It's been 11 years since I last practiced. It's been about 18 months since I last picked up a guitar and thought "I should probably get back into this"
yeah that's not what I meant lmao. with your set-up you're still recording in mono, so to doubletrack you either have to record two takes on guitar, or use really janky shit methods to get stereo breadth (timeshifting one track slightly, or recording the same guitar take with two mics placed slightly differently on the amp). what I'm saying is >guitar >digital pedal with independent processing on stereo outs >each stereo out to a Malekko Sloika then >each Sloika to a separate amp >each amp mic'd separately >interface or >each Sloika to a separate in on an EHX LPB 2ube >each out on the 2ube to a separate in on the interface >tracks put thru cab sim in DAW
Gavin Bell
i just recorded two takes and panned them
Landon Lopez
Not this shit again
Logan Moore
She couldn’t get any worse, maybe daddy will buy her some lessons
Gabriel Brown
>two takes on guitar would sound better than your method
Sebastian Gomez
...
Noah Walker
Clairo's actually smart, or at least not dumb enough to get cucked by kakagoli

Can you post the tabs to the solo jazz guitar version?

That's not a D chord, it's a slash chord, a D with an alternative bass
Jason Barnes
it's called sus chord faggot
Joseph Reed
K A K A G O L I A K A G L I
Brody Young
Maybe it can be, but I personally know and learned it as a D/F#. Unless you think all sus chords are slash chords in which case I'm sorry for your mental retardation
>slash chords >not being Stones chords or kiss chords fuck off zoomer dont talk to me anymore
Jordan White
Clairo is the cutest thing I've ever seen. She is cuter than cats. She is so pure, god gave her arthritis so we don't mistaken her for a goddess and even though I still worship her. I hope no boy gets close to her and spoil her. I'm still jealous or the boy that made her wear skirts and used her. I hope he is imaginary and she is pure. Love her!
Wyatt Moore
She def has slurped many dicks
Connor Foster
It's definitely not a sus chord you fucking idiot. The notes are d f# a with f# being the third. A sus chord means the third is suspended. So there would be no f# and it would be replaced with a E or G for dsus2 and dsus4 respectively. As the other poster said that's a D with a f# in the bass.
Christian Martin
>tabs >jazz
Pick one or the other, buddy but you can’t have both
Gabriel Reyes
My mom got me a whammy bar and is making me use it.
I just realized the melody was slightly wrong. I copied from an old text file instead of a Word document so it would post and I forgot it had mistakes in it.

Should I get a Jaguar or Jizzmaster? I like the JM sound and the offset body shape but I also wanted a shorter scale so I can have a lower string tension with my gauges
Samuel Cook
Genuine question, how do I get the "le ebin generic clean soft indie rock" tone? I'm actually struggling.
Connor Lewis
this is the worst /gg/ ever
anyway anyone had experience fitting baritone neck to their guitar?
Jaxon Edwards
Get a SSS strat and a fender amp, set treble to 2, mids to 3 and bass to 2.
Jack Peterson
I'm going to sell my Ibanez and buy a guitar with the money. What's a good guitar for post-hardcore/math rock?
Hunter Cooper
Fender sonic duo
Caleb Bennett
get a HH Telecaster like a deluxe you can still get the sound of classic math rock/emo albums and still be able to make distortion pedals sound decent
She gives me the nasally jewish jersey mom vibe. Like thats who she will be in 10 years. Never even heard her music or voice
Liam Green
if it doesnt feel like sandpaper against your shoulder and dig into it or falls apart on you why complain about something as mundane as a strap
Jace Adams
No, the parts that weave through are uncomfortable on my shoulder, it's bumpy, maybe if it went on top of the wider part. I guess I'm the only one since these things keep selling.
this too, someone post a good strap Another problem the cheap ones have is weak button holes that wear out.
Connor Clark
Is that what my mom used on you?
Jack Phillips
it's been
one week :]
David Johnson
i became so stressed in my life and job, that i basically stopped playing. i focused more on playing sports after work as a stress relief. sitting alone in my apartment even playing is depressing. my career was going well but has gone downhill in the last 2-3 years. i may just quit and go back to school for a year and regroup. idunno.
As a Bassist I personally feel like its a bit intrusive on the rest of the band and could line up with with rhythm of the drums a bit better but if you think its good then all for you
Benjamin Roberts
Do you mean just the timing or something else? Yeah i hear the timing of the bass not lining up completely.
Nathan Mitchell
You guys are lucky Guitar is such a cheap hobby, photography is at least 10x more expensive.
Anyone else hate these kind of videos? Such a low effort way to get attention, and the format has been done in to the ground. Also this literal fedora neckbeard is clearly mad that not everyone likes jazz, however much he thinks the thin veil of "comedy" this video provides covers it. Why is it the pretentious people who do these joke music videos consisently have no charisma whatsoever
Also is he even that good (based on this) if we're being honest?
Ian Jackson
yeah such a low effort way. now go and cover that. dont need to come up with a part, just cover it.
Nathaniel Turner
He really isn't though. The meme that he is a guitarist can be dispelled by listening to his solos with the beatles, they're very laconic and not deliberately or in a way that is effective. He has a decent solo on maybe im amazed. I bet paul cant believe his luck how many overblown compliments he's managed to receive unanimously
He's a great bass player, singer and writer, that's it. Thats plenty talent to have and all of the praise is deserved
Joseph Mitchell
Yes he's good as fuck and all that other bullshit you're complaining about doesn't matter because that makes him entertaining to watch
Jackson Perez
I am by no means saying hes a bad bassist because he's a guitarist, the thing about him is that he understands the differences between the function of the bass as compared to that of a guitar. Instead of him thinking of a bass as just a guitar but bigger and an octave lower i imagine he sees the two as completely different instruments with different uses and functions, as they are. I see the problem with most guitar players using a bass is that they don't understand the difference in functions because they appear so similar on the surface
Joseph White
You really thought you said something smart, didn't you. It's low effort for him BECAUSE he's skilled. It's the type of video itself which is really unimaginative and has been done over and over
And always with wonderwall because making fun of that will get views from insecure or curious casual listeners. Yea, its an irritating song which was really killed by being overplayed, but is it really that worth obssessing over and making fun of to this degree? He couldnt think of anything funnier than a widely known unoriginal joke and hey, if he wants views, fine, but its still low effort.
Aiden Collins
But on my song i didnt play bass like a guitar. I played strummed chords on the guitar, and a funky bassline on the bass.
i dont care, you just dont like his video and i like, i enjoyed watching it, it sounded good and he did it out of a request
Asher Lee
Blues is great but its a love hate relationship because it's so so familiar and it gets boring sometimes
Eli Wright
Well thats fair enough if it was a request. Now can we move on to hating on that moron who does the "every guitarists first audition" and such videos?
Seen more comedy at a fucking funeral than that guy
Gabriel Lee
no, fuck off make your own retarded thread
Xavier Collins
Either you can take my given constructive criticisms or you can just ignore everything i say, its your choice man. Playing funk bass is more than just a bunch of syncopation and a lack of chords
John Foster
So what else is to it? It sounds like a bass line
Levi Lewis
You like touching monkey's genitals before you cook them up into a stew, Samuel?
I simply think it doesn't feel like one, it doesn't breathe and feels more like hyperventilating. If you like it keep it and don't ask about it and if you don't like what i have to say then ignore it
Caleb Lopez
i wish i was her
Wyatt Richardson
can you record an example of a more fitting bassline then
Xavier Martin
Practice until you sense the skin on your fingers about to break. Stop. Wait a couple days. Repeat. You'll develop strong callouses this way. Your new callouses will just peel off if you overdo it, so don't overdo it. That's why I said stop, wait a couple days above. You'll be able to play pain-free for hours and hours once you build up good callouses.
Isaiah Jenkins
Super glue your little girls fingers and start jamming them into the fretboard.
Hudson Long
You all reek of insecurity in this general.
Charles Hall
Blues is shit but it's a genre because plebs love it.
Jason Gonzalez
that's not what your mom said in my bed last night...
Hudson Martin
You reek of adequacy and tone. Show us your les paul daddy.
Oliver Morris
A while back I attended a workshop about music theory. There was a mexican guy and a brazilian guy there, both seemed like nice enough guys. But anyway at one point black sabbath's paranoid was playing (something about the progression of pop) and they literally started headbanging. Only them. I am amazed at how deep this shit goes. Why south america, why do they care so much
And what I can't believe even more is that out of all the stories i've told on this site, this is one of the real ones.
Josiah Phillips
Headbanging absolutely has to cause CTE. There's no way it can't.
Andrew Baker
yeah tryhards are cringe
Hudson Roberts
Why aren't musicians great actors too? Can't they be good looking, fit, funny, fantastic sketch writers, and video editors all at the same time?!?
Parker Reyes
lmao that's like basic life skills now go back to smoking weed all day
Henry Cox
too funny to be real, but thanks
Wyatt Hernandez
You just described Clairo
Adrian Myers
I used to work with a Brazilian dude who loved Down and Pantera more than anything in the world. I heard he passed away few weeks ago.
Ian King
Not currently, mane
Robert Ross
what was the brazilan's skin color
Ethan Hill
dont man up instead go full baroqe and buy gut strings for you autistic
Guitarist/Photographer here. Photography has a much, much lower skill ceiling than guitar. Once you understand what ISO, F-stops, and exposure time are photography isn't a very difficult hobby aside from just getting decent shots of shit. Most of the time I shoot with a wide aperture and lowest ISO as possible. That's fucking it, that's all you need to do to be good photograher. It's nothing like learning an instrument.
Henry Gray
Can I do professional photos with a smartphone (S5)?
I want to make photo sessions for escorts so they pay me with sex
Christian Jones
So you own a squire and play power chords?
Hudson Gonzalez
You can, but Smartphones will always have a much smaller aperture than a DSLR so you will never be able to get as much dynamic range. Newer Smartphone OS' try to fake it through "digital enhancement" and machine learning fuckery to add back in some color and de-noise the image from a higher ISO but it will never be the same. Again, if the shot is great and the lighting is good, you can get away with a smartphone. It's just not as ideal
Ryan Adams
I actually don't own an electric guitar yet but plan on getting one soon. Currently play a Yamaha nylon string
Xavier Phillips
how to get that Weezer sound?
Hudson Wright
sounds shrilly as my eko-jackson which is a treblecaster made with an ash body, fr and ceramic high gain pick ups from china.
Jose Ortiz
Why isn't he offset body shape more popular? It's easily the best.
Camden Butler
Lmao checks out
Hunter Allen
Cameras are a much more expensive hobby
Isaiah Watson
my eko was an offset but currently its a spare part for my jackson body.
Sorry friendo, but you're here posting on a faceless anonymous message board also. You're probably here trying to master the craft of guitar playing or clinging to your last shred of social exchange.
Well I hate to break it to you. We now live in a world where only the those that master looks, athleticism, arts, and sciences will be allowed to be shown publicly let alone procreate. Your creations are slowly be removed from all sources of social media including here (I hope you're on an onion browser). I also hope you have a sizable inheritance, because poorfags will die of simple attrition.
I suggest you start trying to fit in a be successful. Your first task is to quit 4channel.
Xavier Ross
i have a job thanks
Brody Gonzalez
Half the indie bands I know play offsets all the time
What's a good alternative for a Twin Reverb? I adore it's sound but my main issue is how heavy and loud they are. Is there something that captures that sound but manages to be lightweight enough to be carried around and be quiet enough for a bedroom player to be able to play on it without waking up my neighbors?
Robert Thomas
Oh yes, the working class will build the great foundation to the monument the Rosicrucian emperors. Keep refreshing. 9-5 oh wait you're a real working boy 6-5 click more content, make great 4channel posts 6-5 again and repeat
Mason King
yes a multifx
Austin Hughes
solid state
Nathan Phillips
Not falling for the tube meme.
Henry Gray
you're describing yourself and wording as if it's me
Alexander Sanchez
You're pretending I want to have an exchange of dialog with you.
Maybe you've internalized how worthless anyone here really is. Just play any of the clyps if you haven't.
Carson Anderson
yeah you dont, thats why you keep replying with excessively long posts
Ethan Bell
>engineer refuses to give discount for me to record and edit all the guitar and bass DIs >charges a flat rate Guy is about to seriously regret this when we make him track us since it's the same price and he learns it takes us about five hours to get through each song
Bentley Powell
make him regret it
Brody Martin
one of the rhythm guitars is with the pickups splitted
If a chord goes in a key, does any variant of that chord also work in that key? Like if E minor is in the chord, will E minor add 9th or something still work?
Eli Martinez
turn the mic up also lmao that's just string noise
Carson Anderson
Is that 9th note within the key scale?
Mason Diaz
idk it's in general is that the answer to the question, the notes in the chord just have to be in the scale?
Xavier Peterson
Not necessarily.
Em by itself can function in C Major, G Major, and D Major, but there are only certain permutations that can function diatonically in each. Em9(E,G,B,D,F#) for example can only function in G and D, but if you make that say Em13(E,G,B,D,F#,A,C), then it can only function in G major.
Liam Lee
>engineer is going to be mad for paying him per hour to sit on his ass in A/C and click a button You know flat rate has multiple different meanings depending on the industry. You should find out if he actually means per hour before you make yourself look like an even bigger fool.
Nathan Rivera
Another example. An A(A,C#,E) Chord, can function in D Major, A Major, and E Major. If we make it an A7(A,C#,E,G) then that will only function as our dominant in D. AMaj7(A,C#,E,G#) will function in both A and E. An AMaj11(Adds a D) chord can only function in A, whereas an AMaj13#11 will only function in E.
Dylan Lee
>implying I know it's not per hour Like everything legit, you sign what you're paying for before beginning He's opting to waste his time and that's fine with me
Brayden Jones
I have two but leave the second one switched off because it's too damn loud
Blues jr maybe
Define "loud" and "light", a fucking 5 watt champ is too heavy and loud for some of the mustang-toting pajamaboys who play guitar these days
Elijah Kelly
their standard tuning is different checkmate
Easton Clark
the sound of the twin reverb is "really fucking loud fender amp"
I hope you guys are enjoying playing guitar and are blessed with inspiration and creativity. I hope you all find your own unique style and release bandcamp albums that net you deals with indie labels and opening shows for your favorite bands. You deserve it
Oliver Lopez
i just wanted to play wonderwall at parties and get laid
James Reed
i think of cool riffs during my lunch breaks then play and tweak them when I get home
Michael Wright
yeah but he's based tho go play half the shit he plays, post a vocaroo then talk shit, bitch nigga, complaining is easy
Owen Parker
Tf is that if you cant get a decent bong just roll a joint narco
Noah Parker
If i only have about 2 hours to practice at the end of the day , when im too mentally exhausted to learn new things , what should i practice? Iv been playing for a couple months and as of now i just practice parts from songs i like and every one in a while i do scales with a metronome at 130
Angel Anderson
who cares? dude is just playing the guitar. at least he isnt harassing strangers on the street with some epic pranks
Brayden Thomas
imagine thinking tonewood isn't real when all pickups are microphonic to a degree
>the acoustic sound of the guitar is not picked up by the pickups durr
Tyler Foster
its real but its influence pales in comparison to the amp
Angel Price
Anybody have any experience with an Ibanez Ibanez RG350DXZ, and care to tell me about it?
Pickups that are microphonic are considered to not be working correctly, and are SEVERELY limited in what frequencies they transmit, when they do. That's why dipping them in wax is a thing, to stop the coils from moving - which in rare occasions can actually transmit sound - but in the vast majority of time, "microphonic" means feedback/squealing. (and of course, you'll fire back "b-but I HERD it on my cousin's friend's father's guitar, I know things, derrrr") An electric guitar (solid) makes a signal from a wire moving in a magnetic field. The only way the wood could influence the sound is how the entire guitar vibrates, which (possibly) influences the waveform the pickups generate, because it influences the string. And, I maintain that it's so subtle, it's undetectable, and more in a player's mind, falling for "tone wood" marketing - and is completely lost the second gain or distortion is added to the signal. Making the claim that a good guitar gets tone from pickups not working correctly is THE most try hard thing I've seen posted in /gg yet. Grats. It takes serious ignorance of the basic tech of pickups, and how they work, to do that.
Henry Edwards
>Can't even afford a real bong
Did you pick that bottle out of the trash, like everything else in your hovel?
(In before the "your mother" response, we know, you want to fuck your mother)
Literally all pickups are somewhat microphonic, if only because you're shaking them beneath the strings, but usually because they just are, a little. Even my EMG set picks up taps on the guitar body if it's near the pickup. Things like direct mounting without any foam and tele bridge plates probably make it more dramatic. Strat pickguards and plastic pickup rings lessen it.
Most teles i've played had a slight reverb sound to the bridge pickup, probably from the pickup itself vibrating. They also had worse feedback than every other guitar.
> think fancy pickups are a meme > buy Ibanez upgraded with dimarzio pickups > can't stop playing it because it keeps giving me ear orgasms, plus the neck is really comfy and body is so light that I just keep it strapped around meself while shitposting
I think my quest for the perfect superstrat is finally over. I'm gonna sell the jackson with EMGs and keep the other one for weird tunings.
me having blackstar ht club 40 amplification, what thred think about blackstar amplificate?
Nolan Jackson
How do you do that I can't come up with riffs without a guitar
Andrew Lopez
9am and I'm already freaking out
Bands are lazy and don't want to work and practice and have a defined plan for recording albums (been to two projects)
Then I can't fucking bring my luthier to set up my Les Paul the way I want because he thinks I'm a confused retard and goes around telling me what I should want
Got the band to try recording at my room, they saw my untreated walls and decided to record at a studio and I'd do the mixing
Then studio owners are weebs with money to buy gear and 3rd class engineering skills, and the time is limited and I'm not alone so I can't go around experimenting for hours
Then I quitted the bands and decided to focus on learning to sing and to compose, but I can't bring myself to write a song that doesn't sound like reharsed crap
Angel Young
>learning to sing How the fuck do you do that without everyone hearing you?
There's stuff I can practice quietly like breathing and pitch but I sing badly loudly anyway Sometimes it's easier and sometimes it's hard and the anxiety is bad but there's no other way other than exposure Tbh I'm more anxious of singing mee Mee may may exercises than songs, I need to break through that
Blake Cook
>post stereo double tracked guitars, each one playing different inversions and strumming differently
>how did you get that stereo effect user? was it a vst or did you delay one of the channels, or record the amp with two microphones?
I only sing in my car while at speed. If anyone heard me from outside a wall it would be terrible. I'd sing for other people, but only with my dick out, not behind a wall.
Carter Bennett
Because I'm gonna get GNU/Cucked by SJWs anyways
Adam Price
>is comfortable singing in the car at high speed because no one sees you >behind a wall nobody sees you >in front of people is more comfortable than behind a wall What
Leo Phillips
>Seen more comedy at a fucking funeral than that guy Agreed, but I have nothing against the guy himself. I appreciate his videos where he plays through solos with clean tone. Makes learning them a bit easier.
Juan Carter
This guy gets it
Eli Nguyen
Ive learnt the majority of basic open chords, barre chords, could solo very poorly on the fretboard and know a handful of songs. Where do i go from here? i still feel completely clueless and skill-less.
Jaxson Turner
That Turkish looking guy? Rudy I think? His videos are funny. 2x0, you proved to be an insufferable faggot
Chase Morgan
master a genre instead of poking around like a headless chicken
Caleb Brooks
> in car at speed No one hears me. Peaceful, mistakes encouraged, experimented with, and corrected. > in room People can hear me. Great disconnect between them and I. Shriveled dick. Tense, can't make mistakes. Embarrassing. > in front of people Dick out. Can insult audience. Direct feedback both directions. I am the master here, raping the listeners with my bad pitch.
Robert King
Sorry bro, I'll get right on it.
Joshua Evans
>Shriveled dick Do you ever get that feeling like your dick is shrinking when someone is being a dick to you in traffic? I've tried to become conscious of when this happens and get a huge boner instead because I don't want jerkoff drivers cucking me into having a timid, shriveled dick.
Justin Murphy
da, it good
Kevin Adams
Or maybe I'm fighting the body's natural response when it thinks it's about to get into a physical altercation and needs to protect its appendages, like cats laying their ears back when they fight. Getting a tiny shriveled dick feels emasculating though.
Ryan Edwards
>feeling like your dick is shrinking when someone is being a dick to you in traffic
This is why I take a viagra before the morning commute every day, so that the niggers and spics on the way to work know who the man is
Caleb Reed
I don't often have people fucking with me in traffic. I wish someone would fuck with me, then I could get my dick out. Good comparison to singing, actually. Passive, hiding from nearby people = shriveled dick. Standing wild in the wind with middle finger(phallic symbol) = dick out. But when you're completely alone, you can be true, like when driving on an empty road at 2 am. No need to prove yourself.
The physical penis is not in question here, I'm talking about the penises on both of your hands (middle fingers), which are actually just a copy of the penis in your mind.
Wyatt Fisher
>> in room >People can hear me. Great disconnect between them and I. Shriveled dick. Tense, can't make mistakes. Embarrassing. >> in front of people >Dick out. Can insult audience. Direct feedback both directions. I am the master here, raping the listeners with my bad pitch. To each his own huh
Carson Clark
>can't crack the whip and be the bad guy Looks like you're a solo act.
Mason Anderson
When I have a bad day at work I'll touch my dick while taking a dump after work and I'll think my dick is smaller
There's no placebo way, you have to act out on whatever is making you feel inferior
Andrew Morris
But certainly, displaying your dick to an audience requires an aggressive power not always present.
Andrew Roberts
I think wageslaving makes dicks smaller. My dick is smaller now than when I was a teenager.
Charles Peterson
That's my desire all the time. The singer even started to say he saw anger expressions in my face. But yeah that's what happened, I couldn't act it out so I quit the band to try to be a solo act. I was insecure and lacked social/persuasion skills. I can't convince them politely and I don't want to be disrespectful and angry and bossy at them because I don't enjoy it and I guess nobody does, which is what you meant by being a bad guy. Meanwhile every damn day I daydream and talk to myself when nobody's looking, pretending I'm ranting at these bandmates laying it real that they should let me produce the album and boss everything. But then again the singer was the leader
Tyler Perry
No shit, you spend your entire day being your boss' beta bitch
Ian Reyes
On this pet shop I don't have to share the space with no boss no co workers, from 9 to 5 I am the fucking boss and I guide the customers. Without me the customers do nothing at this fucking shop. I keep the shop clean.
Hudson Ross
We know , Sam
Gavin Hernandez
Let them do whatever they want. Get the recording tracks somehow and mix it yourself. Then, make a switch.
Camden King
Lmfao its because favela nagives are too stupid to use the internet and get their shit delivered. What are the nutritional differences between puppy chow and large breed kibble?
Landon Lee
It's just the wrong band, move on and keep laying it real.
Michael Wilson
If at least they could play well The bassist can't play his own basslines and the singer ended up recording the bass The drummer is sloppy and rushes with a metronome The singer can sing high but sounds shrill and squeezed
Even if I fixed all that in the mix, the shows would still be shit
Small breeds has more protein and calories Puppy's also has more proteins
Cat food has some vitamins that dog food doesn't and if they eat dog food exclusively they go blind
I don't want to search for bands anymore
Thomas Campbell
It took you this long to google. Truly retarded. Sounds like you were a perfect fit for that band honestly
I want to get a new amp but I'm expected to demo it in store. Any tabs you guys have for noodling I can learn so I sound like I at least know what I'm doing? I'm a beginner. Any tabs for improvisation I need.
congratulations, this is the dumbest post i've read in a /gg/ to date
Jace Lopez
It's from a Mozart Mello lesson. I tried to translate the Portuguese with Google Translate and replace it with text I typed up in MSPaint. Sam should have no problem with the original material, though.
Jonathan Collins
I found it inside your sister's vagina, among the dust and dead insects
If you prove you're in Belo Horizonte I will take a bus myself and meet you
Good afternoon, neet
>90291687 At least you took a rest of it, good move
Kayden Martinez
well, I would assume adding notes from a scale doesn't change if chord fits. So in E minor key you can add 9th to the e minor chord. In modal context I would add notes from mode - in E lydian add #11 to E major.
Bentley Gutierrez
Mozart who? Lmao why are you fucking with brazilian lessons no one cares about?
Bentley Rivera
You're probably better off looking up some "soloing for dummies" type of videos on YouTube by guys like Scott Grove and Eric Blackmon. No disrespect intended to those guys.
Benjamin Ortiz
How about adding notes from your ass? I bet it would add a nice kaka flavor to the sound.
Charles Watson
cant go wrong with a good ProCo rat, should thicken the sound up a lot too
Blake Barnes
tell me whats the status of your rosemetallic gretsch
Zachary Nelson

I will check him out, but I think I skip the video and find some tabs from his lesson. This is excellent for jazz newbie like me. Thanks user.

It's actually not rose metallic, I lied. It's also not a Falcon either. I just said that to "pink gang", I'm a natural finish kind of guy.
Guys, I’m in the market for an Ibanez. Been playing guitar for about 10 years now. I want one made in Japan, not Indonesia. Maybe I’m wrong, but the cheapest I can find made in Japan is the RG550, and new, those suckers are like 8 to 900 bucks; used 700. I’d like to spend 500 at most. I’ve said I’ll settle for used (even though I’d like to support the company), but there’s so many models, idk what to get. Old RG550s and 570s seem to be no cheaper unless they’re chipped and scuffed up, but not something I’m willing to pay 5-600 for. Help; what do?
>cheapest I can find made in Japan is the RG550, and new, those suckers are like 8 to 900 bucks; used 700. I’d like to spend 500 at most Sounds like you have unreachable expectations
I just picked up an Ibanez S prestige for $700 bucks ($775 after tax and shipping). It's pretty good, except for some finish wearing off on the side of the neck between the 4th and 8th frets.

Couldn't be any deeper than I was in your Mom last night ;^)
the robot tuners were actually useful for people who played live
>need alternate tuning >press button >need tuning period >press button
of course gibshit buyers wouldn't know that
Isaiah Lopez
just play something you've practiced you do practice... right?
Thomas Mitchell
He just said he's a beginner
Probably to control the prices?
Jose Torres
No. If you want a Japanese (or american) guitar you are going to have to cough up the cash. Even 700 bucks is cheap for that quality.
Aiden Gray
>Ibenhad >quality Lmao
Wyatt Smith
>all the famous talented people are wrong >ibanez just paid them not to play gibsons, the best guitar >i didn't waste my money on that K-on les paul standard.... ;_;

Looks like you understand the situation very well! Paul Gilbert sounds thin
Nicholas Ramirez
Old school tone is thin, bright, and cutting more than anything else. Vintage tone is shitty tone.
Or do you mean the distortion is thinner, as in the sound isn't as heavily distorted by poweramp and speaker breakup?
Cameron Lopez
I thought the CIA quit making those ludicrous ISIS/ISIL snuff films.
Logan Brooks
bridge pickup sounds thinner than neck pickup, tone knob all the way up sounds thinner than tone knob at 80%
that's it really, some people just associate ibanez with only having a bridge pickup and no tone knob because muh shredders (that's more of ESP's thing)

So /gg/ i own this Ibanez MIJ RG450ltd which i bought for like 130 used. You all seem to say that japanese guitars are quite expensive, is mine just a stupid good deal, or is there a quality difference?? Thanks for any answers in advance. pic related is the guitar.
He and Bruce also used to wire their pickups in parallel, or so I hear. Don't think they do that any more. Also he switched from Duncans to DiMarzios.
Charles Thompson
the guy who sold it got ripped off
or maybe the neck is warped and you never noticed, because lolthin
James Smith
i put 11s on it and the spring tension was pretty high, how can i check if it's warped?
Jayden Sanders

Samuel Fisher
Yea Forums flavor of the week fap material pop star.
Gavin Garcia
Also what would you value the guitar at?
Ethan Bailey
>Yea Forums flavor of the week she's been constantly spammed here for over two years now. she's the zoomer grimes
Henry Ward
>Or do you mean the distortion is thinner, as in the sound isn't as heavily distorted by poweramp and speaker breakup? Yes, the poweramp, that's what I was referring to, in our discussion about guitars.
These straps are the worst and not worth it. The locking mechanism is very easy to unlock and the hard plastic material will ruin the finish on you guitar. You're better off with Dunlop or schaller strap locks or this: TimbreGear Guitar Strap (Black pocket) amazon.com/dp/B0776ZNDN1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_fyqIDbJZZJJ45
Ayden Cook
I don't ;)
