I've always wondered, how is this recurring thread never banned? It goes against Yea Forums global imageboard rules. This is exactly what got dinotendies banned from /ck/ (RIP) and EF and s/o/viet banned from /o/. Is it okay because it's a containment thread?
Sebastian Scott
what rule does it break?

Which global rule?
If these threads didn’t exist people would just create threads to shill their shit by the true definition of the word, i.e. pretending they aren’t connected to it.

Try using modern instrumentation. Or at least this: -1st buy fl studio, its all you need at 1st -2nd make a kick/snare rythem -invite some producers over to hang out and get them to help geta melody / bassline idea -3rd get some studio time, 4th, get some experienced producers to work with you during your session(s) 5th let them do whatever they want to the song to make it good. 6th DONE! you have a new song you can upload online and start blowing up. rules specifically for Yea Forums allows this. Otherwise mods would be battling 100s of soundcloud artists making their own threads to promote their stuff Polyrhythms are more important than you beginner producers think. You think"duhh Im st00pid so I du kick one 1 and snare on da 3, yay!" But that's pathetic. Man up and experiment with legitimate beats and rhythms. You should learn about Complex Flow. It's an important aspect to enjoyable beats. Once you man up and start trying to create something great instead of something that will go "viral" (which NEVER do, if that's what you aim for... HA!) But whatever, I can rant to you all day and you'll still be making generic beats. & & Spotify will destroy your career, or I should say your attempt at one before it even begins. Spotify's whole gameplan is to securely steal music from artists and then when that artist disappears they rebrand the music under a new name. Basically like what the industry did with Lady GaGa but now it's Spotify doing it and no one knows. Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive" all the way up. Turn other volume knobs down to get the loudness you want. Once you've proved you can get heavy distortion, dial things back to find the tone you want. Focus on being LOUD!! Some amps won't distort at low volumes, mainly because that's dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like this, either just play loud or give up.
Ok, here's what you really need to know. Bass is integral to music. It's is the true backbone to all music. Drums/Beats are ONLY rhythm, and guitars/synths etc are ONLY melody. But bass? Bass is BOTH. That's why bass makes or breaks a song. So when in doubt BOOST it out! SKIP ;) Bro YOOoo your folky music is making me poop I have a few suggestions (keep in mind I don't 100% know what your song is builtout of, depending on how many layers you have in the song will affect these suggestions) 1. EQ every instrument to a different frequency range. That way nothing is on top of eachother sonically, if multiple instruments are "stacked" they will squash the loudness when you master the track, 3. Mix. mix everything now after the new EQing, and wile mixing, EQ the master track with each section (bass, mid, high) you should be able to have each section really shining to their maxamumm now that no instruments will be squshing the power. 2. Mastering, after you have everything EQd and mixed, master the song by compressing (not too much!) the master track, and slowly turn up the gain- not all the way. adjust the any EQing in the master track now if you've noticed any issues but you shouldn't be EQing all that much (if at all!!!) Slowly turn up the gain again until the master volume is hitting 0. Tada! a perfect LOUD mix.
Global rule 11. Dinotendies posted a screenshot of his ban the second he made his channel monetized to his channel IIRC, cited rule 11 and was permanent on all boards Yea Forums.org/rules >rules specifically for Yea Forums allows this. Otherwise mods would be battling 100s of soundcloud artists making their own threads to promote their stuff that actually makes sense.

>that actually makes sense no no ignore him, that's dubbi, he just lies about things, don't read what he says.

Fair enough, I am pretty sure I hit the brown note in that first song.
