It is Stockton

le statpadd assists in the regular season man

>watching apehoop

Stockton never finished above 7th in MVP Voting. Magic is the GOAT PG.

thats because shooting efficiency was underrated and he played with Malone another all timer. they just ran against MJ like Seattle and the Knicks. Replace MJ with LeBron's 3 titles and all of those teams likely win a ring, or maybe the Suns 93

Curry.

If Lebron replaced MJ the Bulls would have won 8 straight and Hakeem wouldn't have any rings.

It’s Allen Iverson, you should know seeing as you’re a phillyfag

Lebron lost a Finals while favored on a stacked team before though? How can you assume he'd never choke in that era without an elite 25ppg+ scorer, when he choked with an elite guard on his team in '11 while facing a geriatric Mavs team that they were favored to beat.

Bulls were the most stacked team of the 90s

Steve Nash. He revolutionized the game.

This. Nash is the GOAT point guard.

It really is too bad that his #1ness is thrown away because of the racism and muh rangzness of apehoop
Dude was playing on expert ironman mode w/ choking incarnate as his teammate for 20 years, while Magic was playing on Pleasantville mode w/ the GOAT where he could punt the ball into the rafters and Kareem would turn it into points

Magic Johnson, and that’s obvious.

reame

didn't answer the question. Lebron already lost with most stacked team.

lots of microballers in this thread

90s Bulls were more stacked than the Heat

Mark Price if he didn't blow his knees out

wasn't that the first year? heat were a clean slate going into that season, it was literally 3 guys + a bunch of random pickups auditioning

Magic. Followed by Stockton and maybe Oscar after that.

>2011
That team was pathetic after the big 3, they had zero depth. And we're not talking about 2011, we're talking about the 90s when zone defense didn't exist. LeBron would've averaged 40 back then.

Funny how easy it is to spot someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about
insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=345176

By the way, NBA teams play zone defense 3% of the time today. Please tell me more about weak 90s defenses

Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant are certainly more talented than Lebron, Wade and Chris Bosh (and have the hardware to prove it) but a depth chart of Craig Hodges, BJ Armstrong, Bill Cartwright, and John Paxson is super stacked?

95-96 Bulls had Rodman, Longley, Kukoc, Harper, Kerr

That’s funny, I recall the Bulls winning three titles before they picked up any of those guys.

>only a Brit mentions mark price in the entire thread
All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Against who? The post-Kareem pre-Shaq Lakers? And Charles Barkley by himself? LeBron would sweep those teams with 2008-09 Cleveland

Teams could also hand check on defense in the 90’s which made getting to the hoop a lot harder. Lebron would have a harder time with that.

And the first 3peat teams weren’t head and shoulders above the competition. In both the 91 and 93 finals the teams they faced in the finals finished with better records and many people thought the 91 Lakers were going to beat the Bulls.

Curry is the GOAT PG and it's not even close.

LEbron would struggle against the physical play of 90’s defenders.

lol. it was a fucking foul to double team in the 90s

Пeтap Mapaвић.

No it wasn’t. Jordan regularly got double and triple teamed. Hand checking was literally removed to make scoring easier.

No, he didn't. Haven't you ever heard of illegal defense?

Yes user, I grew up in Chicago and was in 6th grade when the Bulls won in 91.

I know what illegal defense is, and it didn’t make double teams illegal

illegal defense didn't make double teams illegal, it meant you had to completely commit to a double team. Today a lot of defenders stay in between two players and aren't guarding one person specifically, that's what was illegal.
>270 pound guy would struggle against 220 skellies getting physical with him.
Except for maybe a large PF like Barkley or Malone switching onto him, nobody is going to handcheck Lebron. Name a SF from the 90s who could get physical with LeBron. All handchecking would do is turn him into DPOY.
yeah against one-star teams. Scottie Pippen was easily head and shoulders above the second best player on the Suns/Lakers/Blazers.
The 2011 Mavericks relied heavily on the zone to beat Lebron. Wade and Bosh too. Teams rely less on zone today because it's weaker against the three, and there are more shooters today. But MJ was a 30% 3pt shooter so he would have died against the 2011 Mavs' zone

Patrick Beverly just held Lebron to 0 points while guarding him, Beverly is a better defender without handchecking than Gary Payton or Jordan in an era that allowed physical defense?

Lebron couldn’t even beat Dirk by himself with Wade and Bosh, why are you certain he’d beat Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, or James Worthy?
