the shit production adds to its charm so i don't know if it counts

Eh, i dont thik its that bad
This one is deliberate and adds to the album
Yeah, the fact that it was mastered off of 128kbps files makes this album better.
>dude low quality clippy mp3 quality has "soul" and "lo-fi analog warmth"
yikes
who are you quoting
>dude I posted a greentext with the word dude and a statement with no argument
yikes
>dude hi quality production totality has musical value dude it makes the music better i swear to god please tell me unloading $1000 to record one single was worth it please man people like it more i promise
would legit be one of the greatest albums of all time if it had proper production
All Husker Du albums
it's not terrible but I see what you mean
deathconsiousness is actually produced -phenomenally- for a lo-fi record
no
this album really evokes the vast majestic frozen plains of Peter Tagtgren's recording studio
this and all things must pass
obligatory
This
>dude not being able to hear the instruments adds charm and personality haha
It's not that bad if you get the Brickwallhater fan remix
original bowie mix isn't that bad either. not everything has to be mixed like Green Day, guys
What's so bad about its production? Honest question, I just found it to be really unremarkable, but not bad.
I unironically wish Nattens Madgrial didn't sound like shit
i love this album and i dont know what production means help
great album art though
Are the cymbals supposed to be so goddamn loud? Is my copy broken?
I think it was intentional, especially compared to all their other albums.
Any old JG Thirlwell album.
yesh
digital compression is just fucking bad, man. it's the worst kind of "lo-fi", it's just fucking weak.
ironically their cheap albums sound way better for their purposes. the production on their major label shit is a travesty. grant's drums and cymbals were recorded separately with obnoxious digital reverb, it's just a mess. i'll take cardboard drums and glitchy stereo distortion over whatever the hell that was supposed to be any day
The Dead C - Trapdoor Fucking Exit
no shit
not sure you know what production means
Like 13 year olds playing in a warehouse but I love this record.
That album by Naang Naang
It's great Psych pop but the shitty quality of the recording material and cassette makes the vocals sound fucking painful
big troubles - worry (2010)
Is lo-fi the same as bad production?
Baroness - Gold and Grey
>Smith claimed that the recording studio was so appalled by the sound that the group were asked to remove the studio's name from the album sleeve
Its still my favourite release from them unironically
Every song on this one was mastered differently.
I like that approach, тbh.
I hate Lars so much.
But... That was the point...
op never specified the shitty production had to be unintentional
This and WL/WH
You know it's true
Based
This album right here
maybe one day adam will do that rerecord
It was meant to be normal in fidelity but dan lost the masters and all he had were 128kbps backups.
What? That’s literally the one reason it stands alone. Now Transylvanian Hunger actually has bad production, a downgrade from the truly cold Under a Funeral Moon. But the Ulver album (too lazy to google spelling) N.M. has a GORGEOUS guitar tone.
