What would be the best trade offer the Lakers could get for LeBum other than a straight up trade for AD? I'm thinking we could fetch something decent from the Hornets or Wizards...
reported for spamming
LeBum for Westbrook straight up who says no?
larry please save us from this pic spammer. im already reporting his ass
DeRozan + Mills or Poetlel
Remember Hassan Whiteside?

Rozan/Jakob would be a pretty sweet trade actually....And LeBum/Pop would be the perfect storm...

Why didn't the Sixers traded for Harris before instead of giving up my boy Saric for Jimmy "Brett Brown doesn't know how to use him" Butler reeeeeeeeeee

Based Bill, what a fucking beast at that time.
would be sweet but the celtics are pretty good at home while the trailblazers are pretty big frauds
The Rich Paul Mafia and Adam (((Silver))) won't allow a LeBitch trade....And if they somehow did trade him they would instruct all big time FA to not sign with the Lakers effectively blackballing the team...But all that would be worth it to get rid of LeShit tho tbqh.

Based throwback photo poster.
I think there’s only 2 players with clear and obvious superstar potential in the upcoming draft, and thats Zion and Ja Morant.
Barrett disgustingly reminds me of Wiggins with how he plays, and Cam Reddish, while not a terrible player per say, clearly lacks the alphadog gene to be a true star since he’s been relegated to 3rd wheel by Zion and RJ. Romeo Langford is statpadding ineffiently on a bad team, and Nasir Little has just been all around disappointing as a freshman.
I think after Zion and Ja, the 2 players I’d actually be most interested are Jarrett Culver and DeAndre Hunter. They are unlikely to be dominant stars in the NBA, but they look like great complimentary players if you already got a ball dominant star. Both play excellent all around defense, make good decisions, have excellent off-ball skills, pass and rebound well, and both are low ego heady guys who currently lead 2 very good college teams.
I also reported

Not hating, I have CJ in fantasy and want him to ball out. And I'd genuinely like the Trailblazers to be good because I really like Dame, but your defense is just too bad to really advance far.

To become a brand on the same level as the Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, and Knicks. To be talked about even during the down years. The college freshman class really is dogshit outside of Zion. It’s been a while since I can remember so many sophomores like Ja Morant, Culver, and Hunter quickly moving up so high in the lottery when they’d have been at best late end first rounders if they declared last year.
And that’s not a knock on any of those 3 guys in particular, it’s completely understandable why they were getting underlooked as freshman since the 2018 draft was stacked as fuck, I’m more just making the observation that this year’s freshmen are such scrubs that a bunch of late holdovers from last year are taking a wet shit on them.

Is /nba/ going to pre-order The Wizenard??
Luka and Robinson are elite everyone else is a bust
>The West Bottom Badgers are the worst youth basketball team in the league. That is until one summer when a new coach gives them the chance to change everything. Rolabi Wizenard and his magical coaching techniques cover offense, defense, individual strengths and weaknesses, and physical conditioning. Through basketball, he shows his players that working at each of these will not only make them stronger physically, but also mentally and emotionally. The Badgers players - Rain, Twig, Cash, Lab, and Peño - each have their own story, their own challenges, and their own fears. Over the course of a two-week basketball camp, we get to know each character and their struggles, where they've come from, and where they are going. Each story teaches readers empathy, the understanding that there are multiple sides to every story, and that accepting our differences will help us become better friends as well as better athletes.
pretty cringe tbqh
So can someone please tell me why people unironically think AD is one of the top players in the league when Randle and Okafor can also throw up similar crazy eye-popping stats in Alvin Gentry’s system? If anything the Pelicans have actually looked better without AD recently.
He has continually never been able to win shit during his entire career in New Orleans, you can’t tell me someone who was actually a top 10 or so player in the league couldn’t at least take a team with Jrue Holiday as point guard to the playoffs consistently. The guy is a fraud.

He will be a curse for whatever team gets him. The NBA doesn't really use bigs anymore.
Because he looks like an athletic freak and makes the highlight blocks and fast break dunks
See you in the finals, Warriors.
Because he's a second fiddle. He's a great player but not a great winner and a leader.
Let's be honest, no one will respect a man with a unibrow like that. It's goddamn comical
looks like this is the end of /nba/
Nah, more like Luka and Robinson are having freakishly good production for a couple of rookies, while most everyone else is doing just about as well as you’d expect for a 1st year player.
Knox and Sexton are the only 2 in genuine bust territory on that chart, Trae Young’s placement isn’t all that concerning when you take in account he’s been way better recently, and getting dragged down by his poor early season performance. Ayton’s location is actually very good, and would win ROTY in a lot of years.
all according to the jannies plans
he doesn't have a ntc but thats a sweet offer tho.

it works well for both sides imo
What is peculiar is that he doesn't have any playmaking ability whatsoever.
Will the crowd boo the Celtics for losing to Damian Lillard?
It's clear that the trade rumors shook the Celtics' lockerroom and thus they don't give a shit anymore if everyone else but Kyrie is expendable.
Kyrie is expendable because he's seen as having a bad attitude.
it's clear the celtics play better without kyrie. then add hayward just eating minutes not doing anything
No way bombston lose to the fucking Blazers
what did he mean by this?
>Ainge wants to trade for AD but Kyrie has to get a new contract first this off-season (MUH ROSE RULE)
IFF Kyrie opts-out and gives the Celtics the first dibs on negotiating a new contract, would Ainge max him out or let him walk?
>Forgetting that they lost to the fucking Suns and Knicks at home AND blowing big leads against the Clippers and Lakers
He'll become Boogie Cousins 2.0 and continues to chimp out as the Suns keep losing while collecting his big boy paycheck starting next year
Rick Barry with the shot boy

>IFF Kyrie opts-out and gives the Celtics the first dibs on negotiating a new contract, would Ainge max him out or let him walk?
It all depends on how Kyrie seems to play in the post season. If he ends up feeling disconnected from the team I'm sure Danny will let him go.
> Injury report for tonight’s game at Miami: DeMarcus Cousins (load management - Achilles recovery)
Since when did the league start using the word load management? What happened to explicitly saying REST
That’s not peculiar, that’s normal for a big man. There are really only 2 bigs in the league who possess legitimate playmaking ability: Jokic and Giannis, and it shouldn’t be surprising at all that they are also the only 2 bigs who seem to significantly impact their team’s winning %.
All these other overhyped star big men like Embiid, AD, and KAT with more traditional playstyles are not nearly as valuable as their stats indicate. Giannis and Jokic are the only ones who aren’t eye-candy and can actually carry a team to wins.
>What happened to explicitly saying REST
It's been under heavy scrutiny when coaches rest their stars.
You see the value in players like Capela that are switchable, block shots and catch lobs for teams with good guards? Well AD is that to another level that can do a whole bunch of other shit. Don't sleep on him, he's no alpha or "best player on championship team" kinda guy but he's a beast. Would be even more so taking a backseat on a good team
Just as a general rule, any player who’s scoring production mostly comes from iso or transition points is stat-padding cancer which includes most star bigs.
Zach Lowe on AD
>There is no denying the importance of this story. Any trade over the next year involving Davis might be the single most important trade of an NBA veteran since the Lakers acquiredKareem Abdul-Jabbarfrom Milwaukee in 1975.
>Still, those aren't the same as real trades. Let's look at some post-Kareem trades that might measure up:
>Charles Barkleywon the MVP in his first season after Philadelphia traded him to Phoenix, and led the Suns to their second appearance in the NBA Finals. He also turned 30 that season. Davis is 25.
>The Thunder tradingJames Hardenis a flashbulb NBA moment. Harden had just turned 23. He is a perennial MVP candidate. But I'm not sure even the most bullish Harden optimists thought he could bethisgood
>None of thePaul George,Dwight Howard,Carmelo Anthony,Pau Gasol,Clyde Drexler, Shaq-to-Miami, Jason Kidd (to the Nets), Deron Williams,Jimmy Butler, orDeMarcus Cousinsdeals quite fit. Howard might actually come the closest; he was a year removed from finishing runner-up in MVP when the Magic traded him to the Lakers. But the endless, candy-addled Dwightmare stained his reputation, and the injury problems that eventually derailed him started toward the end of his final season in Orlando. Don't sleep on the Nets adding 28-year-old Kidd, either.
>Kevin Garnett was 31 when the Celtics acquired him from Minnesota. They got one-and-a-half seasons of MVP-level play and a championship before Garnett suffered a leg injury jumping for an alley-oop in Utah in February 2009.
I think it's mostly because he's putting up Milwaukee Kareem numbers and he's only 25.
Laugh at the Suns while you still can, I am completely unironically serious when I say all they need is a good point guard, and it’s immediately a playoff team.
The reason why they have probably been holding off on adding even a decent one is so they can deliberately keep tanking and rack up a bunch of latent talent in the draft before deciding to get one to put all the pieces together. It’s gonna be exactly like what happened right before Nash joined the Suns where a team loaded with talent like Joe Johnson, Amar’e, and Shawn Marion was at the bottom of the league but then suddenly transformed in to one of the best teams overnight after getting a good PG.

Sexton is shooting over 40% on his threes and over 85% on his free throws. He's going to be fine. Rookie point guards have to deal with a lot more shit than bigs/forwards. Larry Drew is running Sexton through so many variants of the PnR when he came out of college labeled as a "shoot first" guard. I've had my eye on the Cavs because of Sexton and I can tell you he's going to be fine, not a bust.
If you put Lonzo in the east with some okay shooters, he would be good. His biggest problem is actually that he obviously can't shoot, but more that he can't stay healthy. But there are situations where he would be a good fit.
Milwaukee has had 7 different starting line ups this season.
Toronto has had 15...

But I will say the Lakies could use a good rebounder for obvious reasons
Kareem didn't make the playoffs his last 2 years in Milwaukee.
Anthony Davis had an MVP tier season last year. Don't believe me? Look up the god tier stretch he had February onwards to drag the Pelicans to the playoffs.
And yeah of course AD hasn't won a title yet. Look how good the league is. You can't deny he is similar to Kareem and is putting up almost identical numbers at age 25.
they're going to form voltron
My rapshits :)
What Zach Reddit is failing to understand is the fact that around-the-basket bigs in the days of Kareem, Barkley, and KG had a much larger ability to impact on the game than they do in this modern age of position-less memechucking.
This is an astonishing double digit take by Lowe to insist that decades old examples of Kareem and Barkley are better evidence of what’ll happen than the more recent examples of Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, and KG (whom I don’t buy stopped being as good because of the injury, the game was already starting to pass him by before that) seeing a huge drop in their stat-padding numbers after they stop being a big fish in a small pond.
I'm sure Zach knows more than you kiddo.
Not an argument

Actually Lonzo would be such a perfect fit on the Suns it’s not even funny. They already have a bunch of good shooters, they need somebody who can defend at an elite level and orchestrate plays for the offense, literally the definition of what Lonzo is as a player.
If (and they probably will) the lakers make the playoffs they will be a threat in the playoffs...
can the nuggets hang on to the #2 seed? do they have a chance at #1? I'd love to see them as the #1 since it'd give them a better shot at GS.
>can the nuggets hang on to the #2 seed?
OKC will eat shit throughout their remaining schedule so probably
>do they have a change at #1
probably not, they have to play the warriors twice and will probably only beat them once, maybe if they get really lucky and play warriors on off days

Yeah comparing AD to any actual NBA legend is straight up trashfire bullshit. The only young player in the league who can even come close to having their name mentioned in the conversation of an all time great big man right now is Giannis.
AD has accomplished absolutely nothing in the category of greatness except throw up winless stats year after year and suffer a bunch of booboos. I’m tired of people propping up this fraudulent faggot like he’s one of the best players in the league when he’s been fundamentally unable to achieve the actual goal of basketball which is to win fucking games.
That's probably true too although how do you get him there? Are the Suns going to trade their core or their awesome draft picks for a guy that's hurt for their entire playoff push?
But I do agree he's a tad underrated on this board, and he makes the Suns a playoff threat if he's healthy.
They won't and they aren't.
>Cap it.
And yet they have almost the same record. I bet if Kawhi didn’t rest back to backs they would have 50+ wins already.
Milwaukee is a trash fraud team.
Those podcasts are great. I find it funny as fuck how Gil disagrees with the host on literally everything. The host will make a basic point and Gil always finds a way to disagree. It's fucking hilarious.
Deeper bench and Kawhi's load being managed. When it comes to playoffs, the Raptors better not trying playing 11 men. Coach bud knows better.

Unless the lottery lands them in a position to draft Ja Morant or Zion, their first rounder isn’t actually worth too much to consider trading it for Lonzo + maybe some additional stuff like a pick swap or something to make it a sensible trade.
There are really only 2 good targets in the upcoming draft if you need a good point guard: Ja Morant, and a guy named Darius Garland who is projected to go somewhere roughly around 7-14 in the draft and was having a very nice season early in college, but tore his meniscus and would be a somewhat of a high risk gamble.
If I was the Suns, I’d without a doubt keep the pick if I can select Ja Morant, but I’d be open to a discussion about moving it in some way to acquire Lonzo if my pick didn’t fall in the top 2-3. They simply don’t need anything besides a PG, and Lonzo would sooner make them a good team than adding another player who’s primary skill is scoring.
not allegiance, just stating facts, kiddo.
the last time a non-Lebron East team won the NBA title was the Chicago Bulls in 1998, Jordan's last year with the team.

>the last time a non-Lebron East team won the NBA title was the Chicago Bulls in 1998
Fair enough, though Lebron was in the league at the time and those teams had to go through him to get there.
I think Barrett has much more potential than Wiggins since I actually see him try on the other areas of his offensive game whereas wiggins never gave any effort towards anything other than chucking. The difference will be whether Barrett can actually develop an offensive game outside of driving to the left.
Reddish has proven he can be a fantastic option in this league but you better not drafting him expecting a team leader.
But yeah I think this draft will be one star in Zion and a bunch of solid role players.
What the fuck is this idiot talking about
What are some good podcasts
should've said "an East team that didn't have Lebron on it/had to play against LBJ"
He can literally do everything you want from a big man outside of maybe being a great facilitator in the same vein as Horford or Jokic. He can defend gaurds on the PNR, run the rim, space the floor, post, and doesn't suffer from the lack of speed that other post do.
He's literally the prototype modern big man. Everything you would want times 2
Sexton just hasn't proven he can be the kind of guy you want running your offense, he has intangibles but you're not getting away with being a starting pg at 2 assists a game and combo guards are usually only relevant if they can be in a impact 6 man role.
Based
Now that the era of Lebron is over, who takes over as the face of the NBA? Giannis?
It's a reasonable plan, but if I'm Suns GM I'm more worried about giving up that early pick (or a sign and trade) for Lonzo when his ceiling is pretty well known. I just think if he doesn't work out you get fired, but when the pick player doesn't work out you're probably okay.
AD is not a good passer he's a scorer and shot blocker
Based janny killed the spammer, put some respeck on his name
>similar
Kys
Yeah I'm not nearly as concerned about Young as I was early in the season, outside of his passing that shooting was freakishly bad. Ayton would be clear ROTY if it wasn't for the big D.
A lot of the other players in this draft have proven they belong in the league, the question is say will a player like Bagley or JJJ be able to take the all star leap, is SGA going to be able to remain a perennial starter in the league etc.
Steph
(maybe KD)
*Nuggets
It's the kino finals
Nice going jannies
Giannis will be tough, he literally hasn't won a single thing yet
On this date, 6 years ago Steph Curry scored 54 against the knicks at MSG
On this date, 3 years ago Steph Curry scored the BANG, BANG shot against OKC
Steph Curry is the best player in the league
Don’t @ me
Zach Lowe is a top tier analyst and provides plenty of evidence including clips and advanced stats for his takes. Not only that he regularly makes a few outlandish predictions at the beginning of the season just for fun and they come back correct.
The Celtics have the worst fanbase of any NBA team.
You are right
Weird way to spell Kevin Durgod...
No serious person disagrees. Although it might actually, unironically be KD and don't @ me.
It is actually KD tho
KD still has to prove he can be the best player on a championship team
So......we're all watching this right now right?
I said he does everything but facilitate the ball, hopefully he develops that but probably not.
If you look at post players who suddenly start being known as facilitators you'll notice they were actively trying to move the ball early in their career but didn't have the touch to thread the needle leading to turnovers i.e Nurkic. I don't think AD possesses the desire to make those reads but we'll see.
He has two FMVPs leaf
Best right now is Giannis obviously followed by Jokic who are both 24 years old. However most “valuable” I would have to predict is Luka Doncic slightly edging out Giannis when you take in account what he’s doing at his age + contract status.
I think if you were to ask every GM around the league which player contract they’d soonest take if they could pick any one, most would say either Luka or Giannis with slightly more people leaning Luka just because of his cheaper longer contract.
Certainly the most offensively efficient, ridiculously so. You can argue KD though since he's not far behind and his defense is miles better thanks to his length and speed.
I do love the Lebron cucks who pretend he is miles ahead of Curry in defense. Having the capability to defend clearly doesn't translate to desire. And when he does his "mastermind" roaming on defense he just reminds me of when rondo would forget his man on defense because he was to busy gambling for a passing lane steal. Also, he is the shittiest excuse of a help defender I've ever seen. He knows where to be but simply pretends like he's playing help defense without actually being in an area to impact the ball.
Literally means nothing on a team as stacked as the warriors
Can you boil this down to one sentance please? Like on a bumper sticker.
Lmao Royce White is trying to get into MMA
Yeah it's pretty neck and neck with them in terms of potential. If giannis can develop a three there would be no question as to who the best player in the league is, Luka just has to prove that his average athleticism won't cause him to plateau (it won't)
link?
Gonna double my life savings betting against his soft, flabby ass
Ben Simmons after he declines his option, moves to LA, and learns all he can from his mentor, becoming LeBron 2.0
Meant to reply to
More like a worse Lamar Odom
Curry’s been the face of the NBA for 4 years now
What’s his ceiling?
I love curry but I actually believe hes regressing already
>Curry is the most offensively efficient
KD is arguably more efficient though. His FG% is higher, he takes more close shots and hits them more often. They are slightly different types of player obviously.
Imagine being 6'10" and not attacking the basket when the defense backs off to the free throw line. Westbrook is 6'4" and averages more assists than Simmons because Westbrook is an actual threat in the paint. Ben Simmons needs that killer mentality if he wants to be LeBron tier. Not that pansy, pass around the perimeter to a guy coming off a screen shit. He plays like a YMCA player. It's horrible how Brett Brown is using him. I want to see Ben taking 30 shots a game.
Unironically Kevin Garnett
He hit it
It will certainly be one of the more memeish Lakers teams in a while.
4th best player on a championship team. Could be an all star.
That's why he needs to learn firsthand from LeTeammate, LeTrainer, and LeCoach.
>broke his career best 7 times already this ceiling
>hurr he’s not getting any better
You’re just buttmad that your team missed out on him, he’s better than Tatum and Ingarbage by a metric mile and he’s still improving. He shoots the 3, he dominates in the paint, he posts up and does jump shots, he defends spectacularly. He will be a perennial all star.
He isn't wired like KG and doesn't have his defensive skillset.
why the fuck doesn't shaq say BBQ CHICKEN ALERT anymore?
Well I'm just talking from the stand point that a 3 is more efficient than a 2 and his TS% is obscene, I'd have to look in to more to see if KD matches him. I might be underrating K-God
Are you shitting me dude, have you even watched Siakam play? He’s crazy on defense.

I honestly hope for the sake of having a competive league Giannis doesn’t actually consider going to Dallas in free agency in a few years to form a superteam with Luka like Curry and Durant did. I thought that might have been interesting scenario a few months ago, but since then they have both clearly established themselves as being way too good to be joining forces with each other and should rightfully be competing against one another.
Both of them got drafted out of college
I'd rather see Giannis-Jokic-whoever than Giannis-Luka-Porzingis core
>sports analyst before a game: "team abc will come out of the east"
>after the game: "from what i saw last night, team xyz is my pick to come out of the east"
what the fuck is the point of these dudes
I wouldn't worry about that, Giannis has that mamba mentality and hates other superstars. He wouldn't even work out with those phonies in the summer.
As a Dallas fan I sincerely hope we do get Giannis, especially since Cuban completely fucked it considering Nelson begged him to draft Giannis instead of clearing space for FA
based
It's okay I checked for you. Steph has a better 3% by just a tad, but KD takes enough high percentage 2's to edge him out overall.
But these two are like 1a and 1b no matter how you do it

He said he's going to be an all star next year no matter what team he's on

>you know what, boston has that deep, talented team. kyrie can take over in the 4th quarter
celtics get btfo
>celtics just aren't as good as last year, they've regressed. kyrie isn't a leader.
it's just constant prisoner-of-the-moment shit
Kd to lakies confirmed!
Tatum isn't as good as he or the normies think he is
They're actually saying he's the C's most "valuable asset" as a player, coming from the FO allegedly
Understandable, the Celtics do a good job of making Tatum look good when his ceiling is closer to Rudy Gay than any superstar.
>literally seething that Tatum is way superior to Ingbust, Kuzbust and Lonzbust
COPE
I'm sure they're gaming everyone but this also makes sense when you factor in that Kyrie wants to leave.
Not a Lakers fan but Tatum is not better than Kuzma lol
The only one who seems to know his shit, is that guy Nick Wright
lol faggot
>can't play defense at all
Kuzma is like IT but taller and somehow worse on D
based
celtics fan here and hate to admit but brandon ingram is better than tatum
Ingarbage only looks good because the rest of his team is so bad
Nobody would care about Tatum or Kuzma if they didn't play for a big market team
I don't talk to dogfuckers
>I don't talk to dogfuckers
Tatum is top 20 in DefEff. and the 90th percentile of offensive efficient.
Kuzma is neither.
It’ll depend on whether the Bucks can legitimately compete for a championship with their current core before Giannis becomes a free agency.
Giannis is in the honeymoon phase right now with fans and analysts. The moment he starts not getting it done in the playoffs, people are gonna come down on him like a hammer like they did with Durant and LeBron. I can see the guy getting frustrated enough that he leaves to go somewhere he’d win a ring, and in that case, it’s obvious that Dallas would probably be where he’d go given how they’ve set themselves up nicely with drafting Luka, trading for KP, and opening up room to sign a big free agent this off-season, and STILL be perfectly able to go after Giannis in a few years assuming they don’t re-sign any of their current players they have besides KP beyond the year that Giannis becomes a free agent.
Great NBA players are usually stuck between 1 of 3 dilemmas of putting up HoF stats (Easier to statpad on a shit team), simply winning a championship (easier to win a championship on a stacked team), and winning a championship which actually impresses people and endeares fans to you (think Dirk 2011, LeBron 2015).
If Ingram played for your Rapties you would be on hear saying he's a damn hall of famer
LMAO the Raptors wouldn't waste the 2nd pick on Ingram are you fucking stupid
Source: my ass
Siakam is literally better than Ingarbage, I would rather Siakam on the Raptors any day of the week
KP is fucking done. He is never going to be 100% healthy again and his game is overrated anyway.

That wasn't the question
The Nuggies are still 2nd in the west. I thought they were gonna collapse and fall just like the Clippers? :^)
just think, there are literally thousands of Embiids and Siakams just walking around in west africa. Why don't more teams have GMs with african connections?

I think Giannis is watching the Lebron situation and staying in the east. He doesn't feel like the guy who needs a flashy lifestyle in the West.

to this point, he literally had a garage sale and started pawning off his stuff for no reason lmao
I love the guy

Giannis is doesn't have to hop teams to chase rings, he is going to himself start attracting chasers like a light in the darkness attracts moths. Doubt he leaves the Bucks until his prime is over.

Im 100% leaving Serbia

the celtics didn't have a superteam though
Brad Stevens alone is enough to get them to the playoffs in the east
Will do
I don't think it matters. I've never thought that highly of Kyrie honestly. I don't think Boston is worse off without him necessarily but I think by losing him, you lose that star power sort of vibe that would help Davis come to Boston
He's being really positive though
Is there any reason behind it? It's so specific that there must be.
That's what I said
you can't fail if you don't have it in the first place
Rose never deserved MVP
They failed to make one is what I meant fucking flip stop it
Whats going on with the leaf shit posters tonight? is there some kind of hockey game or curling right now?
Ainge's strategy has been leading up to this moment for the past 5-6 seasons. If he fails to deliver in the most crucial of moments, it will have all been for naught. He will have failed to complete his strategy. He had a great strategy but it was risky. If it works, Boston will be competing for titles for 4-5 years. If it doesn't the C's are back to square 1.
PS I'm a Celtics fan
All because he wouldn't trade Tatum
Like half of the MVPs honestly don't deserve it.
It’s not about living a flashy lifestyle, it’s about actually winning a championship. Like the Bucks have an admittedly decent built core with Giannis, Bledsoe, Middleton, Mirotic, and Brogdan, but let’s not pretend that any of those players besides Giannis are actually HoF or all-time great worthy players. The dude is gonna have to fight tooth and nail to win a championship while dealing with the ever-growing temptation of envisioning a perspective team of Luka/KP/Giannis/(some free agent Dallas signs this season) if he doesn’t get a ring.
If he wins a championship during this 3 year window before he becomes an FA, I have almost no doubt he stays in Milwaukee, but he’s about to expierence what it’s like to deal with actual expectations and people shitting on him if he doesn’t win, and at the end of all this in 3 years when he becomes a free agent will be a Bucks team where Middleton and Bledsoe are already in their 30s and presumably still under contract during a year where the Bucks probably won’t have much of any cap room to add anybody given naturally predicted financial obligations required to keep their current team together long term.
I like your analysis.
I agree with it. I'd love to see Giannis remain in Milwaukee. I think he fits well there. But if Milwaukee can't execute and build around him, that dude is gone.
This is what will happen to some of the players in this upcoming offseason, my main concern is who will the Bucks keep / let go and will they make the mistake of giving Middleton a huge payday IFF he opts out and gets a new contract? (he might be worth all-star money, but definitely not superstar money similar to Tobias Harris' vein)
Player Option: Middleton
UFA: Bledsoe, Mirotic, and Lopez
RFA: Brogdan
these piece of shit "fans" and media are asking pro athletes and coaches to lose on purpose to have some more % to get a pick. yall niggers make me sick in the stomach. keep this sort of shit out of sports.

I mean, respect to the Raptors, but this nigga serious?
His job is to have hot takes
He is hot take artist after all

Brogdan will get better than Marcus Smart money, so $17-$20 per year. Middleton will ask for the max knowing the Bucks can't attract anyone better and get it. Mirotic should get little less than Brogdan. Lopez and Bledsoe are shit.
He looks like the lovechild of Kelly Olynyk and Luke Walton

>my main concern is who will the Bucks keep / let go and will they make the mistake of giving Middleton a huge payday IFF he opts out and gets a new contract? (he might be worth all-star money, but definitely not superstar money similar to Tobias Harris' vein)
This is a scenario which is completely out of the question. There is this team called the Mavs which has conveniently opened up enough cap room this off-season to throw a max at whomever they want. This team ALSO is not so subtly trying to bait Giannis to come there. So what is the rational option for them?
The Mavs are gonna at the very least toss a max at Middleton at the very moment free agency opens up because it’s a win-win scenario for them regardless of whether he goes to Dallas or the Bucks match. The Bucks can’t sign anybody major even if they don’t match Middleton, so they’ll be forced to match or else it’s bye bye Giannis. THEN they might even consider running up the price on Brogdan to a certain amount to completely lock them in to unfavorable contracts after the Bucks are forced to match the Middleton offer because the Mavs aren’t actually concerned with going after any of the real major free agents. Their real target after all this is Julius Randle who is from Dallas and has expressed a huge interest in playing there, so he’ll wait patiently while Dallas messes with the Bucks finactial situation knowing they’ll toss him a big contract at the end of this and he’ll get to play in a place he actually wants to be.
Warriors just tryna cruise to the playoffs, having to deal with these 8 seed teams going all out, must be annoying
U know how it goes
Kings gonna lead first 3q than procede to choke in last few minutes

Yeah he deserved all of it.
3 point shooting became a factor only after 2012-13 season which is also the last time Lebron won the MVP. The mental gymnastics you are performing because you can’t stand strong men/non shooters win is hilarious.
Btw, Greek freak will win this year and he doesn’t shoot 3s. Suck it up.
The celtics are actually playing 4-D chess. They realized that philly isn't catching indiana so they've decided to tank into the 6th seed to avoid being a first round exit.

Man, 3 point shooters/Analytics babies weak men never predicted this. They thought 6’7 men with muscles can’t shoot beyond the arc and now everyone can do it leading to all the weak players who only shoot 3s to be less unique and go extinct now.
It’s hilarious. Analytics actually thought spacing the floor, playing small ball and increasing the pace will not lead to dunking coming back with a vengance.
Suck it up mate. Greek freak/Harden is the future of the NBA now. And try to understand how the game works.
the lakers
>they wont make the playoffs

HAHAHA. I’ll spell it out for you.
3 point shooting leads to dunking/inside game coming back.
Hence, why Derrick rose is back. He’s shooting less 3s than he did in his MVP season.

3 point shooting is cancer i wish they got rid of it because the nba is a glorified sissy chucking sport.

Watching rich spoiled brats play against each other even though they're buddy buddy just removes the competitive spirit. Real niggas from the ghetto like Pat Beverley play with the intention of killing you because it's what keeps them on the court. If you ain't first you last.
There's just too much job security in the NBA to bother being passionate and putting your body on the line for it now. Who cares about legacy when you can play ball for fun and secure the bag? GSW was just the nail in the coffin.

>If everyone shoots 3s, the inside is left wide open
This. Before GSW got figured out, you would often find that they had many wide open looks right under the rim because of their cutting and spacing that their 3 point threat creates.
And it takes someone like Giannis, who would be a street urchin if not for his freak brody, to see how wrong it is to work out with opposing players in the offseason.
