In general, the number of viewers within the 18–49 age range is more important than the total number of viewers.
Average sports rating among 18-49 demo on Saturday (for reference): 0.24 UFC 235 Prelims on ESPN took the no.1 spot.
>AAF Season stats so far (cable only): Average viewers: 547 k Average ranking/rating (out of 150): 44.75
Average rating among 18-49 demo: 0.18 Average rating among 25-54 demo: 0.28 Average rating among 18-34 demo: 0.14 Average rating among 50+: 0.28
Average rating among men: 0.33 Average rating among women: 0.13
For those who say this doesn't take into account streams on youtube and on the AAF site, they average around 1.5-3.5k viewers ea. at most -- so the viewership number is negligible.
The Fleet need him more than any team if Nelson can't get back out there.
Jeremiah Bennett
i dunno if he cant hack canadian football seeing him do anything in the aaf is hard. its also hard to envision the fleet signing him after they signed a QB today
Jace Ramirez
How do we fix the fleet?
Thomas Scott
Damn I just read the news. Didn't know Nelson had that bad of an injury and we get to be subjected to the Bercovici show again. I hope he's grown in those weeks on the bench.
Angel Bailey
are you asking if they can be............... salvaged?
That would be a big blow to the AAF. I really don't care for the XFL coming back. There's already a very small talent pool for NFL rejects and undrafted players
its a kind of a wait and see approach right now the Fleet activated RB bishop sankey yesterday. for those of you who dont remember sankey was a 2nd round pick by the titans in 2014 had alot of hype surrounding him before that. he bounced around teams for a few seasons before joining the Fleet if Sankey can get it togther, the Fleet are going to have the BEST rushing attack in the aaf. we already have the best running back in the league in Gardner and Watson is a top 10 back. If sankey can perform even a bit, that takes an enormous pressure off of bercovicis shoulders as he wont be asked to win games hell just be asked to throw good passes. and he did a handful of those maybe he was just nervous week 1. maybe hell be hungry for this new chance to prove hes better than he was. fleet arent done yet at least not on paper. well see this weekend!
Honestly I think Manziel is almost yesterday's news. Aside from the dudebro market I don't think he would draw that many new eyes, and I don't even know if he would be on the field. He stunk in the CFL.
Ryan Lopez
I'm really excited to see week 6 vs. the Iron. That 1 yard goal line defense that they put down against the commanders was incredible and considering how good Watson and Gardner are, it'll be a real matchup to see the Fleet running game vs the Iron running D.
Ayden Cooper
Lifelong ApolloChad here
Landon Harris
To the bottom of the fuckin ocean you cocksuckers go!
>cocksuckers >going down I certainly see what you did there.
James Brooks
before nelsons injury it was undoubtedly going to be the game of the season now alot hinges how the fleet responds vs salt lake im hoping they can get it together
week 5 power ranking 1. apollos vs iron - leagues best offense goes against leagues best defense 2. commanders vs hotshots - the west is wide open whoever wins here can either tie or claim 1st place 3. fleet vs stallions - can the fleet recover from the loss of nelson? they are still in contention for the west. stallions can recover ground with a win here 4. express vs legends - both teams came away with their first win last week, who will capitalize on that momentum and who will fall back into the basement
this ought to be a fun week. I'm honestly surprised that ORL @ BIR isn't the primetime game because that's going to be important. The rest of the games look to be pretty even matchups. Memepiss vs. Kangz has potential to be hilarious
Chase Peterson
>discord Faggot.
Robert Young
or you could just post in this extremely slow-moving thread, you jizz gargling pederast.
Lincoln Scott
... did... did you not even look at the thread you're posting in? It's literally in the OP post, dipshit.
Ayden Hughes
ORL/BHM could've been battle of the unbeatens, but Iron dropped a game last week.
ATL/MEM could've been a battle of the winless, but both squeaked out wins in the last two weeks.
Not as epic as it could've been, but we'll take it.
>zero team movement there is also a zero percent chance of this happening
Carson Edwards
>is annoyed by a fanbase >continually brings them up >only bothers to interact with fans of said fanbase gee wow this is a head scratcher of where the problem actually lies
Game reps are vital in order for a QB to develop properly. I think the NFL is really keen on the idea because it allows very raw prospects to actually participate in competitive games and keeps talent in the AAF.
Cooper Lee
And yet Perez showed up fully formed
Joshua Butler
take a guy like Teddy Bridgewater, one horrific injury that destroyed his chance at being a starter and now he is stuck behind Drew Brees with no chance of him retiring anytime soon. Might as well use the AAF to prove his skills haven’t atrophied to dust or get some of that rust off with real playing experience
Thomas Ward
Has Perez thrown a TD pass or is Richardson going to punch them in 2 yards at a time?
Daniel Bell
i mean the roots of the aaf was always going to be NFL cast offs this just formalizes the relationship
Nicholas Ward
Lol no deal confirmed other that rumors (probably started by Vince to get more investors)
Nolan Foster
In his defence, Birmingham's WR core is really lackluster and their OL is super depleted. If his circumstances were a little bit better I'm sure he would be thriving. That being said, Trent Richardson should just convert over to FB already. They have way better backs waiting to get more snaps, but Mr. Le miss the hole man keeps hogging all of them.
Camden Allen
I see it making some sense for those QBs who look like they could be great but are doomed to sit behind established starters that never get hurt, and the way of the NFL is to dump those guys after 3 years and draft some rookie in the 3rd to replace him since they're never gonna play anyway. But then they're just on loan so at best they'll increase their stock enough to be traded to go back up someone else. Plus why would guys with NFL salaries (even low end ones) go risk their careers to make 75k. Unless their NFL team will be paying them more to go
Julian Gonzalez
why bother thinking about expanding when you can just sit and wait for vince to beg you to take 2-4 of his teams
Hudson Fisher
Yeah that’s all fun and games until your Alex Smith it Deshaun Watson gets injured then you are stuck with “mr. I haven’t played in 3 years” to be the face of a billion dollar franchise.
Nick Foles are once in a generation occuraces, most guys need real experience to keep the skill set fresh
Christopher Clark
Well the article states that they are talking over how player contracts would work. I imagine an AAF contract will just supplement an NFL contract while the prospect is playing in the Winter/Spring.
Carter Campbell
True but also Most of the XFL teams are in gey markets. St.Louis is really the only one the AAF could take in
Justin Cook
Don’t know shit about this meme league but by geographical distance I guess I’m a Salt Lake fan Redpill me on the Stallions
Jonathan Baker
Who uses the app to watch the games?
Nicholas Johnson
XFL blew it by not going for markets that the AAF snatched. Norfolk and Boise would be a better place to have a team over the over-saturated LA market.
Luis Martin
The XFL might be able to pull off having teams in NFL cities just due to its perceived brand power.
Tyler Hughes
>AAF’s strategy is to be in markets without an NFL team! >Atlanta and fucking Florida get AAF teams What did they mean by this?
Bentley Harris
Also playing February/March/April in Boise is not a great idea
Daniel Edwards
To be fair, Orlando is an NBA city, not an NFL city.
Aaron Jackson
Are there any games I can actually watch this weekend? Got into this week 1 but then they moved all the games to fucking cbs sports so I haven't been able to watch since
James Hughes
The NFL would be smart to let their third-stringers and prospects play in the AAF. Maybe even make a small investment in the league. They could use a developmental league.
Zachary King
they're all always on aaf.com, albeit not always with commentary, and some user generally posts the YouTube link in game threads.
Also since you haven't watched any games since week one I need to tell you that the Fleet are 0-5
Levi Howard
So how would NFL teams do in this league? Obviously the Patriots or Rams would probably go undefeated and win the chip easily, but could a team like the Cardinals blow out the league?
>but could a team like the Cardinals blow out the league? LIKE the cardinals, or actually the cardinals?
because no.
Alexander Long
Orlando vs Birmingham will be on TNT this Saturday
Carter Anderson
then it doesn't matter what site it's on

I honestly think last season's Cardinals would lose to the Hotshots. God that team was fucking shitty. The 0-16 Browns and Lions were better than that team.
>get laid off with no severance or anything >on/off gf of 5 years suddenly stops talking to me at all >no response from either interview I had last week >anxiety through the fucking roof, dry heaving and tearing up at random times >doing doordash all day every day just to pay my bills and debts >can hardly afford food >iron look like shit CAN SOMETHING JUST GO RIGHT FOR LIKE ONE SECOND
If you dont want boatposting you can follow the mexican league tho
Cooper Taylor
Is it true? Are the Apollos being promoted to the NFL for the 2019 season?
Jeremiah Foster
there aren't even any Stallions fans in Utah.
Isaiah Lewis
>is this fake thing i made up true? No, and if the NFL moves to make it a developmental league it's because they want to leave zero change of pro/rel happening.
Evan Davis
>your city >your AAF mascot Do not reply if you already live in an AAF city.
Charles Gonzalez
Hmm... >Birmingham >Iron
Ethan Gomez
so you're an Iron fan who doesn't live in Birmingham?
Any games that Cleveland won before Hue Jackson and Todd Haley was fired was IN SPITE of them, not because of them. If Kitchens was coaching earlier in the season, I think the Browns would have had a least 10 wins and maybe a wild card spot.
Colton White

when the aaf is in ashes...then you have my permission to shitpost
The draft works entirely different than the NFL, players are assigned via region, so if you're literally from, like, Wyoming or went to school there, you're getting sent to the Stallions.
>florida >alabama >arizona >sf/sd for what purpose
Alexander Edwards
"Florida" is not a market.
"Miami" and "Tampa" are markets, they have NFL teams. So does Jacksonville, allegedly.
"Orlando" is an entirely different city separated by many miles. They got the AAF team.
While it's true the Arizona Cardinals to play in Phoenix, and they are technically an NFL team, I think we can all agree they don't really affect anything, aren't taken seriously, and are a non-entity. The Hotshots are already better than they are.
Ethan Powell
>The Hotshots are already better than they are. Not if they keep losing easy games.
fleet bout to beat the stallions so bad theyre gonna have to call themselves the geldings to save you from having to look up what 'gelding' means its a gelding is a castrated horse or other equine, such as a donkey or a mule. Castration, as well as the elimination of hormonally-driven behavior associated with a stallion, allows a male horse to be calmer and better-behaved, making the animal quieter, gentler and potentially more suitable as an everyday working animal.
Probably. I'm a little surprised the AAF didn't manage to get better broadcasting partners. It's not like there's anything else worth watching on weekend afternoons anyways.
Mason Campbell

Get in here.

I'd burn my Iron gear if I owned any.
Nathan Gray
who the hell can stop the apollos. why is a florida team doing so well this is some trickery
Chase Thomas
APOLLOgize
FUCK the Fleet Good game, ironbros Undefeated On to the cumshots
>Florida team >Affiliated with Dolphins >Dolphins are the only team in the Superbowl era to achieve a perfect season It's going to happen again.
Robert Bennett
Shame New England didn't get a team. I guess the NFL didn't let the AAF field one. Gotta let the rest of the country have their peewee league victories otherwise they'd be so assblasted from losing year round that they'd stop watching football altogether.
So as i understand it players are distributed geographically. Seems to be kind of imbalanced because of the variations in the talent pool. They need a traditional draft
Logan Ramirez
San diego trolley system has a ton of fleet fans on it atm Feels good to see people getting into the whole thing
Anthony Edwards
90% of Fleet "fans" are just bandwagon shitposters who have never watched a game and have no connection to San Diego.
This is an objective fact, and cannot be disproven.
>no connection to San Diego No shit, Sherlock. The grand majority of people are fans of teams they have no connection to in these threads. There's only 8 teams in this league.
Easton Hill
Match thread when?
William Wright
>at stadium >stallions come through tunnel >/mlp/ theme starts playing completely expected kino

Blake Thomas
>Boats always talking about how they're the most active fans >Can't even create a thread for their own match
>fleet and apollos are both involved in the 2 top attended games of the week, every week so far >cummanders involved in the worst attended game in AAF history lol
Parker Howard
Yikes that isn't great
Jonathan Foster
I don't understand the attendance numbers for the Iron/Apollos game. It looked like much more than that on TV.
Fleet/Stallions also seemed like much more than usual, but at least 20k is a good number.
That Birmingham iron attendance fall... wtf happened?
Asher Rodriguez
Week 4 was all around bad, did anything happen in Clapistan?
Levi King
The relationship between GM and coach was a subject of Tim Green’s: The Darkside of The Game. He said that GM’s have egos that get the wrong kind of players for the coach.
Reading that opened my eyes to one of the biggest foundations to the Patriots success: a hands off owner and a coach&gm combined duties. Every other team is in a constant 3 way fight.
Contrast this with mike pettine’s 2 seasons in Cleveland. The guy couldn’t catch a break and was immediately fired. He was forced to start Manziel even though he didn’t think that the guy was ready.
Noah Robinson
Bad storms in the south and snow in Salt Lake that week.
Henry Lopez
Only Texas cares enough about football to attend.
Cameron Thomas
Thanks
Luis Peterson
>wake up >S T I L L have no lost a game in the entire history of our franchise/league It is quite a good feel, that of being undefeated
Ok so how do we fix the Fleet? The match could've been lost because of Bercovici holding the ball for too long without running or passing it. His passes are ok but he's got this critical flaw.
Samuel Foster
Practice. The O-Line has improved significantly and he is playing better than he was in week 1.
Chase Walker
When is the game?
Zachary Powell
In two hours
Christopher Walker
find mike a boyfriend to instill some confidence in him
Bentley Wright
defense and special teams are going to drag this team to the champion ship in its current state i dunno if you can fix bercovici. he was either super hot or super cold on throwing. i also didnt really like that martz had him throw like 40 times. he was lucky the stallions didnt have 2 more ints. i honestly think that as bad as ross was he is basically bercovici with legs so why not give him a chance
Tbh Berco seems to be slightly less bad han Ross, then again, Berco got to enter twice as an starter and not as a backup v one of the nastiest defenses like Ross. Berco does have terrible pocket awareness tho, if there's injuries to OLs he will start looking like headless chicken while I think Ross couln maintain its temper and be 'functional' (to say a word) with a bad OL
Jack Davis
desu until 2 or 3 weeks 2-4 could be rearranged in many ways (which will btw make the playoff entrance in the West interesting) but Nelson being dead and both Berco and Ross being mediocre won't help while both shots and 'manders are relatively healthy And no, unless something happens pollos seem to have the ship in their pockets
Cameron Taylor
its pretty much berco - slightly better arm ross - significantly better mobility dlinemen running around trying to get ross are gonna get tired and that lets the 3 headed monster of gardner-watson-sankey go to work i think bercovici gets 1 more game if he looks more or less the same as he did last game then itll be time to move on
I'm from the future Memepiss squeaks by the Kangs Cummanders BTFO Cumshots
Jayden Young
Berco kinda saved his ass with that dragon to set the game winning FG yesterday, he will get 2 more chances unless he absolutely shits the bed vs Urrrrns which could actually happen since they very good defensively (I'd say something around 200yds, 58% and no more than a to will be the line between acceptable and not) but since I expect SD to win I don't think they will be too harsh on him either way
If trades are a thing they could aim for Trevor Knight, he is more mobile than Ross and has a slighly better arm, a good OL (not even the best one in the roster, the 2nd or 3rd will suffice) plus maybe Berco too would also be great for the shots line so it's a win-win
Jeremiah Taylor
Who do >we want to win between Commanders and Hotshots?
Will Yea Forums ever not be mediocre at the 4cc? also, wtf happened that now scoring 10 goals a game is normal?
Isaiah Kelly
>since they very good defensively Especially in the redzone, which will be a nightmare for Bercovici. He's got a lot of power, but his accuracy is iffy and his ability to follow through in the endzone was terrible.
>Will Yea Forums ever not be mediocre at the 4cc? Literally played in a final last summer. The capacity to win is there, it's just so happens the team shits the bed every now and then. >also, wtf happened that now scoring 10 goals a game is normal? Last cup was on 16, which is infamous for the insane number of goals. Expect non-retarded amount of goals in spring when 18 is inaugurated.
Nathan Hughes
How did Fleet blow a 20-6 lead against Memepiss again? I didn't watch it.
Blake Watson
Fleet starting QB got his collarbone broken and the backup bungled the second half
Caleb Ward
Memphis was playing extremely well the entire time they were trailing, everyone could tell they were gonna come back. They were getting to the red zone, had great passes, and only conceded from shit goals. They were the better team.
William Rodriguez
>not rooting for the fleet >not shipposting its over for you user all downhill from here
the only reason people hate on the fleet is because its pretty much guaranteed (you)s because the fleet is the only team with presence and dedicated fans because the fleet is the only team that matters because the fleet is the only relevant team in the whole league if you guys were any more saltier about it we could sail over you too
no, that goes to the commanders, and by a decisive margin. SA's first home game drew short of 28k, the second 29k. The best SD turnout was this week against SLC, a little short of 21k. Still, that means that SD is at least stable and getting recurring fans. I'll gladly take that.
Henry Morris
Poor Arizona, all remaining opponents have willing records. Not to mention the next opponent is Orlando
Xavier Sullivan
How the fuck do we fix the hotshits? Is it time for the league to step in
They just seemed under prepared. They looked good in the 2nd half.. mostly. If they can fix the turnover problem and be better prepared, they could easily be the 4th best team in the league. But as of now they're the 6th or 7th after that performance
Jack Collins
BASED COMMANDERS
Julian Miller
>In before finishing the season 5-5 It’s time to SAC up.
>wake up >still undefeated after half the season Based feeling desu how can other fans deal with the fact that their team has l*** games? almost worse than having a QB that has thrown an interception
w6 power rankings 1. fleet vs iron 2. commanders vs legends 3. express vs salt lake 4. hotshots vs apollos
Noah Scott
>power ranking >undefeated team in last place Have you considered suicide
Thomas Baker
>is playing a team that has been looking like absolute dog shit >everyone knows the apollos are going to blast the hotshots not worth watching boring predictable outcome
Joshua Brown
it would be a shame if a boat picked off your team 3 times
Fleet vs boatsfags is the only game worth watching desu On a side note, does anyone still watch the lfa? Are there recordings of the games? I missed like 2 oso games
Sports wise, College basketball dominated Saturday, taking the 1,2,5,6 and 9 rankings on cable. The Apollos/Iron game only managed to beat out a 4:00 AM rerun of the NBA (349k) and a LIGA MX (378k) game that day. The NBA had a primetime spot on ABC that night.
On Sunday, Sportscenter was the highest rated sports show at 24, followed by the NHL Bruins/Flyers game at 29 with 715k viewers. The NBA also beat out the AAF with the highest game at 47 (Suns/Golden State) and 530k viewers.
