because fuck you
leave people the fuck alone, listen to the music then fuck off.

how was the show? I'm gonna see them in brooklyn next week.

respect peoples privacy

Just bought the Dots & Loops Remaster today. Exited to play it tmo

tim gane was really nice and i got some pics with him. i got my record signed by both him laetitia. she wasn't a bitch about it or anything, she just didn't want to take pics.
it was great, although kinda short. they did an encore for us though which was really amazing

How was the tracklist? Varied or leaning toward any era? Thinking of going to one of their shows but its like 70 dollars so I wanna know before I dump cash on this

Did they play any of their good early noise pop stuff or just that lame lounge music from Dots and Loops onwards?

At the show I was they played
Brakhage
Miss Modular
Double Rocker
Metronomic Underground
Percolator
John Cage Bubblegum
French Disko
A Flower Called Nowhere
Rainbow Conversation
Infinity Girl
And a few other songs that I didn't know the names of, some were probably songs from Emperor Tomato Ketchup and their albums after 2000.
I was really hoping they would play Jenny Ondioline desu.

she's hot?

She might just be really self conscious or uncomfortable with that situation.

What "situation"?

>marxists who "care" about the working class treat common people like dirt when they think nobody is looking
whoa... that's never happened before...

Maybe the working class should get better manners, hmm?

>I literally cannot stop sucking dick and bringing up armchair politics

What does this post have to do with music? Read the rules if you're new to the site.

sneed

>tfw the stereolab concert sold out before i found out about it
JUST

marxism is literally part of the band's concept. nobody would chastise somebody for "going off topic" if a conversation about Skrewdriver devolved into arguing about nazis. interesting double standard

>John Cage Bubblegum
nice

Eh, some song here and there have Marxist lyrics, and in a hidden message way. This band is mostly instrumental and Marxism is definitely not key concept of them or their sound.

Listening to some of those songs without Mary is a feel I'm not shure I want

Some people just don't like having their picture taken

Why would you ever want to take a picture with an artist rather than have a genuine interaction? It's honestly so conceited and geeked out. Just talk to them.

Based

amerimutt celebrity worship culture

looks like he struck a chord huh

isnt one of them dead?

damn, thanks for this. will def be buying tix for their detroit show

Yeah but she wasn't there

i met her several years ago on a solo tour and she was incredibly nice. i was a little star struck and my people were making fun of me, but i didnt request a picture like other autists. seeing Stereolab at the end of the month in D.C. Pretty stoked.

Stereolab is essentially a 90s band, kid. Even if a woman was "hot" in the 90s, she ain't going to be "hot" 20 years later. Anyway, Laetitia is 51 years old, and if you want to know what she looks like, learn to use a search engine. It's not like she's some unknown underground artist no one has ever captured in a photograph.

holy shit KEK!

>no Pack Yr. Romantic Mind

don't know why op, i got a picture with her and a hug after the show i went to

They played Lo Boob Oscillator now that I remember.
They had a recording of her voice playing.

she replaced the original singer who died, right?i could understand not wanting to do photos for a reunion tour under that circumstance

Attached: oof.jpg (640x626, 27K)

Which show? I was at the El Paso show.

>They had a recording of her voice playing
That makes it even sadder

Laetitia was always the singer, she started the band. Marie was the one who died, she joined the band because she was Laetitias bff and couldn't even play. But her backing vocals where essential to the bands sound, they refused to have someone else to sing her parts after she died to not disrespect her memories and barely played stuff from the era she was in the band.

I saw them 6 times from '96-'06, 3 times w/Mary and 3 without. Glad they're back out there and you got a chance to see them.

it was a show at walter's in houston about 2 years ago, nobody really stayed afterwards, i was also able to get an awkward picture with her before i left

>houston about 2 years ago
I thought El Paso was their first club show in North America in over a decade.

forgot to mention it wasn't stereolab, it was laetita sadier source ensemble

" Drawing from Surrealist and Situationist movements, their songs are politically and philosophically charged, leading some critics to describe the group as Marxists, a characterisation that Gane and Sadier deny. "

Bros, I bought tickets to Sterolab way back when but Ghost is playing on the same day, and I'd rather see Ghost. What should I do

Stereolab.

Did they play Come And Play In The Milky Night?

stereolab. when are you going to get this opportunity again?

Wish I could see them but they're only playing a shitty festival in my town which is too expensive to just go for one band.

I paid $34 for my ticket :^)

I'm going to Ghost, should I post the barcodes to my Stereolab tickets

flip the tickets online dog. i really wanted to see the atl show, but that sold out so im going to dc instead.

>paying $70 to see a lame concert from a washed up band
>common people or working class
kek, the disingenuous pearl clutching

>Ghost
Yeah isnt it just one dude with a juggalo fetish who fires band members at will. pass

Most of you probably don't even like taking pictures with your family, imagine how shit it is to have a bunch of rancid fucks asking for selfies with you.

I love taking pictures with strangers.

The track from Emperor Tomato Ketchup that I forgot the name of was Slow Fast Hazel.

>They had a recording of her voice playing.
That's really sad.

Gotta buy those expanded reissues

I remember when I saw Mount Eerie live the guy sitting next to me bought a record from Phil, since he works his own stand, and was showing it to his girlfriend that he got Phil to sign it, than less than 5 minutes later I see a tweet go out on Phil's Twitter, that says something along the lines of, "signing records kills a little bit of my soul."

He is such a faggot.

Doesn't he have a no signing "policy" anyway?
no you

I think Phil is just retarded. If I ever saw him live I think I'd either avoid talking to him or talk to him just to annoy him.

What a fag. Signing is different than taking a photo. I don't blame stereolab lady
