It amazes me how Miami should be a prime baseball destination, but is constantly sabotaged by bad ownership

The lack of fan interest doesn't help. South Florida people are overwhelmingly Yanks/Sox fans, either because of Northeastern transplants or because the Cuban/Dominican community arrived before the Marlins existed and naturally adopted the Yankees. It makes it very hard for Miami to establish a fanbase. Machado grew up in my hometown and Hosmer went to my HS, they're both Yankees fans.
