Skiers get exposed to a lot of sunlight even without tanning beds. And a lot of them probably don't use sunscreen during winter. Also sun exposure gets worse when you go higher up and they spend a lot of time training at altitude. Combine that with having really low body fat % and you suddenly have people who look a lot older than they really are. Gets even worse if they regularly go outside without sunglasses and end up squinting to not get blinded.

Sure but that’s no excuse not to wear sunscreen. I live a very active outdoor/sports lifestyle at about 1500-2000m in a geographic area with almost 300 days of sun and I don’t have that problem. Neither do the women in the sporting community here that protect themselves.
I’m familiar with Norway and there’s definitely a “tanning culture” (just as there is in certain areas of the US). Imo it’s a big problem and driven by US imported nigger culture via tv/social media etc. Its very sad to see people ruin their skin at such a young age.

Pro athletes aren't usually the smartest bunch of people. Yes there is no excuse for not wearing sunscreen but try telling that to bunch of young, mostly uneducated, young women who are really fucking good at what they do. It's sad that they don't necessarily understand what they're exposing themselves to and we should try doing something about it.
Also sunscreen doesn't prevent tanning. I'm a cyclist and while I haven't been outside without long sleeves since September I've still got clear tan lines on my arms and and legs even when I wear sunscreen every time I go riding without long sleeves.
People react differently to sunlight. Some people get tanned real fast and others stay white no matter how much sunlight they get, some people just get burnt if they see the sun.

You see we don't usually need sunscreen to not get burnt. Scandis don't normally need sunscreen outside of the yearly trip to Thailand to prevent burning. It's natural that white people living in the north don't use sunscreen as much because it isn't absolutely needed.

Another two rounds of ski jumping training rounds today. Peier and Stoch were the top dogs yesterday, Peier finishing first and second and Stoch third and first. Will be interesting to see whether they will jump at all today given how well it went yesterday.
Stefan Kraft and the Austrian team will also start their training jumps today. Could Lahti and Willingen have only been bad competitions from Kraft, or has he really lost his best shape? He seemed really frustrated with his technique and power in Willingen, but Bergisel is his home hill, so I wouldn't count him out of the medal competition yet.
Ryoyu was strong yesterday, but lacked his usual flair. Could just be that he's saving the best jumps for the competition, we'll see.

also did you ever noticed how Herrmann have men's uphill technique in Canmore and Utah? when she goes to slight uphil, she climbs like men do, pushing her arms at each(right and left separately) leg's move, no one in female biathlon does that, only Herrmann is teached to to so OR only Herrmann have enough lungs and muscules to do so.
btw Kaisa never does this techiqnue(because) but she seems to be as fast on uphills as Herrmann, though i might be wrong
