Noise, Experimental, Weird shit

Can we get a noise, experiential, and off the wall music thread going?

Getting bored with normal shit lately and want to get deeper into this side of music.

lmao okay pseud

Deep Listening

remember that band, i think they were called 'tinsel teeth'
the only notable thing about them was they were fronted by a girl who was butt naked except for a strap on
she did nothing but scream at people and roll around on a dirty floor

noise music

if you don't like noise you're genuinely sub 130 IQ

why does noise music always have to be thought of as intellectual or whatever? what if someone just thinks it sounds interesting and like the creative techniques used to make it?

Currently listening to:
Rakta - Falha Comum

cringe generalization

You're right about that stuff being dumb though.

DUDE WHAT IF I GOT NAKED AND ROLLED AROUND ON THE FLOOR SOOO EPIC

my favorite PE album, shame it's hated but such is noise.

i think it's hated because of the over-the-top lyrics/shouting/screaming, resulting a bit ridiculous, but i also love that album.

Well the boredoms is a entry level start to noise id say, that amd whatever Yamatsuka EYE does.
not saying you asked for that but who ever is interested in diving in and junk

Attached: Cover.jpg (600x606, 321K)

Yeah Boredoms is one of the best starter noise projects in my opinion (I might be biased though, that was one of the first noise projects I got into)

why is harsh noise wall considered "harder" to listen to than harsh noise?

i've experienced the opposite.

I don't know why people all of a sudden expect PE to be so decorous. the vocals are mixed well too

Prurient - Frozen Niagra Falls is a good place to start. Worked for me

Cant forget about Throbbing Gristle

boredoms is easy to get into since it's got some stuff going on other than just atonal/harsh noise, only other band i can think of that made that kind of combination of melody, instrumentation and noise is animal collective

Don't even remember how I found this, but there's some hella experimental noise-esque shit on here

That's what the majority of the people who listen to it like it for.

they broke up earlier this year. i only just found out. how to cope

Attached: cover.jpg (1500x1488, 413K)

from what exactly do you draw that conclusion?
people who don't like either genre see less musical aspects in wall noise and decide it's the one that's harder to listen to based on that probably.
VÀG's Music for Smoke Filled Elevators is honestly quite pleasant to listen to

i went to college somewhere in latin america with a girl who liked noise and shitty dadaist art, she eventually went touring europe, the only thing she did was break guitars and scrap the microphone against the splints. She also made shitty drawings and got a show her work at a gallery in new york. You can say she lives the hipster dream.

>it's hated because of the over-the-top lyrics/shouting/screaming
Yeah, that's the point, it's taking place from the point of view of a serial killer, what do people expect, serious analysis of his motives? No, it's about capturing that rage and anger.

dilloway, cherry point, emeralds, crowhurst, joseph hammer and redrot are all great

How wide was her vagina?

Maybe listen to something a little bit more accessible like Merzbeat, should be a good start.

the worst thing about noise and other experimental music is how easy it is to make it. a niche genre like this shouldn't have such a huge pile of unimaginative crap to sift through

>from what exactly do you draw that conclusion?
from actually being on noise events and being a regular in the local noise 'community'. The majority of the people I have met through noise are not the pretentious type you'll see commenting on youtube. In fact, people mostly just enjoy the weird textures of incoherent sounds that are all over the place, nothing more. It ain't some 'woke' movement like tool basedbois.
god bless you user, those are some nice sounds

Yup right this shit here

I have been listening to a lot of Merzbow recently thanks to merzcast reigniting my interest. Also been digging totalblack.bandcamp.com/album/the-data-industrial-complex and other recent Total Black stuff (PE with "water vocals"/samples).

what is this

youtube.com/watch?v=iIs7UbU3zTo (mistletoe-vampyric gaze 1918)

youtube.com/watch?v=igcnXaBbIgc (tinnitustimulus live @ summer scum) forgot to add this

What in the fuck

what?

It's hated because:
1. Basically the same reason as for Daughters abrasiveness meme. Well, it is abrasive but
1) There's much more abrasive stuff in power electronics
2) Abrasiveness isn't even the point of power electronics
2. Surface level album mentioned everywhere.
3. True crime power electronics has been overdone to shit to the point when people can't take it anymore and vomit.

Senlin - waiting for the knife

senlinsound.bandcamp.com/album/waiting-for-the-knife

would love some recs
I'm on my fourth listen now
It's not about abrasiveness as say a whitehouse album. I have a decent setup and I rarely have to turn the album down due to a particularity high pitched tone. I've found that it takes a more psychedelic quality, with some it's more engrossing walls having a distinct (melodic) tone to it.
Alot of your other points are elitist, Bird Seed is a meme but i'd never hold it's popularity against it. GR's concept is emotionally sincere, if not a little meatheaded (but we all love brainbombs). Deathpile has been in it since '96 he deserved his true crime stint anyways.

Attached: mantra.png (1213x766, 773K)

Black Dice is really good

I know i've made two whitehouse comparisons because I think that might be common ground. Inb4 Bennet is a better vocalist I know I already concede.

The album is actually great. I love the crunchy harsh wall noise textures and even the shouting/screams are okay, even the concept. The only funny thing about the whole album are the exaggerated lyrics. It's like Slogun, which is pretty laughable sometimes.

I always wanted to shill this

What's a great counterargument when someone who's classically trained tells me that "noise music" is not music? Kinda like...
>dude, noise music is not actual music because it lacks harmony, melody and rhythm
?

it doesnt lack any of those qualities

Noise is shit kid, go listen to Scriabin and see how real atmosphere is formed.

>experimental
Is that just another word for shitty?

absolutely based
my favorite PE album as well

>Scriabin
lol xD

>noise
lol xD Rawr uwu experimental nigger offensive word basedgod haha

no idea, she is a lesbian with dyed hair
the funny part is there are creative people who does this, they are the guys who create samples sounds for movies.

was meant for

>G.R.
>hated

It's a major part of the 00s noise canon, especially as far as power electronics are concerned. It's an influential classic.
Stop hanging out with clueless posers and RYM trannies and start hanging out with people who actually know a thing or two about noise and you'll realize it's a highly regarded album.

im making noise right now. Feels good

Based and Jandekpilled.

Forgot pic. Staring at the Cellophane is probably my favorite so far.
Also the way Corwood organizes this shit is almost as fascinating as the music itself. How he's managed to remain as anonymous as he has, even with a full name reveal that still hasn't quite been confirmed, in this day and age, is impressive.

Attached: 0744.jpg (804x803, 80K)

Question, experimental noise people, what would be decent portable synth for noise generation/sound fuckery?
I like me some hard edged, industrial, and experimental music, and I wanna dive in! I just HATE fucking laptops for this.

>DUUUUUUUDE....IDM
youtube.com/watch?v=BaWdmuZzD14

fuck off back to >>>ñu

What's the matter? Too noisy for you?

Have a hug from mommy

That's totally fair. Searching the RYM bottom charts actually unearths some gems for me.

Korg Volca FM
Tricky to get into editing the sounds in depth, but you can get some pretty crazy sounds for not too much money.

Thanks user, I've been kinda drooling over the volca series for a minute, but have been leery of buying new ones aftef my Keys got stolen

Holy shit.

>it's time for dinner, and apparently I left the sink on in the downstairs bathroom and it almost overflowed
>go down to eat with my parents, my dad is fuming, doesn't say it but he definitely thinks I'm on drugs again (I'm sober)
>try to explain about the interface and apologize, I'm sure he thinks I'm lying.
>sitting there eating this Mexican casserole that's basically ground beef, corn, tomatoes, and Frito chips on top with melted cheese

>these people mutilated my penis at birth but I'm apparently the fucked up one because I enjoy listening to things and I like getting high
>I guess the track might as well be done now :|

This just happened.

cant imagine being someone who is STILL pissed off about being circumcised. hey faggot you cant do shit about it it really has zero effect on your life. move on. evolve

You've got to be 18 to post

If you were true noise you would further mutilate your sad little diglet on stage

I just live with my parents so it's something I think about. It helps me temper my interactions with them because it reminds me what their actual intelligence level is. These same people would be mad if I got a tattoo.

Your parents sound pretty based.

You are a wiener jockey

yeah you gotta take rym with a big does of salt when it comes to such fringe genres as noise since they are often rated by people who simply dont like the genre. its quite telling youll find fucking lingua ignota on places 1 and 2 if you search for best noise of all time.

hey man, id love to believe you but you honestly sound 14
why even tell this story

im 27. why post anything? I wanted to gauge the general intelligence of noise threads.

he's got the mark of the goyim

Well hurry the fuck up about it so you can fuck off to the noise subreddit with your autobiography.

>why post anything?
in noise threads? to find new cool noise and to discuss noise music. dont know why you posted this "im going through puberty" story though

put yer balls to the wall op yer about to get a new circumstististion you whiner you gotta be 18 to post here

these kinds of greentexts have log been a staple of this board and this one is noise relevant. Ill bet half the people complaining about this don't even make music

anyone got some good jap noise with fem vocals other than hijokaidan colabs?

lmao that greentext is about fuck all, its barely noise related and is mostly a childish tantrum of an apparently 27 yr old manchild, truly a "staple of this board" wow

the fact you guys feel this opposed to it only goes to show how little you understand the necessity of music like this in our society. Any sane person would laugh or shrug but also acknowledge the fucked up reality of oppression that the story represents.

That's a shame, but they had a hell of a good run. I can't think of many experimental/PE bands that have as many good albums as them.

Very nice user.

Great choice. Lustmord-Heresy is an obvious one if you haven't listened to it yet. I would also recommend Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere-Misanthropy if you're into drone/doom.

I wish someone would put this stuff in a mega so I could download and listen.

anyone have ideas of household objects and shit I can use to make noise with just a microphone and DAW?

Accept that it doesnt have to be "music" in order for you to still be able to listen to it and enjoy it. I listen to plenty of sound recordings that can't be classified as music at all and it's incredible, think I give a fuck if someone calls it "music" or not?

I'm going to say: based. Take what you can; give nothing back.

PS don't hate on the dogs

I'm gonna watch adult swim in a few hours too while I eat more food. I'm not proud, but essentially accept my current status the same way one would accept an in inherited genetic disease, only I know when I move out in a few months I can cure my condition and begin a road to recovery with full agency over my environment, less negative energy around me, and full access to helpful narcotic medicines.
