Didn't disappoint me, they sound fucking amazing on it. I don't think it's 13 years of waiting good, but still a solid collection of songs

Massive, spacious , melodic, rhythmic, heavy, atmospheric, etc. and it all pretty much revolves around 1 simple guitar part and everything else changes around it

Adams riffs are so fucking uninspired I almost wish Danny and Justin sounded bad because I wouldnt feel like there was so much missed potential.

Its like the album was made by a tool AI that went thru all their old albums and programmed a new one

The instrumentations on Fear Inoculum are actually pretty bland compared to their previous work. And back then the miniature journeys had a payoff, I feel like the ones on this album are just nothings that lead to nowhere, then it moves on to the next track. It's the first album of theirs where Danny Carey doesn't impress me and Maynard has zero presence. None of their lyrics or riffs stick out to me this time, even though I've got it on full repeat since release. Whereas I've only had to listen to their old albums once or twice before they clicked instantly. I guess if unimpressive drumming and ambience is your thing, this can somehow be """"amazing"""" to you. When your standards are low everything can be.
