This, apparently he spent time practicing this before the season started. You always see people getting into position slow and reloading slower. Never understood why they don't drill this like crazy, so often you see people losing by less than a second, imagine how much time they could save by doing these things fast. Just look at Vittozzi, who often has a 10-20 seconds lead on her opponents after the shooting.

It's so weird to see how much the takeoff speeds differ in women's ski jumping. Taking off from the same gate, Karpiel had a speed of 87,6m/s while Zdenka Pesatova had a speed of 91,4m/s. In men's jumping, the difference is usually at most 1-1,3m/s. Just goes to show how stiff the competition in men's jumping is compared to women's – we'll see if it stays the same in 20 years' time.

Swedish/Norwegian/Danish used to be Old Norse, which back then was pretty much the same language. It developed into modern scandinavian, but now because of nationalism we call them respectively; Norwegian, Swedish, Danish. But you can just call it scandinavian really.

Plenty of female biathletes and skiers use Wassberg for slight up hills. For example Kaisa, Tiril, Olsbu, Hojnisz. Hermann is a strong skier no doubt but it would be unfair to say that she is the only one, especially smaller skiers have capacity to use Wassberg for longer than larger skiers.
