Keane just released their first album in 7 years, what do you think of it? You can listen to all the songs on the band's YouTube

Listening it to it now. You're not home sounds like their old selves. Only people with real tastes will post to this thread
I'M TRYING TO MAKE A MOVE JUST TO STAY IN THE GAME
Under the Iron Sea is their best album.
I liked their direction on Perfect Symmetry even though it felt unfinished
Strangeland was a total borefest
I honestly think Hopes and Fears is a better album than Ok Computer
>Traditionally speaking, the three biggest twats in any band are the singer, the keyboardist, and the drummer. I don’t need to say anything else.
I enjoy Hopes and Fears and Under the Iron Sea, but just listening to either you can hear undeniable influence from Radiohead. Especially in the opening track Atlantic.
I forgot to mention that I don't mean this statement to be a dig. I enjoy both Keane records more than Ok Computer. Merely giving credit where it's due.
that you like it better is a matter of taste. However, one cannot deny that OK Computer definitely marked the path for the post britpop bands. Keane has focused on songs like Let Down and No Surprises for their compositions .
There is a very sad story about that version of Hopes and Fears: it didn´t have On A Day Like Today in the tracklist. Island Records should be absolutely ashamed of that move because that power ballad takes you somewhere else, no other songs can do that (maybe Fly to Me).
Yeah
>Friendly Fires
>Keane
>The Futureheads
What's with biritsh landfill indie bands suddenly making a comeback?

Shut up incel. I'll beat your ass in FIFA again
I didn't like the first singles too much, but the first track is already way better
Keane has got to be the dumbest name for a band I’ve ever heard
I have heard way worse
Damn Phases is a great song
Keane haven't made a good album since their debut
Maximo Park are the only big indie band from that era whose recent work is as good as their early stuff
Futureheads never meant to go away but their lead singer has bipolar and was institutionalised for two years
new album is pretty nice

>Maximo Park
Poor man's Franz Ferdinand
Also Kaiser Chiefs made new album this year and it's generic electro pop
Oh I didn't know about that
Employment was AOTY
who?
The band who made Somewhere Only We Know
Franz Ferdinand are a poor man's Dandy Warhols, they have the charisma but like 2 or 3 songs
Doves are back as well and touring
I wonder if they release new material
