Name one (1) bad album from the list.

what’s going on? is based though

I see Rolling Stone is inflating the scores of black artists again

Slowhand
Saturday Night Fever

Pretzel Logic. Steely Dan is soulless shite

How about all the reggae?

All wrong answers except maybe Slowhand

Fuck you

Fun House. If I wanted to listen to a few retards throwing a tantrum for a half hour I'd actually spend some time with my kids.

Not really, the album is carried really hard by Right On, most of it is not great. Pieces of a Man would be a solid #1 choice, but it's Rolling Stone.

London Calling

it's a good boomer list, could've done with less Clapton in it and no Marvin Gaye record is better than Songs in the Key of Life but that's okay

>Horses at 16
Nice.

who cares

>97. Can - Tago Mago
might as well have just not included them at all, this is humiliating for their entire publication

that's a good list desu

t. granny muzak aficionado

No matter what was on the list you’d bitch and say you’re taste is better out of pure contrariasm

It’s all safe boomer shit. They pick things based on how catchy the hooks are.
Notice how little punk and post-punk there is on there even though that had much more influence on the sound of future music than almost any of the shit there.

What’s Going On is arguably the most overrated pop record of all times and I worship James Jamerson. There’s 2 songs here, maybe 3.

>Notice how little punk and post-punk there is on there even though that had much more influence on the sound of future music than almost any of the shit there.
Is it retard hours?

>Never Mind the Bollocks over Bitches Brew
hahaha, ok...

They put a punk album at #3 dawg

Who would win
a nigger with a deep knowledge of music theory and lush arrangements
or
four wh*tebois with 3 chords

wow, imagine picking the most influential albums first
also there are quite a few punk/post-punk albums on there
what are you missing??

I'd get rid of the Clash and drop Springsteen a couple notches. Also I'd put Paranoid on there instead of Sabbath S/T.

post-punk is ridiculously overrated and its influences is overrated by music nerds, due its (successful) marketing at the time as being an "intelligent" alternative to punk.
All of it innovations were either stolen from Captain Beefheart, or non-rock black music like dub.

Paranoid and S/T are both there

Literally one of them didn’t even know how to play Bass.

Do you ever get tired of bitching about how every music critic that exists is wrong and you're the only person in the world with good taste?

And he's only on two of the songs. Get your shit straight.

Yeah, Marquee Moon totally sounds like Captain Beefheart or dub music.

Kek

You’ve never listened to post-punk and have no idea what it is besides reading the article on Wikipedia. Most post-punk sounds nothing like Captain Beefheart or dub.

Are you fucking retarded?

>The Pop Group and Pere Ubu dont sound like Beefheart
Moron

>Namedrops two bands that aren't even on the list
Okay, you win. All post-punk really does sound like Beefheart and dub.

Gaye is very overrated

You said most post punk doesnt so i named 2 examples. Eat shit faggot

Go listen to the post-punk on the list. It sounds like the OPPOSITE of what Beefheart and dub were doing.

It’s very tight, intricate, and pretty

holy shit

That was me, not him.
Most doesn’t sound like dub or Beefheart. Consider the major progeny of the genre like Slint.
Sounds nothing like dub or Beefheart. It’s very clean, tight, and intricate

Fuck you, steely dan is the shit.

Slint is post-rock not punk.

Slint is mathrock, not post-rock.
You can hear how their sound originated in groups like Television though. It’s obvious

Jesus Christ you mongoloids are angry

Fuck you, Steely Dan is shit

where the fuck is Pere Ubu?
fucking boomers, can't wait for them all to die

>Rod Stewart

That is a really fucking good album, even if everything he's done since I shit

Slint is gothic country hardcore.

Har har

Fuck you

Har har

Fuck you

That album is kino

>0: King Crimson - Red
(Larks' is their best, but it's already on the list.)

Har har

Fuck you

If you enjoy any of these albums you should fuck off to reddit for being a pleb.

youre gonna forget inner city blues like that?

cant believe this album didnt make it. Literally one of the most influential albums ever.

>hurrdurr

yikes unknown pleasures at 96. might as well of never put it on this list.
