As somebody who really paid attention to the whole process, Brown isn't perfect by any means but phillyfags are retarded. The guy was told to do the best job he could as the team shed assets and purposely tried to lose and to his credit he got them to play hard and found some real diamonds in the rough. You could tell that the team would be playoff caliber the moment he got some remotely decent talent to work with and stop tanking, sort of like the nets these last few seasons.

Fast forward to last season. Team is finally mostly healthy and everybody thinks they'll win ~40 games and fight for an 8th seed. He has to restrict Embiid too because he's made of glass. They go on to win 50+ games and look way better than the sum of their parts would have you think. A lot people thought they were reminiscent of the spurs which makes sense since that's where Brown comes from. They win a playoff series and basically wildly overachieve

Then the boston series happen. They could/should have won that series. They were in almost every game yet without fail seemed to blow it at the end every time. There's a lot of fingers to point but most fans try to scapegoat Brown when really the players just didn't execute. Simmons and Embiid throwing the ball away, reddit bricking, Simmons getting a "game sealing" rebound but tossing the ball up because he's scared of FTs, etc. There was a lot of blame that could be thrown around but a lot fell on Brown.

Fast forward to this year. Management wants him to see what Fultz can do (it was awful), roster gets major shake ups twice, and bunch of new faces that don't know the schemes, etc. Still on pace for 50+ wins. Yeah his adjustments might be a little questionable or slow and he lets the team go on scoring deficits a bit too much, but if I had to overall rate him good/bad it would be overwhelmingly good especially compared to the rest of the league. Definitely top 15, maybe top 10
