Indycar is already so different from F1 it's really hard to judge one way or another. The only thing you can look at is how dominant a driver has been throughout their career in terms of wins.

Well, I watched the replay of FP2 and it was absolutely unwatcheable (choppy framerate, out of sync audio, jumps randomly 5s forward, black screens, etc.). Have a look for yourself. Apparently, it was this bad for most of the season last year.
However, there were absolutely no problems today for qualifying. It's not 4k 60 fps quality, but still pretty okay.
