We have produced Maier, Turek, Trautmann, Stein, Schumacher, Kahn, Lehmann, Köpke and Stuhlfauth just to name some of the bat. Right now, we have Neuer, ter Stegen and to a lesser extent Leno and Trapp.
I know comparing Slovenia with Germany isn't fair, but I'm trying to say that producing two decent GKs in a generation isn't enough in order to be a powerhouse, regardless whether he meant that ironically or not. It's also not an insult but a genuie question, maybe there are other good Slovenian goalkeepers I'm not aware of.
