The sound is horrible. I've seen indie/sludge bands making more confronting sounds than black metal. Dynamics is nearly non existant with some bands.

I've seen a few indig australian artists doing weird shit with doom /sludge/drone. That makes sense because they made digeridoos and the sound is similar in many ways.
Not really black metal though.

Band has disappeared though. I was annoyed because the guitarist on this record seemed to be doing the same sound as I was starting to dive into, but I never got a band together.
Got that watery thing too, so it sounds more like grunge too.

There are heavier bands in this area that go more metal side of that.

It already happened, in the form of underground music from South Florida, England, and the DMV (and other places too). Instead of rapping over metal instrumentals, these rappers rap and scream over metal (mainly nu-metal, industrial metal, and extreme metal) inspired beats, whether it be mixing guitar riffs into a trap beat, having a very distorted beat with blastbeat 808s, or even breaking down into live instrumentation when the song calls for it. Denzel Curry, Rico Nasty, OmenXIII, XXXTentacion, early Ski Mask the Slump God, and Scarlxrd are some examples of black rappers who grew up listening to metal and hardcore growing up, that have had those influences in some of their songs.
