Are any neofolk bands actual nazis? Like, more seriously into nazi shit than Death in June?

even a lot of blatant neo-nazis don't 'support' ethnic genocide, since they deny the holocaust, and generally claim the nastier parts of nazi germany were made up as propaganda by the allies. the only reason they'd deny it the holocaust is if they know it's atrocious.

It's kind of hard to deny the holocaust now. Even David Irving has recanted, and he was at the fore of holocaust skepticism and historical revisionism.
The down-low of what Irving now believes, since he ostensibly trawled through primary evidence to inform his biography on Himmler, is that the holocaust was a project of the SS ordered first and foremost by Himmler, keeping Hitler out of the loop and subverting his leadership.
Essentially, Irving seems determined at every turn to exonerate Hitler specifically. Even if he is true that the holocaust was an SS project kept secret from Hitler, I don't think Hitler can be exonerated - after all, the antisemitic rhetoric from Hitler, Goebbels, Streicher et al surely emboldened an antisemitic attitude within the party which was acted out by the likes of Himmler. Hitler allowed that attitude to flourish within the Nazi ranks and at no point sought to openly contest and control it, even if - as Irving claims - he may have personally not held ill will towards all Jews, or even protected some from persecution.

But neofolk isn't about hiding their nazi ideology. It's about proclaiming each artist's personal brand non-nazi new-right ideology, which is far cooler. How can anyone be an unironic nazi in this day and age if not for reasons of contrarianism?

I'm absolutely in love with Death In June and Current 93, wich I've been listening to nonstop for half a year now. From both artists there are still many things I have yet to listen to, like the DI6 albums this poster mentions whom I only know of Scorpion Wind (really on point what you said about Boyd Rice here) and of course Rose Clouds, wich is a really beautiful album...
Of C93 I know much less, but still love immensively and been discovering stuff from them from time to time. I'm deeply in love with Swastikas for Noddy, Black Ships, Earth Covers Earth, THunder Perfect Mind and The Inmost Light. What other albums by C93 would you guys recommend me?
Also... Are there any other Neofolk bands I should check out? Judging Neofolk only for what I know from DI6 and C93, I connect deeply with it's beautiful lyrics, and I honestly don't consider them nazi at all, I think it's all beyond that, like sometimes It pokes fun of the original nazi obsession with the sublime and it's social culture (Comes to my mind tracks like "Heilige Tod" by DI6 and "Hey, Ho! The Noddy oh! " by C93, both of them give me the feeling of being sort of parodies of what the Hitler Youth would make you sing in a choir group, of the kind of popular songs they would sing during camping days, wich I find charming, and both beautifully singed by Rose Mcdowall)
But when I tried listening to things from the likes of Rome or Sol Invictus, I don't know, I haven't connected with them yet, they feel like they're self aware neofolk, but maybe I haven't been listening carefully enough... So, what do you guys recommend me?

Cult Of Youth is the only current "neo-folk" band I enjoy.

Keep on trying with Rome. He has a unique vision and is clearly one of the most intelligent writers in all of neofolk. I recommend their latest release nd The Hyperion Machine. Sol Invictus is hard to get into because Tony Wakeford is a terrible singer and guitarist, and his style of playing doesn't lend itself well to that lack of talent as well as Doug's monotonous strumming does. Did you try Sonne Hagal? You'll have to elaborate on that self-awareness you see in Rome/SI and perhaps on what you enjoy about Death In June a little bit for better recs. Apart from that, maybe you will find something here

He was friends with Boyd Rice afterwards though, who was also involved with Tiny Tim. Plus he's still friends with Michael Monyahin, Ian Read and other, who have some friends and collaborators much more homophobic than Tiny Tim. The truth is, that David and Douglas were drifting apart anyway, mostly because David couldn't stand Douglas' fascination with fascism growing ever more problematic - as is evident from that Song For Douglas that Tibet recorded.
