I've gathered from the experience I had with few of your songs today might this few second of attention might be a problem - it isn't that your style is a bit overplayed but it is because it lacks any substance which would differentiate your work from other similar sources of reference. Maybe changing up a bit, evolving rather than regressing your sound to those who already made similar music in the times past might help you gather some attention, some hook. Don't know if that would be a solution but it is worth experimenting, even if this won't be it at least you will have some experience gained from that. I do wish you well though. no offence or anything :)

The Sculptor is a top tier track, that little electric guitar lick is fantastic. Makes the whole song feel very open. Still need to sit down and listen to the whole record, but from what I've heard, the sculptor is my favorite

None taken. Honestly, I am starting to think my album is crap and I might just give up even attempting to get people to listen to it. The first song was a huge mistake as my voice sounds dissonant over the G7 chord. I can sing these songs well live, hold peoples attention easily and a few people who listen to the lyrics will notice that what I am doing is in fact very different and tell me so. Fuck, I made someone cry to Lay Your Brother Down, I felt a bit stunned when he told me but I am glad the song resonated with him.
Entertaining a few people in the flesh who like my songwriting isn’t a bad thing, I might never bother recording another album and just strictly play live.
