look victorious to his base, the NFL looks clean to the rest of the public, and everyone is literally happy. That's the part that is the most impressive.
Everyone is happy. Except an extreme minority of Kaep supporters who see him taking this settlement as what it was; a copout on his sjw platform and/or admission he had no case in the end. But other than that, the NFL brand can begin recovering and Kaep has effed off.

>treating animals equally
Kek okay

>not even 10 million
Jesus Christ, what the fuck was the point of this?

Not the civil Rights he was fighting for

>by paying him, they are admitting they did indeed collude to keep him out

All they're admitting is that they wanted the case over and done with and were willing to pay him to go away. The legal fees on a case like this would have been enormous, so settling makes sense. It also puts an end to the negative publicity that accompanies the case.

>but by paying him, they are admitting they did indeed collude to keep him out
Fucking idiot holy shit

>The common Yea Forums chant of "He's not good enough to play"

Nah, it only means they say "this dude is too much of a pain in the ass and not worth signing better to keep him away" was it a Dick move? Yup, does that change the fact he was already benched and had been largely exposed before the protest? Nope

he's finally gone. it was crazy the amount of casuals popped up and tried to ruin football

bottom line: there was no collusion, Kaep settled for 10% of what real collusion would've cost the league, and he has a NDA. Clearly, at least two NFL teams offered him contracts, not including the extension he turned down from the Niners in the first place.

That's what he gets for listening to his agent about his "value".

No one with serious football knowledge was disputing that he was good enough to play. But for any signing the benefits need to outweigh the negatives. With Kaepernick, you get an aging player whose ceiling is a slightly above replacement-level QB. And he can run. That’s the pros. The cons are he’d be a constant media distraction and possibly take his teammates’ focus off football. Cons objectively outweigh the pros.

There's also the point of an older veteran QB when they are playing back up; To work with and improve the younger starter QB. You can try to teach a QB to be mobile but the Michael Vick clones either have their running ability by the time they get drafted or they never do.

Kaep wanted to start and he was asking for starter money.

What will happened with Eric Reid getting tested weekly after the Panthers signed him

Heard he filed a grievance a while back or there was talk about it

It's extremely realistic you retard most companies don't have millions of liquidity nor do they want to complete tap their liquidity.

>Doesn't sound realistic
There are entire businesses that make money buy purchasing structured settlements

And he was not either a top ten QB nor a young prospective franchise QB. Where the hell was he going to go and make 20 mil And start? The Ravens offered him a deal because they were constructing an offense he would be able to work with. He turns them down and what do they do? Draft a younger faster Michael Vick clone that ended up throwing just as well as Kaep if not better and they take their division. Wouldn't have happened if they spent 20 mil worth of cap space on a QB that could have and has ended up worse than a kid who took over halfway through the season.

he was offered a contract by Baltimore but his woke af gf called the owner a slave owner or something to that effect. Unless the gf is considered to have also colluded to keep him from playing, the suit is bullshit. He was offered contracts, he didn’t sign them for whatever fuckin reason, and it’s not collusion at all. Collusion isn’t even a goddamn crime. There is no crime to cooperate in not hiring somebody. Is the NFL colluding to prevent me from playing football because nobody offered me a contract? I’ve won as many Super Bowls as Dan Marino and unlike Tom Brady, I’ve never once thrown an interception nor been sacked. The NFL owes me ten million dollars because I haven’t even been invited to camp!

So glad this arrogant retard pissed away his shot. Should be used as a warning to new players to keep their bullshit out of the sport

The nfl lost fans due to normal people not wanting to put up with that stupid anti American shit every Sunday. They just paid him to go away and with ten million it’s pretty much busting a nut in his mouth. No one but white 19 year old freshmen cared about retard boys agenda

Kaep couldn’t throw reliably to the left and once the league adjusted to this his career was over. He was a one season wonder. Absolutely maddening that people think he was starter material.

Oh thank you for that. But the numbers seem to come directly from the Green Bay spending reports, not from a separate business entity that is paying out to Kaep
Most companies don't make 1000 times a settlement payout in a single venue on a Sunday.
Chill out.

Hey bro, same here.

Should we file a class action?

imagine living in this faggots reality

>absolutelyl maddening that people think he was starter material

AND THIS IS WHY HE DOESNT HAVE A CONTRACT

If he was talented, people would look past his stupid bullshit and give him a deal. But the problem is, you're getting a shitload of baggage just for a guy who is going to win you 4 games and probably end up being a bench warmer the next season after you draft a QB.

Do you actually believe this? I mean, I know this is Yea Forums but come on bro, you can't be this fucking dense.

Do you not understand the concept behind settlements?

>implying this isn't just him leaking out false info so he can donate ""all"" the money to his sjw causes while pocketing 70 mil

Fuck off kid. You’re clearly 18 or underage and don’t remember what sporting events were before 9/11 no one gave a shit about the national anthem

Imagine watching this gay sport.

Nice try fellow ameribum. Foot ball is king in America and the AAF ratings proved it

>sits down for national anthem
>Americans cry
I could take a piss during my one and nobody would raise an eyebrow. Still, our national day > your national day

sad post, reeks of obsession

CHI

Hows ESPN going to spin this?

If hes so bad why did he make it to the super bowl and almost won it?

Inb4
>he was a system baby

No. You need to be at the very least good to play in the super bowl. He doesnt get a fair chance like the others, he has a place in the league

Reminder that Colin Kaepernick singlehandedly ended the Boise State scourge in college, Reminder that he led a team to a Super Bowl, something garbage QBs like Trevor Simian and Kirk Cousins will never do despite making 8 figures.

Reminder that Kap was on his way out as a starting QB before kneeling.

Reminder that Kap and his associates are ending their protest against injustice and police brutality of minorities for roughly 3 million dollars.

Reminder Nike promoted Kap's protest while operating hundreds of sweat shops where workers are paid less than 20 cents a day (and they have to install nets across their buildings to reduce suicide).

Reminder that you are a cow slave and it is almost time for you to work another 10 hours before your bread and circus.

People spread out payments over time all the time though? And I would particularly think such a payment plan might even be necessary for teams like the Raiders to be able to both chip in and maintain operations.

>they just wanted the case over
>payments mean nothing!
>dont you know what a settlement is!
This is the same NFL that was ready to go to court over CTE instead of settling. Contrary to what you hear in the echo chamber, or possibly because you're confusing cause and effect, rich people/companies dont actually settle over any and all cases brought against them just because they "don't feel like dealing with it“. If anyone stupidly did such a thing, they'd have thousands of calls for civil suits in their mailbox the next morning.
Rich people negotiate for a settlement when theres a smoking gun in evidence that's not worth playing around with, or there's potential for a domino effect to occur in other areas when the facts come to light. Otherwise, they can simply afford to perform a resource expenditure attack and draw out the length of the court case to a point where the opposition cannot financially afford to continue. Then they argue for the opposition to pay attorney fees on top of that, which further disincentives people from trying to take action against them in the future.

it's a glorified wwe

This.
it's very realistic, that's how a lot of larger settlements are.

is this enough to maintain his shoe room?

kill whitey

No. They just settled because it was just cheaper to pay him 330,000 per owner rather than on lawyers.

Typically a case this large you are talking tens of millions. In the CTE case 115 million was eating up by lawyers in one side in 6 years. (atleast) for the nfl to keep it up you are looking at 20 to 30 million a year in lawyer fees alone plus bad publicity. The CTE case was different because there was a huge amount of players going after the NFL for years and there was coverup going on with the teams.

Of that 10 million Kap will probably get at most 5 million after lawyers fees and taxes and that's all he'll ever get, ever from the NFL. He basically took a knee
