Clarity and overproduction are different. Bands like Undergang and Disma aren't overproduced at all, but you can clearly hear every instrument, it's just not mixed like pop rock. With bands like Rings of Saturn or Infant Annihilator (extreme cases, but it's to get a point across) the drums are clicky, lacking punch, the guitar is do clean you can hardly tell it's distorted (and usually cleaned up to the point where you can't tell a human played it) and the bass, instead of being a low-end backdrop is clear and ends up only showing through when it's the only thing playing or doing drastically different things than the guitar.

Their first two records are by far their best in my opinion, the vocals are absolutely retarded and the riffs are top tier for tech while mixing in elements from 90's NYDM kinda, without really becoming brutal tech

Some would call 'em "Epic Heavy Metal" I don't think that they sound very different to what Helloween or Grave Digger were doing at the time. To me they are punchier, shredier, faster and with more mid-end vocal melodies than standard NWOBHM
