Honestly the Qataris are great at organizing events like this and have the funds to make it work very well. As for hosting it in the winter, I think this is where the bid falls apart. How will club football deal with this? Also no alcohol laws are lame for the tourists and might discourage a lot of people from coming; adding a 100% tax on alcohol won't work.
